★Introduce yourself!★

OK Everyone, this is the introductions thread. Post a little bit about yourself, why you’re here, what you are looking to get out of life, your goals, dreams and aspirations. Basically anything relevant that you’re comfortable enough sharing with this community.

I guess I’ll start…

My name is Lee Nutter, I currently reside in Sydney, Australia and live with my partner Mel. We had plans to move overseas but are enjoying ourselves so much, and feel so lucky to be a part of an amazing and interesting part of this beautiful country that we’ve put our immigration plans off until further notice.

I spend my days tending to multiple web sites. bmindful being one of them. This was one of my first big projects and is my current obsession. I’ve come to realize that there’s a lot of potential right here and if we all work together we can make this community into something incredible.

I’ve closed down numerous other sites so I can focus on this one but I still do work on a few other sites that I helped build and continue to maintain and improve on. At the moment it’s primarily these other sites that go towards paying the bills.

I’m self employed and I’m not ashamed to say that although I’m not doing all that well at the moment, I really feel that I’ve finally found my focus and I’m absolutely going to make something happen this time.

I have had some successes in the past, but as it is right now I’d be making many times what I do working even just a few days a week doing this for someone else. However, I’m stubborn and refuse to give up. Whilst I’m forever changing and improving and I’ll always have my ups and downs, I feel that I’ve got my personal life to a point where I can really focus on first generating enough income to cover expenses and eventually enough to allow me the freedom to travel the world and make a difference in a big, big way.

So that’s where I’m at right now, I’d love for you to contribute to this thread by introducing yourself and sharing a bit about your story and where you are going now. Just reply to this post using the box below!

“How easy it is in our life, to miss what’s being offered.” — Paul Haller

Hi Lee and all the other bmindful users!

I’m Mel and as mentioned above, I am Lee’s partner, the brains and brawn behnd bmindful.

I am currently working as a preschool teacher in Sydney. I completed my studies only last year so this has been my first year working with children full time. My boss likes to push people where she sees they can succeed so placed me as a room leader despite my infancy. Understandably, this year has been fairly eye opening in terms of learning what I can do and how I react to situations that I never thought I would be in, let alone only 12 months after studying!

I am so proud of what Lee and I have established, both individually and as a couple. We’ve come a long way in the four years we’ve been together and like to think it has made us somewhat wiser to this world and it’s people. Lee and I both strive to create congruence in our lives and take everything as a learning experience – good and bad – to help merge into an understanding of our role and our influence on others. This has been particularly noteworthy for me as I see my influence on the children in my care everyday. For bmindful, I am eager to see how such a community can latch on to these connections and become a really incredible mind bank of positive thinking and influence.

I look forward to getting back in touch with the bmindful community through this forum.

Hi all,

My name is Morgan and although I’m fairly new to this site I am not new to affirmations or personal development.

I’m an information addict, something that I need to work on as I spend a lot of time reading blogs and articles instead of doing something productive. I do love reading though and do so whenever I can but I’m trying to spend more time reading books. When I do get around to it, they’re usually non-fiction and loosly related to personal development.

I’m not religious although I do consider myself spiritual. I’ve got unpopular political views, considering myself Libertarian. I’m contradictory and hypocritical but I’m slowly but surely making myself more congruent, whilst at the same time realizing that in some ways this is absolutely impossible in this greyscale world.

I consider myself open minded, I’m open to just about anything. I’m also stubborn in some ways and sometimes think that I need to use this to my advantage by being a little less impressionable (ie, being open to others views)

I can’t wait to see how this forum develops. I intend on spending a lot of time here. If the forum is anything like the rest of bmindful this forum will become my personal development mastermind group.

Anyway, I hope to see you all around the forum!

Greetings all bmindful dwellers!

Firstly, I want to congratulate Lee on a great web site! To have a community of like minded people is great, but also to now be able to share thoughts & ideas & get to know new friends through this forum, just makes the web site even more useful.

In today’s world, we all tend to suffer from trying to define ourselves by “what we do”. Think about it, when you meet someone for the first time, one of the first things we nearly always ask is “so, what do you do?” This in itself is fine in a business environment; after all, you never know when “what you do” might open up a new opportunity. But there has to be more about us as individuals than what we do for a living. We should work to live, not live to work; otherwise when there is no work, we die!

Don’t get me wrong, I run my own business & I love what I do while I’m working – if I didn’t I wouldn’t do it. But I also enjoy my leisure time, which defines me as a person just as much, if not more, than what I do when I work.

So, a bit about me. I now live in the great city of Sydney, Australia, but originate form the UK, but also lived in New Zealand for 10 years. I believe in the process of continuing personal development, regardless of what format it comes in & have been on this path for the best part of 20 years now. My collection of books, tapes & CD’s would fall into the category of some of my most prized possessions & I listen to CD’s & read books over & over, as I think you always pick up something new, regardless of how often you read them or listen. In fact, I’ve just started to read the classic “Think & Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill again & I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve read it! Of course, affirmations play a big part in any personal development journey & they certainly do in mine.

I’ve been happily married for nearly 30 years now (a few good affirmations helped there!) & have two great kids (adults actually now), who I share a great relationship with & am immensely proud of. I think my family is one of my greatest accomplishments, but it takes a lot of work & too many people give up because “it’s just too hard”.

I enjoy an active life & love to get out & about whenever I can. Sydney offers all the opportunities anyone could ever want, so there is always something to do. And for the curious who really want to know “what I do” – I run an Industrial Marketing Business, offering marketing opportunities through two specialist industry web sites & presenting industrial seminars.

“When you have the courage to step outside your comfort zone, life will never be the same again!”

I think I definitely did the right thing coming back to bmindful. I am a mother of 3, grandmother of 7, living in Melbourne at the foot of the Dandenongs. I have been using affirmations for a while now and also for a while stopped using them, that got me into a lot of trouble, but I am back on track again. I am Secretary to a large voluntary organisation called University of the Third Age, they are in NSW as well. My love is live theatre and I do volunteer work there during the season, set builds, stage management, props, meeting and greeting patrons, serving sherry. Whatever it is I am usually somewhere. My life is full and interesting, I live alone with my dog and would like to meet someone to share my latter years with, but if it doesn’t happen that’s okay. Looking forward to meeting other bmindful souls and connecting with them through this site.Angel Blessings

Hi Everyone!

Thank you to Lee for creating this space. It’s like a little oasis in my virtual world. I can’t remember where I met Lee, but it was online somewhere, years ago, not here on bmindful. What a wonderful surprise it was for me to find it! Like Lee, I am a freelance web developer, so I can fully appreciate the huge effort and time he’s put into this project.

I live in the Blue Mountains of NSW, it’s absolutely stunning and beautiful up here, I LOVE IT. I just moved into a great old house and we’re doing it up. The chimney got painted purple just because we love purple. The kitchen is Tibetan turquoise blue with beautiful 100 year old blond wooden floorboards.

I have a nearly 7 year old son, whom I homeschool, we concentrate on ballet and violin. Next year I want to start him on algebra and cello. He can read very well already, so proud of him!

I love to potter around in the garden, have just put in some garden beds. Going to put in herbs in one and sunflowers in the other :) I like gardening because it involves a lot of non doing :) You know sitting around and watching!

Life hasn’t always been so good, but I believe that a pendulum must swing both ways before it is bought to rest in the middle. Simple harmonic motion and you cannae change the laws of physics :) Did I mention I used to be a physicist?

Hi Everyone,

Lee, Thank you for these forums! What a terrific addition to an important and fun site.

I’m Jenni. I am married to Bob (I call him Bubba) and we live in Omaha, Nebraska, USA. We each have an adult child and they live in other states. We will be married two years in March and the honeymoon is still going strong. We treat each other with complete respect and put each other first in our life with the exception of God.

I recently came back to this site and I am sorry that I ever left. The positive affirmations keep me well grounded. I have three chronic illnesses and I manage them well when I’m using the affirmations.

We have two felines also. Mooch is our 8 year old tortoise shell and she let’s us live here. Cricket, our 4 month old tuxedo kitten has brought new fun into our home.

One affirmation that increases my success in managing my illnesses is “Fake it til you make it.” When I’m presented with many challenges in a day I tell myself I am feeling well and more often than not it works!

I have found a wealth of information on this site and am so happy to be here.

Jenni

WOW! I’m so glad to see people from all over Australia and from the other side of the world here. Welcome everyone! It’ great to read your stories :)

Hi, my name is Jenn and I stumbled upon this wonderful site. I love it! I am always looking for ways to become motivated and a friend of mine suggested using affirmations. For the past couple of months I have been reading up on them and this website has helped me so much. Sometimes it is hard to come up with an affirmation. I knew what my thoughts put out I would get back from the Universe, but I had to realize that I also needed to work on my subconcious as well.
I just want to get back to my happy productive self and I feel like this is going to help me out a whole lot!
Thanks so much for creating this space!!!

Jenn

Hi! My name is Sally, and I live in Seattle, Washington, in the (rainy) northwest corner of the USA. I’ve been using affirmations for 35 years now, and I’ve found them to be probably the most valuable and logical tool. I think my first introduction to them was via Sondra Ray’s book “I Deserve Love” in about 1973. Since then I’ve read many more books on affirmations (and just about everything else metaphysical). I used to write affirmations, but now I just repeat them mentally, like a mantra, and find it works much better. I also have found EFT to be incredibly valuable (don’t know if anyone is familiar with this) in making personal changes and in tapping in positive affirmations.

I like learning and spirituality and personal growth and politics and building things and traveling (the entire list of interests is too long to write here!). My husband and I take care of our two-year-old grandchild two days a week, and I plan to teach him affirmations and, as well, the value and methods of right thinking so that he can grow up way more empowered than I did. I wish I had been taught the stuff as a child that I’ve spent much of my lifetime researching and learning.

Thanks for a great site, and I look forward to sharing and learning with others.

Thanks for sharing Jennv and Msmerlin! Great reading your stories and what brought you to this place :)

msmerlin, I’d love to here more about EFT? What does it involve and how does it relate to affirmations? Anything that could bring more strength to people’s motivations would be of great interest to many people here I’d expect.

Hi All, My name is Sangeeta and I live in Essex, UK. Thought this would be a great place to start, as I’ve not been here for quite some time. It’s so great to be sharing “space” with positive, like minded people, happy people.

Sally from Seattle, I share your sentiment completely about giving children positive, empowering affirmations. I have 2 daughters (12yrs and nearly 11 yrs) and my husband and I tell them everyday how proud we are of them. We tell them they can achieve anything if they believe it and are willing to work for it.

I find that reading personal development books helps to keep my attitude in check! I feel more optimistic and solution orientated. I’m reading Rhinocerous Success, again! Read it along time ago and I’m thoroughly enjoying it.

Hello everyone,

My name is Sharon and I live in Somerset, England with my husband and daughter who will be 6 in December.

Like Sally, I first found affirmations through a book, although mine was Feel the fear and do it anyway: by Susan Jeffers and I have also read other personal development books, almost all of which have affrimations written somewhere in them.

I love saying affrimations mentally and I have written them down occasionally. I have recently recorded my bmindful affirmations onto my mobile phone and listen to them in the morning.

The reason I came to bmindful is because I “googled” positive affirmations and it was the best site that came up! :)

enjoy life!

wow, GREAT responses so far everyone! Let’s keep it up! If you’re reading this thread and HAVEN’T posted your story, now is the time :)

“How easy it is in our life, to miss what’s being offered.” — Paul Haller

Hi, my name is Linda….I have my affirmations pasted to my mirror in my bedroom…..life can be challenge full and I find it helps to have some positive to start my day with.
I love yoga, hiking in the woods with my dog and spending time with my friends and family…currently, I am homeless, I live with my sister. After getting out of a bad relationship I moved in with her…together we started our own business,…it hasn’t been easy…but, I am happy regardless. We are in the proccess of deciding when we should or if we should close up shop.
I have been dating a kind man for a year who has a 7 yr old son…this is my first experience having a child in my life (other than nieces and nephews)…we are taking things slow.
I love to cook and spend time with friends my dream is to have a small farm house where I can grow my own vegies and herbs, with a nice veranda to sit on…that’s it, that’s all.

Hi everyone! My name is John and I want to thank Lee and the “others” behind the scenes, for putting all this together. What a great idea this was/is! I now have a place where I can come to start and end my day on a positive note.

A little about me: I live in Nassau County, long Island, NY. I’m a network marketer, concentrating mostly on internet marketing. I promote afilliate products as well as my own business/marketing incentive products. I have not been very successful, YET, but I realize this is only thru my lack of taking action and getting out of my comfort zone. I’ve realized many “shortcomings” about myself and yet I still have resistance to changing them. hopefully, with being here and being mindful, I will change this and other “things” about myself, for the better.

I’ve been studying the Law Of Attraction for the past year and have recently ( 4 months ago )started using EFT to help “let go” of things in my life that I didn’t realize had a “subconscience hold” on me. The more I apply these techniques, the better and less stressful I’ve become.

I enjoy cooking, the outdoors when comfortable, small home repair/improvements, cleaning ( ?!!! )well, perhaps not the actual cleaning, but just the RESULTS I see afterwards:), yoga, meditation, relaxing, sleeping (when I’ve the time )making new friends, and many other various spur-of-the-moment things. I enjoy telling jokes and making people laugh. I believe that laughter IS the best medicine..or at least 2nd best.

I watch very little TV and very rarely read the newspapers. I try to keep all that negative stuff out of my mind. It’s unfortunate that my wife cannot see how these things have affected her mind over the years and I, unfortunately, allow her negativity to sometimes enter my mind.

I have used “excuses” long enough and at 52 yrs. young, its time I start to take care of and love myself. This may not be easy, but thru the repitition of affirmations, I know it can be done. The hard put for me so far, has been actually finding affirmations that feel right for me.

I am currently on a disability income due to a neurological disorder, called Tourettes Syndrome. My symptoms are at most times, unnoticeable as I’ve been using natural supplements to control them. I am now using EFT to rid myself of this “mind” disorder. I’ve never had the cursing, punching, or vocal symptoms, just having severe head twitches and heavy sniffing.

I’m happy to be hear as I’ve needed a positive place to spend my time, I get no support from my wife in regards to the LOA or the need to feed the mind with only positive stuff as much as possible. We are always at odds over this. I am learning to keep my mouth shut and just walk away and meditate or leave the house if need be. I know I must be the change that I want to see in others and I’m hoping I will find much value, here, in support of my continuous growth and improvement.

My dreams or goals I regretfully admit, I’ve not written down yet, as I tend to keep them in my head, but I’m sure you know what happens when we try to do it that way. I know the fear is that I may not accomplish them and if they are written down, that will remind me..or give me a feeling of having failed.

My first and most important goal is to change myself and my life to where I am happy, healthy, stress-free and financially secure. I don’t think that’s too much to ask for and I’m willing to whatever I need to, in order to achieve it. Well…ALMOST anything.

Well, I’ve rambled enough and I thank you all for taking the time to listen to my thoughts and I look forward to meeting you, chatting and sharing between us, all the many usefull and positive ways that we can all be of help to each other, and hopefully the masses , with all the wonderful people here. This Is THEEE Place To Start! THANK YOU!

Hi Bmindfulers!

I’m Mary Ann and I live in Paris with my husband and a “chat noir” named Mina. I teach Biz English to French people and I enjoy it very much. I’m so glad I found this site. I’ve used affirmations before but never had as much fun as I am now. I get inspired all the time and I think they help a lot. I started using affirmations after reading books by Catherine Ponder. I like what she says about “divine substance.” The techniques in the Abraham books work well with my affirmations too.

I’m also a Reiki Master, and I like to use affirmations with Reiki treatments and during meditation. I taught a Reiki weekend workshop in Berlin last year and used affirmations which created a very positive environment for the Reiki sessions. My goal is to have my own successful Reiki practice and teach Reiki workshops in Paris and Berlin.

Welcome Linda, John and Mary Ann. It’s great to see people from all walks of life converging on this place. I’m sure we have lots to help each other with :)

Wow, thank you so much for sharing everyone! This thread is fantastic!

great to hear from you Guiselle and martha. It’s nice to see people coming out of the dark and entering this positive space. You will be rewarded! :)

Hi Everyone,

I love to be around vibrant, genuine, loving people nurturing their minds and spirits. I live in the USA—(Florida). I’ve lived in other nice states —though have lived here the longest.

I have been married more than 30 years—and I’m proud to say—I married my absolute best friend and the status remains the same today(: I have a long (productive) college history-. I love the learning- environment and enjoy learning things which assist me personally and professionally! I’m not one to share too many details online…ex. resume, specific career aspirations…though…occasionally all that brought me this day ….simply brings out enthusiasm for my past, present and future, and I start sounding like I’m selling something lol.

My hubby is an active member of bmindful also. While he hasn’t found a need to post, the many wonderful things shared on the site often become part of things we share together. We have been at our current jobs for years (fit in other opportunities along the way too) … dedicated to giving ourselves a wonderful present and a delightful future. Both of us are passionate about wellness (interests/routines). We seem to always find ways to include wellness strategies in our personal/professional lives which bring us much joy in our lives. Staying mindful of progression not perfection are the words of the day(: Wellness has become such a buzzword that “the world” seems to be getting away from the basics nourishing our body, mind& spirit. This site is great and adds to our focusing of the good stuff. Thank you Lee for creating this tremendous site.

This intro was originally written in 2008…and I have updated this post a bit and include here the fact that while Lee is no longer the owner, his vision for the site (which permeates Bmindful) is what keeps me coming back…because bmindful is truly a good thing(: Blessings everyone.

Hi Everyone, My name is Mary, but for the purposes of this site and to “affirm” positively, I have decided to go by Merry. I’m from NYC. I presently live in Las Vegas, NV. My experience here in Las Vegas has been less than satisfying and quite disappoiting. My goal is to get back home to NYC to my family to my career and start my life over again. Thank you Lee for creating this site. I believe that with a concerted effort and like mindedness from all of us, we will be able to help each other achieve our desires.

Laurie, it’s great to read your story and hear about your goals! :)

Welcome, Merry! This site is definitely a place where people can develop focus to achieve their goals. Good to have you on board. :)

Hello All~

My name is Mary and I live in Kansas, USA. I have enjoyed reading everyone’s comments. It has helped me realize that I am not alone. I, too, started my own business four years ago. It was a slow, painful start for which I fretted many hours about if I should “get steady income” or stick to my dreams. I found out about affirmations and my business grew in ways I never would have imagined.

Starting the business took a huge emotional toll on me. I gained nearly 60 pounds in four years. Yikes!! Depression, fear, and uncertainty are very toxic to humankind. I am going back to the basics to try and find the same keys that unlocked my business – to unlock this block of negative energy that manifests itself as excess weight on my body.

I moved away from the San Francisco area to a more modest way of living in the Midwest to pursue a “new life” as a business owner as well as be near my aging father. However, it was hard to find people who shared my mindset here in the Bible Belt of the USA. Although I have lived here since 2001, I have yet to get out and establish a friendship. For some reason, my normal social butterfly self has frozen shut (except when I am running my business). Not only am I here for weight loss, but to find the courage to open myself up to friendship.

I have been married for nearly eleven years. I have five children (two grown from my first marriage, and three little ones in elementary school). We have a dog, two cats, and as of today, a cockatiel. Life is never dull and rarely quiet!! :)

Well, I wasn’t planning on writing this much, but I guess my mind was full. I look forward to reading more posts and using this website in the future.

Cheers!

I am living in many dimensions at once; the appearance of being trapped in time and space is only an illusion.

Hi to everyone :) I often come here to read the intros cos I want to know who everyone is. I’m naturally curious. So even if I don’t post here and say hello every time, I am reading you :*)

I look forward to exchanging ideas and affirmations with everyone on bmindful

Have a Great day Peter

Hi Eveyone, I’m Kev.

I can’t remember where I first saw this site but I remember being impressed with the idea of a place to read and post affirmations. On the back of that, I’ve taken part in some really interesting debates and it’s becoming adictive. They say “like minds attract” so it’s no wonder that the characters I’ve come across are similar, hense my post about Carl Jung.
Strange how some people define success though and what they want from their affirmations. I want my affirmations only to make people think about the way in which people and things are connected. It’s phylosophy that interests me and my idea of true success is simply to understand. I have other needs, hopes and plans and being upbeat and positive is the best way to achieve them but ultimately it’s my need to understand that brings me here and I look forward to talking with you.

Act positively, in the moment, with one eye on tomorrow. Freerace.

Hi, I’m Kari and I live in the US, Oregon to be specific. I have a wonderful hubby, step-son, and son. I am also a recovering addict and really learned about positive affirmations when I got clean (March of 06). I have some posted all over my house and that has been my greatest tool the past couple of weeks after my miscarriage.
SO needless to say I am VERY excited to see this community and can’t wait to get to know everyone!

Oh and I was just google-ing positive affirmations (I do for fun sometimes) and for the first time I saw this site.

Thanks and have a beautiful day!

Great to see you here Kanberry002 :)
I’m sure your positivity will add to our community greatly! thank you :)

I’m Linda and I live in Pennsylvania, USA.

I was married for 23 years when I divorced my first husband. This past year I divorced my SECOND husband due to his drug abuse and subsequent emotional abuse to me. I am back together now with my first husband, the father of my three grown kids, and I’m healing slowly from my recent divorce. I am focusing on peace right now in my life and I am fortunate that my first husband waited for me to come to our life plan of being together forever. I have found much physical peace but my heart is still broken in places from the past few years and I really need to find full heart peace.

This place seems like exactly what I need to do just that!
Thanks.

Hi everyone, my name is Elaine and I am from Canada. Loved reading all the wonderful posts. I came to this site because I wanted to be rid of the negativity in my life. I have a wonderful family and friends. I love nature and want to be a beacon of light in my little part of the world. So what better way than to change from the inside out and positive affirmations seeem like a great start. Hope to get to know everyone and wishing you all much happiness.

Hello to everyone.

My name is Linda (my real name is a bit longer) and I am from Singapore. I chance upon this website while looking for positive affirmations. I have always been into the power of our subconscious mind, the law of attraction and the secret. I believe in the power of positive thinking as it has helped me on a couple of occasions to keep sane and strong whenever I feel down, depress or stressed out. I also enjoy collecting quotes.

I love trying out new things or activities and believe that there are endless opportunities and possibilities out there in the universe for us. I am a pisces and have 2 lovely cats and am born in the year of a rat.

I find reading affirmations and believing in it wholeheartedly does change the way I see things and feel.

Thanks to Lee and Mel… this is truly a wonderful place to hang out each day.

Hi:)

I’m Ruth and I live in the US, in Missouri. I found the positive affirmations website while surfing the net for resources on improving my life.

I have always had a very strong faith in the power of the mind, conscious and unconscious, to create the world around you. I am looking forward to using the site to help build “a better me”.

I’ll have to take the Dr. Evil stance on the details of my childhood and life being “quite inconsequential”. I will own up being a bit of a history geek; to adoring movies, books, a wide range of music, and do indeed love a good reference.

My heroes are (in no particular order): Carl Jung, Charles Dickens, Thomas Jefferson, Cincinnatus, Julian of Norwich, William Wallace, Marie Curie, Everyone who hit Normandy Beach, The Emperor Norton, Count Von Zeppelin, Anne Frank, Jonas Salk; Albert Einstein, Ansel Adams, Edward Burne-Jones, my Mom & Dad, and last, but not least, everyone of my ancestors who were brave enough to get in those tiny boats and sail across dangerous seas to take a chance on a new life.

And, most importantly, I am saved from any arrogant notion of human superiority by four ferrets who daily remind me who actually runs the world.

Hi Everyone,

I’ve so enjoyed reading everyone’s intros… it’s so fabulous interacting with and getting to know kindred spirits and like-minded folks. Thanks for everyone’s contributions!

My name is Kim, and I live in the picturesque mountains of Western North Carolina, US. Writing is part of my life’s blood… whether it be articles, poetry, songs or journaling, it’s a part of every day for me. And if writing is my life’s blood, music is my soul… I’m a singer, song-writer, pianist (okay, not a great one but I try, LOL), and all around music addict. Though I must be nearing a thousand CD’s at this point, believe it or not, I’m very particular about what I own. Thank goodness for downloads, EBay, etc… otherwise I’d be broke! LOL

I’m one of those extremely lucky people who grew up with parents who always told me they loved me and told me I could do and be anything I desired. Wow! And to think, I use to take that for granted! One of my biggest dreams is to find a beloved lifemate… a kindred to share my heart and soul with, make wonderful babies together, and instill those same glorious truths into their little hearts from day one… “you are loved, you are a miracle, you are worthy, and you can be and do anything you desire.” Whew!

I guess the traits I value most in myself are openness, humor, honesty, an eagerness to learn and grow daily, and total tenacity. I struggled with self-hatred for a long time… I fought, and still sometimes fight, perfectionism and the tendency to take myself far too seriously. Affirmations are one tool that has been very beneficial in helping me to work towards overcoming that.

I’m a deeply spiritual (though not religious) person, love history, psychology, all things Celtic, being close to nature and, of course, loving and being loved. I see every day as a miracle, and gratitude and counting my blessings are a big part of my spiritual practice.

Professionally… yep, had to get to it eventually, I’m a spiritual and life coach; I call myself the spiritual fulfillment coach, author, and, for the more metaphysically minded among us, spiritual healing practitioner. I started my business a little over two years ago, and it has been quite a learning experience, I can tell you. Often very difficult and a little scary, truth be told. But since meeting my business partner Kelly back in March, I’ve been noticing some amazing shifts taking place, both internally and externally. We co-host several internet radio programs, which involve plenty of love, insight and spiritual straight-talk to assist folks on their journeys of personal and spiritual growth and enrichment. Kelly and I will also soon be launching our awesome new company site, Empowerment Sanctuary! Amazing times!

Wow, I feel like I’ve talked way too much about myself! I can’t wait to get to know everyone and hopefully make some wonderful friends here! Thanks to Lee and Mel for creating this fantastic resource and community!!! I signed up just about a year ago, and though I’ve been away, I’m back to stay now!

Tons of love, joy and miracles to all of you! Hope everyone is having a beautiful day today, whenever you may be reading this.

Love and Blessings,
Kim

Thanks everyone for posting, I love hearing about everyone’s story!

Keep it up! :)

Gentlepeople,

I am from the sunny Caribbean island of Trinidad & Tobago in the West Indies. I am 35 years old and live with my husband who is from Holland.

As I have been reading everyone’s messages I have become increasingly filled with joy that I found this website on a search for powerful positive affirmations. I have been practicing affirmations for the past year and a half. I am a lawyer and sometimes it seems like I don’t have the time for anything but my job. To some people my profession may sound glamorous but in reality it’s far from that. I worry a lot. I have been trying the affirmations to help me deal with the fear and worry because I just want peace of mind! It has helped but I must admit that I have not practiced it consistently.

My journey actually started when I read The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle and saw Louise Hay’s film on how to heal your life. Since then I am trying to make it become a part of my life. It is a little difficult because sometimes the obstacles seem insurmountable and then you just want to give up…..but I’ll keep going…..especially after meeting you guys who I already feel a connection with.

Thanks so much for sharing a bit of your experiences. Thanks Lee and Mel.

Love to All

Welcome Cherubin!

Many people on this site have also drawn inspiration from that book. I’m sure you will find some common grounds to talk to people here and find support in your hopes and dreams. Great to have you here :)

Eckhart Tolle is amazing!

I love listening to his books as audio too, he narrates them all and his voice is so soothing, he is amazingly, incredibly calm.

Hey there everybody! Well my name is Dave and I’ve been on Bmindful for a long time but have just started actively using affirmations again. Just wanted to introduce myself and hope to get to know you all!

G’day there each and every one of you!

My name is Judiann, but my friends call me “Jude”. I am a very spiritual person and have been a member of bmindful for a couple of years now.

I believe that we are all “ONE” and should treat others as we would like for ourselves to be treated: I believe in equality for all mankind. I believe in being able to actually CREATE something using the power of the Universe. I respect all and love all. I love to meet like-minded people to ‘share’ soul experiences together.

You are more than welcome to check out my affirmation site.

With love, light and protection,

Hello everyone, I have enjoyed reading all of your posts. My name is Jeff Dumas and I live in a very small town in Arkansas, USA and am glad to have found this wonderful site. I believe using affirmations is one of the best tools for improving our lives. Many things come to mind as I sit here and write: Friendship, Music, Laughter, Nature, Journal. All free things for us to use.

I am forty three years old. I had a pretty successful little Italian restaurant for several years, but lost it in a fire about four years ago and have been rather lost ever since. I lowered my insurance after 9/11 because my rates doubled overnight, then I had the fire. Go figure. Anyway, like many of you life has kicked me around a bit. My mother died shortly after the fire and I became clinically depressed. I was in great emotional pain about three years ago and knew I needed help because I felt that my friends and family would be better off if I were dead. I was in the depths of pain and despair and kept going over plans for the best way to kill myself so that no one would find me and there would be no way of turning back. I knew I had to do something so I went to a doctor and got some medicationl. That helped, and I am no longer anywhere near that place anymore, however, I still have become a pretty isolated person. That brings me to why I am here.

I hope to find some friends here. I hope to be a friend to some of you. Hope that wasn’t too long winded for you guys.

Oh, by the way, I am a songwriter too. If anyone wants to hear some of my stuff just do a search for Jeff Dumas and Music, or mp3 and you can find some of my songs. If you like them let me know. Also, I’m on facebook. Hope to hear from some of you.

Hi,

I joined this site as I was looking for affirmations online. I bought a journal for 2009 called The Sacred Journey 2009, and after buying it liked it so much I located the 2008 one late in the year on Amazon.com. It’s intense and New Age and I wasn’t real faithful to it, but plan on being more so this year. It uses affirmations for guidance, hence I was cheating and searching for affirmations online. This site is awesome. I can feel the difference it is making in me and I will continue this growth.

I’m a 50-something wife, mother, & stay-at-home grandmother in NY, USA. My sense of spirituality and compassion is very strong and I am working to grow in spiritual depth, meditation, and contemplation.

What a wonderful site you and Mel have created here Lee. Thanks you. Blessings to all.

Hi Feather Mask,

WELCOME. I know the journal and it’s beautiful. I also think making them is good to read then look back and realised all we did achieve.
Look forward to hearing more from you. I love the spiritual side of life.

Hi, my name is Becky and I am from Massachusetts. I am going to be 27 next month, though most people think I am younger.

I graduated college in 2005 with a B.A. in Psychology. I also minored in art. My passions are photography, drawing and being supportive of others. I also really love animals, I have two cats named Victor and Victoria but have had many other animals in my life through the years.

I currently work with special needs people who are in their late teens to early 20s. Its stressful at times and challenging at others but it’s also been rewarding. I like it but don’t want to stay in it forever.

I am childfree and loving it:)

Most people would say that I am compassionate and honest. I also think I am funny and have a drier sense of humor than I’d like to admit to. I tend to say what’s on my mind but I know when I need to filter my thoughts. I also have a lot of anxiety and self-doubts. Those are things I am trying to change.

I want to be a improve myself as a person. I want to live more comfortably (but who doesn’t?). I want to have less worries, less anxious feelings and more confidence to stand up to those who walk on me.

Well, thanks for reading!

Hello Becky,

Nice to meet a fellow psychology major grad.. And as far as thought filtering and self improvement, you’ve come to a very special site. Affirmations are a tool for life. And as for your field, it is helpful to you and those you assist to be equipped with affirmations. And as your personal focus grows, you pass that on to those teens you’re working with who are forming their beginning opinions of themselves. So glad you’re here(:

Hello my name is Cathie, I am a Lic. Massage Therapist in Ohio for 16 yrs now. I am not new to affirmations have believed in them for a long time now and use them alot. The latest adventure is using them today in losing weight today and exercising. Not only writing and posting them around me but also in picture form for added motivation. Being positive today in a negative world is sometimes so frustrating. I work on alot of elerdy people that do not do well with change so I have these affirmation cards on the table, they red one that they pick an it is nice to see of hear them say wow I never really thought about it that way. so hope to be making new friends and sharing insight. Thanks Cathie

In response to cathie’s post:
Hi cathie, how rewarding assisting older adult population and promoting positive change. We are all aging, and change can be more difficult the more we find things we grow comfortable or uncomfortable in. What an absolutely cool thing you are doing with the affirmation cards! Hopefully others in that area will follow your lead. Hmmm, ever thought about promoting it further in the aging community?

Hi I’m Viv and live in Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia with my husband & 2 primary school age kids. I love to read something positive and have taken to reading Bmindful when on my lunchbreak at work. I used to always read news.com and everything is so horrible and depressing. I would get sad at all the things, well I don’t need to give details you know what I’m talking about. Without burying my head to the problems of the world – I’d rather read something positive, and try to act positive because I believe this must brush off on others. The affirmations work, it just takes commitment to use them. I did a Total Focus workshop a little while back which was great but of course it takes determination to use the tools to change. And we all get a little lazy, well I’m speaking for myself now! I like reading novels written by Paulo Coehlo, he has some nice and interesting things to say. I recently read A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle which is a good reminder of how to be. But mostly I’m reading textbooks :( as I’m studying part-time at uni and working.

Hi All, My name is Bonnie. I am a Canadian who lives in Scotland. I won’t go into my history but I have been in CBT for almost a year working on Generalised Anxiety Disorder and low self-esteem. I’m happy to say that I’m so much better now and that we have moved on to the positive psychology side of things. Affirmations are such a good way of reminding me that I’m okay just the way I am and that I have value as a human being regardless of what I do. Rather than working on changing myself I’m working on accepting myself!

I’m new to this site and forum but I like to see other people’s affirmations and some of the lovely postings on here. I’ve been focussing on the negative for so long it’s like spring has arrived early for me being able to see all the nice things going on in the world.

Hi,

My name is Ynze and I live in The Hague, Netherlands.
I’ve been software engineering for a big part of my life and I just switched from a small-sized company to a big corporate one.
My ultimate goal is to start something for myself. Although i am not quite sure what I’d be doing then.

I love to create music, read a lot and watch movies and series with my girlfriend.

My biggest pitfall would be to think to much and not transforming those thoughts into actions. Which is what I’ll be doing the upcoming time :)

If only I could create the great things I can achieve in my mind in the real world ;)

Hoping to meet new friends here. Thanks Lee and mel for setting up and running this great community :).

OK, I haven’t yet read them all (there are a lot to read). I will.
I am Bruce. I found Lee’s site a few months ago as I was surfing trying to find meaningful affirmations. I have found the content to be extremely uplifting. I believe that I was lead to the site because I was ready for it. Finding other’s whose ‘ah ha’ moments were similar to my own provides meaningful connections in this global meeting room. I wish there were faces to go along with each name, I’m a visual.

I know I am a “toucher”, have known that all my life but never put it into context. Unfortunately, in our society touching isn’t always allowed, nor appreciated. I’m here to change that. It took me over half a century to discover that there is an appropriate outlet for my passion, and even a nudge from ‘angles’ to make the connection. (OK here goes, defining myself by my vocation) I left my former job of 34 years to become a Massage Therapist. (Hands For Health, LLC)

As time goes on I have discovered Healing Touch. It is a modality whereby you learn to channel energy from the Source (Source is individually defined by your personal belief system) to assist people in overcoming physical, mental, emotional and or spiritual ‘issues’. I don’t try to change them nor heal them, I’m just providing energy to their being that will be for their higher good. If you want to contact me offline, please do. I love chatting about my passion.

All the best to all here, ‘may the force be with you’. :-)

Blessings,
Bruce-

Hi, I’m Smile’s; The name because I needed a lot of smiles one day and I have used it ever since. When I was in my teens I was a very positive person. The experiences of life have really given me some challenges. After having a wonderful close loving relationship with my eternal husband and then 18 years of him being disabled and about 10 of those years where he could not even be touched my life really became discouraging. I am trying so hard to become positive and up beat again. I teach first grade, and art to all the elementary 1st through 5th. I live in a very rural area of Nevada and having friends that are uplifting is a struggle to find if you are not involved in the high school sports. My son is 18 and due to a lifetime of health issuse will be working on his college degrees from home. As a family we are all trying to work with positive affirmations. I found this site and liked the list of affirmations so joined. I will have to learn my way around it. Just joined last night. I turn 43 in 2 days. I have been married 23 years and looking forward to having my life changed so that the next years of my life are as good as the first 4 were in our marriage. I strive to be the joy in everyones life. I feel the need to talk to someone as a friend that understands without it going around the whole town.

In response to smiles’s post:
Smiles, so happy to meet you. You have come to wonderful place. You sound like a loving creative person! So glad you’re here!!!Just remember, if you want change, just “turn the corner” and declare life has changed. Any time, you do anything wonderful and new, the good is ALREADY in process.

Hello everyone.

Skyz here.

Where to start, well I am a single mother of 2 boys aged 9 & 11. I live in Ontario, Canada.
I work in health care. Its a teadious, sometime stinky job, but it is very rewarding. I came across this site while looking for something to help me with inner strength! Feeling rather weakend these days. I believe it has alot to do with a certain relationship that I am currently involved in. I have been working on this and affirming it and well its not happening, and I am hurting. So I am hoping that I will find my something here that will help me focus on strength, or atleast get past the hurt. Sorry for the babble. Look fwd to speaking with you all sometime soon.

Skyz

Hello every one, I am Charles Rose, living in the USA, Michigan. I am a strong believer in the power of the mind. After the wife had three children and eleven years we divorced and I had the kids. I wandered from job to job then I discovered mind possibly and started to change my life. Got married again to a great woman named Mary Jean and started a new business (Upholstery) and raised the kids, built a new home and now retired I thought but started a newer business on the internet. I in effect changed my attitudes and how to use them, all to my betterment. I really believe in affirmations as they have helped me a lot. Now I am looking forward to improving myself even farther.

Welcome Skyz and listener2. If you seek you shall find, and here is a good place to start :)

Hello all,

I’m Cristina, a graduate student in Philadelphia, Pa, USA. My uncle is also a member, “thisisbruce” and I discovered this site through him. I am studying to be a marriage and family therapist and I find these affirmations to be wonderful tools for families and couples to use when they need to work together to achieve a goal.

personally, i feel as a twentysomething in this day and age, I need to frequently put things into perspective and affirmations help me do that. Happy little reminders that the “sky” isn’t falling and that I’ve got the rest of my life to continue to work on me. it’s truly what life’s about, making yourself into a whole and better person!

enjoy reading other’s posts, keep it up :)

Bravo Cris, Love ya!

It’s great to see people sharing this site with their loved ones and family. Good to see you Cris!

Hi all, my name is Afi and currently live in Switzerland in one of the most beautiful places in the world, right at lake Geneva.

I found bmindful while surfing looking for positive affirmations to replace the nonsense negative thoughts with, which very often block me in my personal life. Bmindful has been very inspiring, thank you to all.

I love travelling and living in new places. That is why I became a software consultant, travelling to where the projects are, meeting new interesting people from all over the world.
I enjoy my life being independent, travelling, living in new places, meeting new people and do just what I do, feeling mid 30.
There is a part of me though who would like to settle down and do something more meaningful(!) and keeps reminding me that I am actually 47.
Just don´t exactly know what and where…..which brings me to the affirmation ‘I know exactly what I want’.

…what a wonderful world….

Hi,

I’m Karin (queserasera) from Denmark.

I was looking for affirmations this morning, when I stumbled on this forum. It seemed such a good idea, that I signed up immediately.

I am currently trying to find ways to lift a depression or the remains of it and to regain my ability to focus, concentrate and reactivate my motivation. They have all gone into hiding or are hibernating, I think. Anyway, I want them back and using daily affirmations seem an obvious tecnique to try out. All I need now is to learn how to make them, use them and remenber to repeat them often.

I’m so glad, you’re here and look forward to getting to know you all better.

Thanks,

Karin

Hi

I’m KP and I’m from Arizona, US

I am going through a very rough time im my life. My wife has decided to leave our marriage of 14 years. Although I told her that all I want is to keep this relationship. She no longer wants to continue.

I am new to this site and looking for positive vibes from anyone that can help me through such a hard time. I’m going to move on with my life and I want to feel positive that everything is going to be ok. The every day focus will be on improving my life and continuing to love my Son(whom is 5 years old) and show him that he is the most important person in my life.

I’m glad that I have found a place where people are sharing there stories and feelings. I need all the support I can get to help me rise above my insecurities and everything I that still have to go through.

thanks,

KP

In response to KP’s post:

Dear KP,

First of all, my condolences on your sadness. Change is always hard – and especially change that is not welcome. You still have plenty to be grateful in life, although it may be clouded at present. You have a darling little boy and five years old is such a wonderful age because they are innocent and charming and look up to you as if you were a superhero!!

You will find many loving, accepting people here on bmindful that are more than happy to cheer you up, help you out, or just be wonderful guidance by reading their stories. I welcome you and believe that you have found this site – not by chance – but on purpose. When the student is ready, the teacher(s) will appear.

I just got back from a trip from Arizona. Not sure where you are living, but this is the most beautiful time of year there. It is perfect to commune with nature and ground yourself when things get really stressful. I love to take long hikes on the desolate trails of saguaro cactus and rocks and just get lost in my thoughts.

During times of crisis it is easy to fall into victim mode (pity parties) and start a lot of damaging self talk. As you are starting affirmations, try at least to cancel all of those negative statements with one or two positive ones. When I do my affirmations, I try to pick one and say it at least 400 times a day. (Believe me, I can talk a lot of crap to myself, so 400 times probably isn’t even close to a 1 to 1 ratio of good/bad).

Take these days one at a time. Celebrate your small joys and accomplishments. You can get through this. One more thing, one of my favorite quotes is “This Too Shall Pass”. I use it when things are going bad and I need uplifting – and I use it when things are going really well and I find myself getting a little cocky. Maybe this saying will help you too!

Again, welcome to bmindful!

I am living in many dimensions at once; the appearance of being trapped in time and space is only an illusion.

Hi,
Just noticed that I haven’t introduced myself yet : )

My name is Ilana, and I cannot thank Lee enough for creating this site!

I post my affirmations as I feel inspired, and it feels so good to see them listed and available to everyone in this community. I appreciate the feeback and friends I’ve made so far, and I intend to participate and connect more in the coming year.

I’m building a website http://metaphysics-for-life.com

It’s under construction so not everything is in its proper place just yet. But there’s a lot of good stuff to read, so check it out if you’re interested. (BTW Lee – I’ll be linking bmindful to my site when it’s ready)

I also have some blogs. The links are on my profile if you want to stop by and say “Hi”

Hi Lee and Mel,

Excellent Site. I am happy to find all the Positive Affirmations. I was “spiritualised” since my early young age. I have tried many things to understand/learn that “ONE THING” which every other thing is moving towards.

Finally I am coming into grips with what it is , but intellectually thou. Long way to go get that in “Experiantially”.

I have read many books/articles about Mindfullness. But When I attended my first Vipassana Meditation 10 days course in 2000 (www.dhamma.org), I started practicing mindfullness instead of just reading about it.

Recently I read Jill Taylors “My Stroke of Insight”, which gives an insight to human brain or Mind Vs Heart as we say it sometimes.

Just found this site today, and I knew I had to sign-up and say Hi to you all.

May all Beings Be Happy!!!

Hi! I’m Kris, and have been a member for quite a while now; I just haven’t taken the time to say hello here. I live in Saint Louis MO (USA) where I am a full-time student.

Welcome Rajan and Kris! I hope you find what you seek :) Peaceful blessings to you.

Hi, everyone! I’m Julie, i’m 24 and living in eastern Canada. Eventually i would like to move to a sunnier, more cheerful place in Northern Florida. I’m here to learn better confidence and how to become more independant. My dream is to become a wedding decorator and travel to be of support to those opressed. All the best- Jules

All I know is I’ll not go even one step back to make myself happy and make people around me happy! I have learnt to enjoy everyday as God’s gift, a beautiful jouyful day…

Cute N smiling,

I have enjoyed reading everyone’s introductions. A couple of you have mentioned books that have helped you or motivated you to a new way of thinking, to a new position in life. One such book was “Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway.” Thank you so much for recommending this book. I got it from the library and it has opened my eyes so much to how victorious I can be!!! It reiterates believing in oneself! (My next read will be “Stroke of Insight”. — thanks, Rajan!)

The introductions on this forum warm me. I love every single one of you. We truly are all sisters and brothers—-with the same goal: To lead a fulfilled, satisfying life. I’m thankful for this website and for the support we all offer one another!

In response to Toni’s post:
Welcome to the site. It is progressively a better and better, and better experience (smiles)

I came to this site to become more positive in my thinking. I am in a negative thinking mind and have been for some time and now is the time to change.
I know this site is for me and like the name I chose for myself I beleive that I need to trust that I can become more positive.
Beleive in myself that trust is true and a positive mind is possible.
Thankyou

Hello fellow travelers round the spiritual wheel!

Allow me to introduce myself: I am Deerwoman and I am pleased to share thoughts and positive energy with you. I have been doing spiritual work for about 25 years, and began with A Course In Miracles. Recently, it has become apparent I need to actively pursue the path of Abundance. Everything in my life has been directing me towards it. I am grateful to have found a site that can assist by supplying me with a flow of affirmations and ideas that will help keep me focused.

I live in Western New York State not far from Niagara Falls, in a small house nearly lost in trees. Birds, squirrels, deer, rabbits, and (I suspect) a few coyotes share my blessed space. I am a writer and a lover of many kinds of music. I seek to actively find joy in my life, and then keep my awareness centered upon it.

Let us banish negativity! Hooray!

WELCOME DEERWOMAN!!!!! So glad to have you with of us!

Well where to begin? I am going to attempt to divulge and what I leave unanswered I suppose you will ask  so here goes.

My name is Heather, however for the most part you will see me signing off as Mai. I am a mother of two beautiful boys and a gorgeous step daughter, I really hate the word step and you will not see it again as I truly consider her my daughter. My husband and I have been married for just over two years, but have been together much longer. Prior to our relationships beginning I had know much tragedy in my short 24 years, with the loss of my Mother when was just 42 and my sons father passed as well, I was so fortunate to find a wonderful man that helped me to recover.

I was overweight by around 30 pounds prior to our engagement and wanted to make a change for myself and my family before the wedding. That is when I started with my plan. I researched nutrition, cooking, exercise, and set out to change who I was. I eventually lost that 30 pounds, became a fitness and nutrition guru and strive to learn more about health and fitness everyday. I am not superhuman and find that at times I am much to hard on myself when I “slip-up” on my diet and that is how I found myself here at bmindful.com.

Since the transformation I have made for myself and my family, my life is much different and so much happier, I also quit smoking and in November of 2009 I will be smoke free two years. All of the healthy steps I have taken to improve our lives have been exciting and fun and I know that I will continue to grow as long as I keep my mind opened, my heart soft, and let my communication flow.

mai

Well, now Heather, when I say so happy to meet you, I can feel as though I really have met you(:. Thank you so much for sharing your story. You have entered into a very caring place, with lots of informed and loving people. We all learn so much from one another; it’s amazing! And we’ve already learned a lot from you. You write beautifully! You are a very caring and loving person, and hope to see a lot more of you on the threads!!

Keep treating yourself special, because you are(:

Hi my name is Mary (godscreation) I live in California and have lived here all my life. 8 years ago I suffered a ruptured brain Anuerysm and have had some very odd psychic experiences, actually even before the rupture. I am considered a miracle because most people die from a ruptured aneuyrsm. My love is singing especially at karaoke clubs! If you check out my profile you will see all the things I love. This is a great website and am looking forward to learning alot about affirmations and how your lives have changed. In 1974 I graduated from the Silva Mind Control Method. The teacher taught us how to use our minds to make our lives better. We learned how to listen to the “gut feelings” that so many times we ignore and we also learned that if we really desired something we had to use affirmations and learn to meditate and ask our subconcious minds what it was we needed. Blessings to all of you.

Peace,

Hello Everyone! I am a new Mom-(he’s 19 months!) a wife to a great husband and working hard on making more money doing my dream instead of working for the “man”. Interesting that I find myself doing this on Monday as I am struggling to get ready for work and be happy to go.
I love how much I am learning from all of you! Such great ideas and wonderful affirmations and I appreciate you all.
Much love and happiness to us all!
:-)

I am making the year 2011 the year of Spectacular! I hope it is for you, too!
Blessings, peace, love and musical harmony in your life. :-)

Hi mindfulists,

I joined a few months ago.

I am a 49 yr old married father of 3 boys. We live in suburbs near Atlanta, GA. I took a few year off after the tech boom. Now I’m starting a 2nd career as a financial planner. In my spare time I’m a fitness nut, a baseball coach, and a bad musician who loves to play anyway.

That’s about it. I’m here to read and learn. I’ll see you around and maybe comment if I feel the need.

Hi all. What a wonderful site.. Glad I discovered this.

I am currently living in Houston, TX. Have lived in 6 countries before coming here -including Australia. All the moves were related to work. I am married with 2 daughters – and they all love traveling and moving around.

I am terrible at writing and sharing my thoughts. Hope to learn a lot from all of you here.

My first affirmations: I love to share my thoughts. I am a better person when I share my thoughts.

In response to SunnyKash’s post:

Welcome SunnyKash!(smiles)!
Wow! 6 countries, the experiences you probably have had! Looking forward to getting to know you better.

Your affirmations seem to be quite powerful, because you’ve already begun writing and sharing your thoughts right here(:

Best of everything today and always(:
See on the threads!

Life Less Ordinary

My name is Brian, I live in Minnesota, or the “Tundra” as my friend from Memphis would say. It hasn’t felt tundra-like lately with temps in the 90s F (32 plus Celsius.)
I moved here from Indianapolis in several years ago to find the summers shorter, the winters harsher and the misquotes large enough to be mistaken for small birds.

Before moving here, for a career opportunity, I’d visited and found it really beautiful. I really liked the extensive parks and recreation system – the thousands of lakes, numerous bike trails, etc. Also because it seemed to be a pretty clean place with people that were, well, “Minnesota Nice”!

A couple of years after moving here, I met Becky, and have been madly in love with her since. We are still living the honeymoon, several years later. We enjoy spending time together, and with our daughter. We love riding our tandem bike, taking walks through the neighborhood, traveling, and thanking God for all that we have been blessed with!

We’ve always got “projects” in the works, especially around the house. We enjoy real estate, home improvement, travel and are always looking for the next big thing – a new career, one that involves us both working together and independent – working for ourselves and not some corporation.

The career that brought me here, pretty much collapsed after I gave it 17 years, and to be honest, I’ve been a bit lost since (about 4 years). There’s no doubt that we will find our nitch – we want to do something together and be independent, but just haven’t figured that out yet. For now, I’m working in construction and must focus on paying the bills of every day life.

Our daughter, Ronnie, is the center of our world and she knows it. Enjoy your kids while they’re young because it’s amazing how fast they grow up! Ronnie is growing up fast, has been driving for over a year and will be a senior in the fall. She recently started her first job and is constantly on the run.

While she acts like we embarrass her with our doting love and affection, she’s never so embarrassed to keep her friends away. We love that she usually prefers to have her friends hang out with her here at home, as opposed to being out and about where we can only text or call her on the cell phone. We certainly do not have the “cool house.” Many of her friends are financially “well-to-do” and we really are not. Our home is in a constant state of “improvement” with more projects in the works than I’d care to admit.
We always say that it’s better to be the “cool parents” than to have the “cool house.”

I’m sure that I will edit this/ update it later, but for now I must sign off – you know, get back to one of the numerous projects that needs attending to. There’s never a dull moment around here!

Welcome to the site Briankw! I hope you will (and your wife too) will take advantage of bmindful. There are a lot of great affirmations and threads here as well as lots of people who will encourage you and help you. I understand the “lost” feeling myself and can assure you that bmindful has been a big help in helping me find myself again.

Hello! I’m Kat. Presently I’m working on blaming less and taking responsibility (with joy) for more – taking my life in my own hands, so to speak. I have found that one of the best ways for me to stay focused and optimistic is to really put my efforts into positive affirmations (thank you, Louise Hay!). While surfing the net, I stumbled across this site, so here I am! Looking forward to getting to know you as I familiarize myself with the website some more – thank you for nurturing such a great online community!

Hello. I’m from Wheelers Hill, Victoria, Australia.

A first-time father with my son born March 2007. Having a son has altered my view of who I am from an internal selfish focus to “Who am I being for my son?”
My child has centred my inspiration, love, focus, accepting myself and being vulnerable.
Thank you Liam for shifting my life’s direction. I appreciate you and I love you!

Gratitude is what gives me power everyday in life. I appreciate all that contributed to my growth so that I am of contribution to others.
Please note that I have sometimes missed contributions to my growth because they were considered too insignificant at the time, too painful to notice/accept, I did not create a lesson that left me empowered, or I got stuck on remaining righteous.

I may continue to miss contributions to my growth, yet I assert the following:

  • All contributions to my growth are not pushed onto me… they are permitted by me. It is my acceptance that creates contribution.
  • As such, it is my power that gives me growth through contribution.
  • Life/people/circumstance/events will continue to contribute to your growth… How powerful you are in accepting contribution is what makes you grow.
  • I am my own contribution! Learning to love myself has allowed so much more to flow positively towards me.

‘Your life is what you make of it’ is a saying I’ve heard many times. Only recently has it become an obvious truth for me! I intend to live my life with gratitude and to show gratitude whenever possible.

Thank you for allowing us to introduce ourselves to the community Lee.
This is an amazing place!

A big hello and hug to all of you out there. My screen name is Sonia and I have been around on this site for a couple of months now.
I am truly grateful to Lee and his team for putting together this site which is making such a difference to so many like me. Thanks Lee and God bless you.
I am a recent convert to spirituality ( 4-5 yrs) and wake up feeling dazed by my experiences and insights almost everyday. It is a wonderful world and I am very happy and proud to be here.
I am determined to live a life better than the one destined for me. I am going to change my karma and make my place under this Sun. I have no doubt that success in my practice of Pranic Healing will lead to satisfaction of hunger for doing good, success in achieving oneness with my spiritual chord will take me to nothingness and success in the stock market will get me all the money I need to run my family life and help others.
I have been married to the most wonderful man for 17+ years and everyday pray that I get him as my partner in all my life times. He is amazing and too evolved!
Our boys are aged 16 & 13+. They have taught me so much patience and mindfulness. God bless them and make them very good citizens and concious human beings.
Our circle of friends is awesome and full of life.
I am loving life and living it every minute-whether my experience teaches me something new or repeats the lessons already learnt.
Love you all. May God bless all of you.
Sonia

Hello, I am Neelima. I am an Indian residing in USA near a suburb of Chicago. I am spell bound after visiting this site. After reading those positive affirmations, mind starts thinking that anything is possible in life. I am familiar with some positive affirmations. I have done some courses in India based on Louise Hay book “You can heal your life”.

I get lot of negative thoughts. So immediately I start telling positive affirmations. My husband and daughter keep wondering what I am murmuring. I do not tell them. Suddenly I get negative thoughts about the loved once and I start murmuring positive affirmations, asking negative thoughts to please go. Can we do positive affirmations for those who are sick. Can we make positive affirmations for their good health and early recovery? If yes, what do we say. Can we take a persons name and say it? Please help.

Thansk to all of you and specially Lee N Mel

God bless All

If you believe words are powerful as a prayer, affirmations as such for others (in my opinion) definitely work. And I thank you for bringing it up-> because prayer gets my vote 100%.

Though w/regard to affirmations on others…hmmm. There is a thread on this site I believe is relevant

Milliions of thanks for your reply. It was my first mail to you. And I was frantically looking for your reply. I am not very good with computers and it took long to find your reply. (because I do not know how to go there)

Right now I am making positive affirmations on my brother who has been admitted in the hospital in India in serious condition. Now he is alright but need lot of improvement both mentally and physically. Life has been pathetic for him for which I blame all family members. I am guilty too. I am his younger sister. He also needs financial help. Can you please also make positive affirmations for his health improvement. Can you help me with some affirmations? Please.I will be grateful. You are doing such a wonderful job. God Bless You.

I will definitely include your brother in my prayers.

Hi…..

Lady D (Diana) here.

For those who haven’t met me, you can check out what little I wrote on my profile page.

There’s not much to tell really….a bit shy….don’t want to be a bother…..more of an observer than anything which is weird cause I’ve been told that I’m overly friendly and that I talk too much. Maybe once I get used to everyone I’ll talk a little more.

Anyway, I’m here to better myself….find a way out of my ‘box’. Already getting help and good advice from some really nice people. Thanks to all of you! And to those I haven’t met yet.

I’ve been to other sites that have said “we can help!” but, there was always a catch…..you had to buy some product that would do the trick. Tried a few, didn’t quite work. Bad influences from the outside keep creeping in. A few still breaking my door down and climbing thru the bedroom window.

But now all that’s going to stop. I’m starting on a journey to change what’s bad in and around me to the good that the universe has in store for me, to create good and lasting habits, a lot of good and beneficial changes.

With help from everyone here at bmindful and persistence on my part, I think it’s going to work.

Thanks!

I’m Cecilia AKA urbansoapchick. I am riding on the spiritual express train with no destination, just exploring life wherever it takes me, making lovely handcrafted soap and taking photos along the way. :-)

I first had my spiritual awakening back in 2006 and I remember how blissful that felt. I had wonderful insights popping up all over. But then along the way, I had some interesting challenges that made me fall off my spiritual train and I started to feel empty and lost.

But I found it again a few weeks ago after an intensive spiritual retreat in Sedona. Through sessions with healers and breathwork I was able to ground myself again and to find my strength & internal light. I am now living every day as a spiritual practitioner. I have been in the corporate world for 10 years now and every day I find myself leaning towards a passionate life path for me-I am in the process of entering the holistic arts. It aligns perfectly with my heart. So I’m excited to be on my train headed where ever.

Anyone else along for the ride? :-) I’m so grateful I found an inspiring group of people here. Can’t wait to meet more like minded friends!

Many blessings, Cecilia (urbansoapchick)

Welcome (again) Cecilia!! Ohhhh. I am so jealous. :) I would have LOVED to have been at a spiritual retreat in Sedona. It is sooooo beautiful – especially this time of the year. Thank you for the lovely idea to put that goal back on my list. It had dropped off with the passing of daily life.

It is good to hear that you are leaving the corporate world to follow your passion. It took me seventeen years and I kick myself for waiting so long to work through my imagined fears!!

Again, I’m happy our paths have crossed!!

I am living in many dimensions at once; the appearance of being trapped in time and space is only an illusion.

Hello :) lovelies,

I’m Raylene, a Libra, I like short to medium walks on the beach, making jewelry, animals, movies, and reading. I am a Canadian gal living in BC in a small town in the Interior. I love the feel of this small town and being that I grew up here, people know my name and greet me on the street. Yay!

I am so happy that I sumbled upon this site- thank you Lee! I am in a place where I need to start being selfish. By selfish, I mean really start to focus on healing and self-care. I think this is a manageable goal as I really only have myself to take care of.

I appreciate you all being here, I love reading your affirmations. I am starting to feel more like myself, already :D!

…What makes you different, makes you beautiful…

Welcom Raylene it’s nice to have you with us and how nice it is to have people so close to each other in a small town. I live in CA and we are packed in like sardines!

Recently I have fallen in love with the program “Emily of New Moon” it is something to look forward to. Don’t know if you know about it but it was filmed on Prince Edwards Island. It has a little bit of everything in it. The story is about a family in the late 1800’s.

I’m not that new to the use of affirmations – I took part in a Pacific Institute Course a few years ago! I’ve just got out of practice with using the affirmations, but I’m getting back on track again thanks to Bmindful.

Just wanted to say that this site is amazing for helping me to switch off from things (such as work). I went through a rough patch a couple of months ago (anxiety and depression), and I’m so glad I got through it and I’m now a much stronger and more positive person. I was only off sick for 1 month, but I know that I am never and will never go down that road again. It’s not worth it!!! Positivity is the way forward for me and I won’t be dwelling on any negative thoughts!

One affirmation that has helped me over the last month or so is to tell myself that I’m happy and to tell others that – it really does work, and I’m so glad that it worked as it helped me to face going back to work after a month off.

Anyway, I will continue to use this site as the forums are great and the affirmations are so helpful!!! :)

Keep up the good work Bmindful members!! :)

Hi I am from India and 29 years old.I virtually stumbled into bmidful.com, and I am glad that I did :).
I have always been different, from the rest of the chaps, and I guess that’s one of the reason, that got me somehow interested in understanding human behaviour, then into law of attraction, and then finally into spirituality.

Reading the book the power of now completely changed my life. I started being more aware and mindful ;), and probably that’s the reason, I just had to be part of bmindful community.
Being mindful, is now a way of life with me, and I thank God for giving me this wonderful opportunity in this life.

Love you all

My name is Natasha, I live in Newcastle. love affirmations as they love me. love being positive it works, shows how l feel on the inside to the outer.I love smiling that one can make another persons day better.I found this site bmindful as l am currently looking to restart my gardening job that l had in 2003 and was looking for some more affirmations to help get me started and found some, once l did l got onto word and made some fliers to print out and post in letterboxes and hang on noticeboards.

It is amazing when the mind is open to getting somewhere in life you can and makes life alot easier not only for me but for the people around me.

the affirmation that helped get me started with wanting to do some work again is:

Everyday, I wake up and go to the best job in the world

Why do something l wont enjoy. I love gardening and helping others with my talents.

Hi, everyone. Welcome all. I am Philip. I live in Kano state,in Nigeria, West Africa. I am a Mechanical Engineer. I work with a construction company. I am eagerly looking forward to starting up and running my own business very soon. I feel I have so much potentials that when expressed in some business venture will be more beneficial to me and to God’s other children.
Thus my present focus is generating the capital to finance this dream. This effort has been on for three years now. I have had my difficult times and moments of victory as well. Yet dream is still in the making.
The beautiful thing of the moment for me now is that am about to get married to a great and wonderful woman of rare gem. It is an exciting experience to think about. This part of my victory.
It is getting better and better day by day.

GOD IS GOOD ALONE

Hello everyone. Am not done yet. I want to let you know what I have gained in this community. It is how to do affirmation. I gained the ability to embrace new and joyful possibilities regardless of contrary evidence to the physical senses. Affirmations are a simple tool we can use to feel better about ourselves. By repeating aloud or silently the positive things we want for our lives, we train our minds to move past other people’s views and our own internal scripts to embrace new and joyful possibilities. According to Charlene Proctor, Ph.D., affirmations help “arrest the impulse to self-doubt and give you more energy to focus your attention on a life filled with prosperity, love, good health, and happiness.”
Affirmation has brought me joy and some level of fulfillment. Thanks to bmindful community. In this community I got the right idea about how to affirmation. what a blessing that has been to me and to those around me.
let me say this. I am still learning. And like I said before day by day it is getting better and better. God loves you all and so do I.

GOD IS GOOD ALONE

Hello everyone, i joined this site last year i believe and have been on and off, im a quiet solitary person. I live in Alberta Canada. I am happy to have found this site and enjoy it immensely! Ive had a few books on affirmations but find this site much easier to use.

I’ve been struggling with health issues for sometime now, and am working hard to ease them or turn them around. I am a Reiki Master/teacher, along with several other healing modalities, but find i help others much easier than myself. My goals along with helping heal myself is also to help open myself up more to others.

I had my own business but had to close it down in 2008, it was very heart wrenching as it was my passion in life but due to lack of finances and poor health i had no choice. I am hoping one day to reopen it. So i am also wanting to work on finances and prosperity.

Its wonderful to be in a place of like mind.

Blessings, light and peace

Hi my Name is Allan, i’m from Brisbane. I am 44 yeras of age, I have a beautiful fianc’e that i am getting married to very soon. I also have to beautiful children that i love very much. I am a self employed small business owner (mobile mechanic).I am a loving caring person and love to help others and love to see people succeed in their lives. My goals in life are to be positive, succeed in all areas, to be healthy, wealthy, happy, affluent, abundant. To live my life to the fullest and have the time to spend with my family and friends to be able to also share it with them. I practice The Law of Attraction on a daily basis and i find this helps me to be able stay positive and succeed. I have come from a family background were my parents never had much money due to the fact that my father was an alcoholic and still is today sadly at the age of 75. I consider myself to be very lucky, as i am the only member of my family that has succeeded in life. Not using a bad child hood as an excuse ! I have been around Europe and parts of Asia, also having lived in Canada for 2 years. I have previously owned another business and had 4 investment properties and shares. All this has been made possible simply by the power of positive thought and a passion to never give up and always move forward. My motto is you’ve only got one life so Go For It ! I’m sure it will be a pleasure to be part of this community and to possibly help others to succeed as well. Thanks !!

Hi all… you all sound so interesting….

I am here cuz I truely believe in the law of attraction and affirmations and I need to change my life long negative thinking (victim)into positive thinking (deserving all that is good)…. the change is slowly happening since I started doing them about a year ago…. I am bipolar and cycle into depression often… that causes me to accept my life as being no better than the circumstances at hand and then I slip back into old patterns of thinking and give up on my affirmations…. I haven’t found any real continous support in my part of the USA (SC)so I was happy, happy, happy when I found this site…. now, when I need help I know where to go no matter what the time of day…. thank you… not only do I need encouragement but I also want to be able to encourge others as well… so I will post as often as I can….

I am not sure how I discovered positive affirmations but I have a notebook full of them, many repeated in different ways…… and when posting them here I saw how I could put two or three together to make one more meaningful statement….

thank you to everyone for the warm welcome….

Kathy from SC USA

NICE! I don’t like to talk about myself much but because you asked lol here it goes:
Heyah, I’m Charnelle & I reside in California. I’m here because I’m pretty much a negative person & I need to be more positive :[ I also like this site because it helps me to escape my daily reality & mind. There is not much I want out of life, except to be at peace with who I am, tranquility, a stronger relationship with God, a good role model for my younger siblings & happiness. My goals, go to college so I can get a job & live on my own in another country, in a place of tranquility of course. & to travel a lot!!

Hi Charnelle… welcome… I find this site helps me overcome my negative tendencies as well…. read and reread your positive affirmations and they will become part of you…. good luck…

I am a firm beliver that you are what you think and our thougts are the blue prints of our
daily lives- “ what you think determines what you will be and not whom you
Will be , you can change what you will be by simply changing how you think and not necessary changing who you are, you are perfect the way you are just change your thought!

I having being practising positive affirmations subconciously -this what i call daydreaming or wishing. Now i want to do fully.

Welcome Kiah,

I too believe it was no accident you found bmindful(: If you need any assistance navigating around, hope you ask, because this site offers more than the eye can see(: Even when the site had less features it still seemed to provide a wonderful enlightening outlet. And..it just keeps getting better better better.

You see, like affirmations..that point us in positive places..we have a place here that draws a certain type of individual, that believe (on all different levels from a variety of directions) that we can have, be, get what we think about..and understand footwork is key.

So glad to have you and your experience with us.

Hi All, I just joined this site, and stumbled across it trying to find affirmations to glue onto my vision board. I am a student mama, so mine are mostly about getting good grades, being a good person, and money of course :) My vision board has been very successful with me, and when I made a list of all my goals at the first of the year I got them all (almost), even though some of them seamed totally unrealistic. For example, I put on my list of goals that I wanted to get a full tuition scholarship and I ended up getting one out of the blue! On top of that, I got a tuition reimbursement from my (then) current college! I also put on there that I wanted a house with a place to garden, and we found the perfect house to rent with everything we were looking for! Anyway, these work!

Welcome to bmindful. It sounds like you are in the flow. I hope you’ll keep visiting and browsing the affirmations, profiles and forums. You’ll find a universe of ideas here as we seek abundance in its’ many forms. Jan

Hi my name is Harley and Im 34.
I have used affirmations in the past, but I didnt stick with them. I have also used subliminal tapes and CDs. I didnt get much out of 99 percent of them – but there was these two tapes made by this one company which I forget the name – they worked very well! I wish I could find them again and learn the technique.

So my main goal right now is to improve my life, keep improving it. I am starting a research and development project to develop new ways to use brain entrainment and subliminal music.

Right now Im a one man team, so if anyone wishes to contribute to the research let me know!

So far it is promising.

Hi, I’m Eric. I’ve been a member for many years, I just never got around to introducing myself.

I have been a self improvement junkie for my entire adult life until I realized that positive thinking was the solution to many of life’s problems. Last month I started my own blog to spread positive thinking, and now I am looking to build a community of positive thinkers.

I look forward to meeting everybody here and getting to know you.

Hello everyone I’m Cathy.

I find human behaviour absolutely fascinating. The mind is such a powerful tool, but through my own experiences and explorations of working with many people with a wide variety of personal difficulties, habits and fears, I have been constantly enlightened by the strength, desire and conviction of those who really want to change, as they effectively unlearn those old debilitating negative habits, and replace them with more enjoyable and productive ways of living life.

Just by having a positive intention, changing the ‘attitude’ and committing themselves to change, they have created their own success! Now that is what I call making a positive difference in life! And we all have that Power to do so!

The power of Thought – You get what you focus on!

Instead of what thinking about what we Can’t do, and Don’t want, what is much nicer than focusing on what we CAN do and want we DO want. That’s positive progress!

I really needed this website and I didn’t even know it. I feel SUPER FANTASTIC today and would like to send out all the love and gratitude I received just scrolling down to the bottom of this page. My name is Arnold. One month ago I was in a completely different place mentally than I’m in today. I asked God for help, and I received it in the form of “The Secret” movie. This movie more or less summed up all the conclusions that I have been coming to in the past three to four years searching the internet for that “spiritually full” feeling. This movie had a really profound effect on my thinking. I had seen the movie in the past but it struck me as something that I already knew and didn’t give it my full attention. “I wasn’t ready”, you might say. Previously “The Secret” seemed to me, another “get rich quick” scheme that I had fallen for so many times in the past. Watching it recently this movie gave me a new sense of self, and understanding of all the negativity I surrounded myself in. I applied the basic principles of “The Secret” and immediately began to receive what I was sending out to the universe. I wanted more. That feeling of “more” led me to this website. Everyday now, I use the tools that I have been given much more productively and am consistently replenished spiritually. I greatly appreciate all that I have today and when I think of where I was in my head just a few short weeks ago, it is astonishing to me. I can clearly see what I want, and in many ways I get it everyday. In my language we say Yawa^ko(sounds like-“yow un go”). This means Thank you.

Hi my name is Julia, and im 30 years old.. i have two kids Hailee is 12 and Nevan will be 2 in may 2011.

I am currently struggling and have been for 2 years since the pregnancy with Nevan, of major anxiety, obsessing ( about everything imaginable ), and depression. i ve tried everything from meds and vitamins, to counsilling, quitting smoking, losing weight, self help books and online info, and ALL have contributed to my process of becoming healthy in my mind. BUT… when i read the book the secret, the power.. i saw positivity like i have never imagined b4.. i used to be like “ yah yah ok whatever” to ppl who say to think positive. and whatnot. I feel that all my negativity sent me to a place of worseness… just hell. I fed the negativity more and more… and im not gunna do it anymore :)

I started using affirmations to change my attitude and my thinking patterns. ITS HELPING more and more each day.. k its only been 3 days, but im positive about it :)!! I feel so much better. Im also finding my meditation classes, and cds are helping me also, ( ive also very recently just started this ) just to do it at least 20 min a day. If i find myself thinking unpleasant thoughts, i let them be , and then let them go, and say my affirmations.. and get back into my breathing again. Its so peaceful.

My dreams are to be healthy in my MIND, BODY , AND SPIRIT, and keep my relationships close, and working in a job i enjoy and make more money with for my family, and for my kids to grow up happy , healthy adults, and to be close with eachother, and myself.

Its no wonder i feel so much better.. It will improve for me more and more each day, until i m completely calm, peaceful and healthy especially in my mind… its a new beginning for me. :)

I am so appreciative of this website! Thank you Lee! Also love the Facebook pages. I am a student of Law of Attraction, studying Reiki, just rec’d my first attunement Dec 4, 2010, studying healing crystals, essential oils both Young Living and Wolfwalker, and am looking forward to studying more topics all things metaphysical. I have been on a path of transformation and expansion since 1998 when I was transformed in a Catholic Church in Berkley CA. It was most unexpected and life changing in the best possible way :) I am so grateful and thankful for all the expansion the universe/Lord is bringing me. Look forward to interacting with everyone. Love and light to you all!

Love and light! :)

I’m Nicholas, I’m from Canada and I am 25.
I got into bmindful because I realized the importance of self-talk. After seeing a few counsellors over a couple of years, I became aware that the subtle stream of thoughts in my head all day were often negative rather than positive. It also occurred to me that this was probably due to ingrained habit from my upbringing.
I then noticed that on days where I consciously fed myself positive thoughts, I became more calm, cheerful, productive and hopeful. Continuing to feed myself positive thoughts throughout the day has effectively made the process more automatic, so I don’t need to concentrate so much on it.
There are definitely the harder days where I forget that I can control my thoughts, and that’s why reminders are important. I hope to eventually retrain my self-talk to be positive full-time, so I can further improve my life and the lives of others. The community and bmindful have been quite helpful in my dedication to this.

hi I joined a while ago but have not been on here so much lately so I would just like to say hiya and welcome to all you lovely new folks, have a great time making friends and growing with bmindful ,love flowergirl

Hi, my name is Bridget from Yalca Victoria Australia, originally from New Zealand and I came upon this site when looking for affirmations to chant in meditation. Some really good affirmations I might add. I really glad to meet you all and am feeling agood vibe from this already, so nice to spread the joy. My husband and I and our son have just moved down to Victoria, hes going back to a job that brings him joy and peace; dairy farming and I am a newly graduated midwife, such a nice place to work helping women reach theirs and their body’s potential in achieving something like birth they never thought they could do. youre right nicaterpillar, if you constantly sent yourself love all day every day, you become a calmer more loving person…. we all have within ourselves the potential to be what we want to be and have what we want to have

Hi, I’m the Duck.I’m also looking to find good and positive things to change my life. I am a guy 50 years old and live in Minnesota in the U.S. I run a group home for special needs seniors, and I love my work,it’s the only reason I get out of bed in the morning.A few years ago my partner of 24 yrs. past away, and I lost my job of 14 yrs. all in the same year.I’m also in recovery and dealing with mental health issues, some of which I have overcome. When my partner died and I lost the job,due to company restructering,I lost my sobriety and my mental health spiraled downward.Out of necessity I found my current work.I had done such a good job taking care of Tony in the last 5 years of his life that I thought I would be good at taking care of others.I have discovered compassion and caring for others and impowering and teaching how to be more independant and advocating for those who can’t is something I an good at.The problem is that selflessness and humility are easy for me at work, its in my personal life that i struggle with accepting who I am and denying myself positive and happy thoughts and feelings, and low selfworth so i’m here to learn how to use affermations and hopefully absorb positive energy and move forward in life.Like I wrote in my profile I am taking a leap of faith by being open and willing.and the short time I have visited here has got me thinking. Thats the first step on this journey of learning acceptance and learning to be comertable with myself.

Wow welcome Ducky! You sound like an amazing person..so glad you are here. To articulate where you’ve been and even have an inkling of what you want for yourself beyond just sitting in what it took to get to this moment…you’re amazing. So glad you’re here. Welcome to the more of your journey. May each moment always be illuminated by the promise you continuously discover.

My name is Bill. I live in Michigan. I struggled with depression all through my teens and twenties. Really longer. But I’ve always felt like the world steered me that way. So I’ve found it worthwhile to try and steer my life into more positive waters. I don’t know why society is so negative. I’ve lived in Michigan for over a decade and I think it is one of the most negative places in the U.S. People here seem to look for the bad in everything. But really, I have this stubborn idea that deep down people are good. I don’t know how our good nature gets so buried, but we owe it to ourselves and our world to uncover it. I have a cat. I like sci-fi movies and TV. I like to write and draw. I work in customer service. I may go back to school soon.

Hello Bill..and again welcome to bmindful! One thing I’d like to share about “the world” is..it will never be as on target for what you need to hear..as you. And your talk to yourself is under your control(:

Hello everyone,
My name is Betty and I live in sunny Florida, USA. I am 50 yrs old married with 2 beautiful grown children, a son in law and their new puppy. My husband and I have been married for 26 years. We’re originally from New Orleans, LA and moved all around the country following his promotions. We’re settled here and plan on staying for awhile. We got disenchanted with the corporate world about 5 years ago and started our own business fabricating window treatments. Drapery, valances and such. It is very creative and fulfilling.
I raised my kids catholic and as soon as they were grown, I began seeking other spiritual avenues. I go to Unity church which has the belief system that your thoughts will manifest the kind of life you receive. We’re big into affirmations. Have any of you seen “Word of the Day”? It is a great publication that gives you a daily affirmation and little blurb to meditate on.
Also, I saw some red flags with alcohol and me and gave AA a try. I actually felt worst and suffered more.
So, I came here to get positive affirmations on attracting wholeness, sobriety, etc. It is a great site and I love the positive energy here. Thanks, Lee, for this wonderful resource.

hi Betty and welcome to bemindfull .I was drinking on my own every evening a few years ago when i became a single parent and decided to stop as i could see the direction i was going .Never drank since and i dont miss it one bit .

Is unity similar to Louise Hays beliefs – i think she is wonderfull .
love flowergirl

Hi Betty… is Unity like the Unitarian Church? I hvae heard it called UU as in, are you a UU…. we have one locally but haaaaaaaaave been hesitant to go….

Hello flowergirl and coachouse,

Unity is NOT Unitarian. I have never been to a Unitarian church, but they are not related in any way.
Yes, at Unity, we read literature from many of the Hay House authors. That is another great website and resource. We also study A Course in Miracles before services on Sunday.
What attracted to me to Unity was, first of all, the Word of the Day publication. Then when I went to the church for the first time, I saw their library was chocked full of books from authors that I read. Wayne Dyer, Pema Chodron, Abraham Hicks, etc.
And Unity thought system is to pray in the affirmative. So, we affirm the type of wellness we are seeking. …And so it is!
Be well ya’ll,
Betty
P.S. Sorry about double clicking on my first post reply.

hi betty thanks for your reply ,im going to look for a unity church in our area as i really like the sound of it .

Its more than a coincidence this ,i was at the zest4life class this morning ( its run by nutritionists trained by Patrick Holford – the top bloke in u k for nutrition ) and im lucky to be given a place on their trial in northern england .This mornings class was about how stress affects your body and we had to fill in these charts with things that helped us relax, our support systems etc .I realised all my support is online ,i do have freinds but they are so busy with their lives and i dont see them hardly .

So i decided im going to look for a circle of folks i can give and recieve support with and who have similar beliefs to me which my friends dont ,and i come home and read your post .

love flowergirl

IF YOU CAN FIND THE RIGHT TAI CHI DVD AND DO IT…THAT WILL RELIEVE STRESS AS WELL AS IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH …I,M OFF TO DO SOME RIGHT NOW

Hi Betty and Flower Girl… thanks for the heads up Betty on Unity…. I am going to look into them as well… I have dabbled with ACIM and I think it is great, but at times I do find it difficult to understand, a support system would be a great help….

Flower Girl…. good on you for looking for actual people to help… I live in the “Bible Belt” in USA, so it is hard to find people here of like minds but I do have a few freinds and they are so wonderful when I need support… keep us posted…. Kathy

Hi all,

Well i am here to introduce myself to u all and in hopes to be accepted for I dont have any friends but the ones I have met through my “Mental Health Support Group”
This group i feel and think that u all feel like the groups such as this one are a major contribution to our health in a positive way. Since unfortunately the world today has a “stigma” against basically everything. Of course that is my opinion I am not saying anyone else feels such as I do.

I have been running my mental health group for 3 years now but have been doing it for 5 years, i started with a yahoo free site group to see if I can handle the traffic, and handle to be stable enough to support, guide , and be able to handle the issues and struggles that come along the road for many of us and also majorly for the mentally ill.

I do not want u all too think I have come here just to “promote” u to join my group!! Of course all are always Welcome but please do not feel any pressure this is simply my life. I live to support, help, guide, contribute, and do most anything I can to reach out and help those inflicted with these many mental disorders. We also dont just support the individual with the illness, but we also support loved ones of them, and anyone who is close to any person ill and needs the support themselves, going through what they go through each and every day with a mentally ill loved one can take a toll on ones self. They also are in need of much support and guidance.

anyways my name is Jan.
I was diagnosed with multiple mental disorders 10 years ago, i was in denial and refused to believe it but something kept me going to therapy and the psychiatrist appt…. as well, i did like 2 years worth of research on Bipolar 1 with rapid cycling and also mixed states mostly, I rememebr being so hurt by this diagnoses, lost many many so called friends. I felt like such an outsider, weirdo, freak u name it i felt it!!
anyways after all the research i did the only thing that dawned on me and I got from all the reading was that I was the perfect image to define the disorder itself.
so in time i learned to accept it and my limitations such as losing my job after commitment of 8 years. That is what triggered all of this to come to a head and get me into a manic episode

anyways i am a mother of one child son he is 15 years old and unfortunately he has got ADHD such as myself. we are coping wiht it well and dealing positive to the struggles that he goes through. He has accepted that he needs the help of the therapy and the medication as well.

my husband Mike doesnt understand nor does he even research about it, so there is a little tad of conflict there but i see the positive in all people and truly believe he will eventually come to terms that his son does have an illness and he needs to educate himself of it, and become aware to be able to support and guide him properly in todays world.

ok this is getting longer and longer. I enjoyed reading almost most of your introductions and i see this is an understanding kind place to get the support of any kind which is just great. i am a new member but have been coming to this site i believe for the last year or so. The affirmations here are so helpful i use them to help my members at my group they get so uplifted after reading them, it is a honest to goodness lift and therapy to use consistently. They are continuing and asking for more and more. lolove

well as for me and my life it was no walk in the park, as Lee stated he was abused i believe, he said and that is the worst trama a person can indoor. i was abused sexually and physically at such a young age it all started when i was about from what i can remember anyway 8-9 years old. i lost my mom at 5 years old and my dad at 13 years old both due to cancer. i have two brothers and i basically left them and went out on my own for myself at the age about 15 i believe, was working part time at a local castle burger.Quit school in the 10th grade and also got an efficiancy sort of like an hotel room without all the perks of course it was only 50 a week so it was perfect for me. i am just luckily to this day i think that the landlord was very nice and caring and let me move in at such a young age and didnt get me in trouble for not being old enough to be on my own.

I cann go on and on about the trama but i refuse to talk about it too much, i am not triggered nor do i get upset about it any longer the way i cope is maybe he ruined my chilhood innocence but he cant and i will not tolerate or let him ruin the future i have thats bright and shiny and such with my son and husband.

I do not hold a job,as of now in my life, i worked from about 14 or 15 until i was about 32, then i had the episode i said in the begining of this post and boom,my psychiatrist sent my work a letter to be out from work for a week and such just to get use to the strong side effects from the type of meds i had to start taking, all my bosses seen even after I knew them and was so responsible, reliable, and dedicated to that job, they seen on the fax the word “diagnosis” it said of course” Bipolar 1”
thats when the BOOM came in they fired me on the spot totally devastated me but if i explain that too this message will never ever end, it is TOTALLY ok if u didnt even READ this far and STOPPED it is long i am so sorry but i had a lot in my younger years go on and have had a lot to do to change it from such a “hurtful” and NEGATIVE life to a POSITIVE one. i am proud to say i live today. I have been stable and such with my many disorders for 4 years now, and i feel great, but dont get me wrong, i have my blue, meaning very LOW DAYS as well but i tend to have a little control now.

ok i should end this and save some for a later time, if u want to get to know me more i would love to share, help, or have even more online friends. u can never have too much knowledge the way i think, nor support, there is always always room for more!!!!

currently as stated somewhere above this long story i am now on social security disability. and i have been for like 6 years now, sure i miss working but as i tell and support my members that are low on themselves because they cant work a job does nothing to say anything about your character now does it even come close to defining who u truly are.
i also since i am on disability and have the time spend a lot a lot of time moderating support groups for mental illnesses and also run and operate and such my own which i am proud to say is growing with wonderful positive people who do not judge nor flame they simply accept everyone no matter what they say in a post that they are going through. i have been to many support groupson line for mental illness i was a member of a quite few of them way before i decided to make my own and i learned just how bad some of them are and just have it there to say they have it to look like they truly do care and help and support or volunteer in some ways but they truly dont and they truly do not take care of the important issues in the forum that i am sure u all know that can happen with disagreements if u let them go for too long they become angry arguments. i do let people disagree of course we all have difference of opinions bt that is what is great about beig here or any where for support positive support we agree to disagree unfortuately not all people are equipped with this skill and decide to play on members weaknesses those people i just warn once and then when they do or i mean say something again in such a foul negative manner to someone i just ban them to tell u the truth. i dont know if that makes me look bad but i protect my members and such i refuse to see any of them hurt with especially what they have to live with already being mentally ill
i also do alot of volunteering not just on line i AM blessed i think, i am taking a college course on substance abuse Counseling and i also go to my lOCAL mental health organization called NAMI.org i think that is the web site as well,
to volunteer sometimes 2-4 times a week i just love it, it makes me feel like i am really making a difference in the stigmas and such i do the walks every year the local ones and whatever else they may need help in. i am going to start also assiting the leader of the groups for my college course they said since i devote so much time volunteering i can come and earn credits and do my hours that are required for completeng the college course.

my mental health support group accepts anybody going through any kind of mental issues or disorders even the slightest of the stress that may be going on u might need some coping skills to get through it..

please do n ot feel i am here to just promote or i shall say advertise my group
if u dont like me putting my link here ((lee)) please tell me and i will promptly delete it out.

I think this is the right place to introduce myself!? Anyway, I joined this site because 6 months ago I experienced a life shattering break up with my live in boyfriend of 5 years. I poured my whole self into making that relationship work, while he lied, cheated, abused, you name it. I literally felt defeated and exhausted by the end. Since then I have met and started dating an amazing, trustworthy, loyal man who deserves all the best I have to offer. But, of course, I am having trouble moving on while holding onto so much anger and pain from my past relationship. I need some positive thoughts to read when I wake up in the morning to remind me that I am worthy of this man, and that I need to release the hurt from the past. I joined today, and already find these affirmations incredibly uplifting. Just knowing that there are others out there that have experienced similar pain is a gift.

welcome cassipoo…. you r gonna love it here…. give up the anger…. it will only keep you from getting where you want to go… and therefore he will win… I suspect that you r not a looser…. love and peace,,, Kathy

Hi Everyone

I’m finally saying Hi to you all. Please visit my profile to know more. I am grateful to this site because I really feel it had a lot to do with getting me my new job. In fact, I told my interviewers about this site and how affirmations changed my life in answer to one of their interview questions.

My offline name is Stephanie, but I much prefer Morgandy because it is different and I have never once seen anyone with that name on the internet. It means little one by the side of the sea. I am a very watery person so I like that.

I live on the Puget Sound near Seattle. My town is very cute and has a beautiful waterfront, so I’m not far from the sea. I will need to move soon though to live closer to work. I know it will be a good thing and my best friends and family have told me to move without me asking their opinion. Nevertheless, moving from this community will be difficult. But I will retire from this job so moving is the right thing.

Anyway, I am an RN and am working in a clinic that is phone only. I have my own cubicle that I have been allowed to decorate as I like. This is not the normal RN job and it is a wonderful way to retire. Since it’s not physical, I can easily work here until I am 70.

Two cats own me, but I recently found out that one is ill. He is the favorite cat I have ever had so that made me sad for awhile. But now I am doing for him what I do for myself, I think positively.

My first goal here is to simply be a positive person and use that to bring positive energy into other people’s life. But the other two things I would like to see happen is good health and monetary abundance.

I am fairly ill and people who know that are surprised that I still work. But I mostly feel healthy thanks to affirmations. In one year, I was told I might die 3 times and that changed me but I’m not dead and I refuse to die. I have rarely called in sick to work. In fact, younger and healthier people than me have called in sick much more than I have. My lab tests have also gotten better though they are not normal yet. But I’m still ill and have to take care of myself.

I need to work on monetary abundance more. I am not looking to get rich. I just want to retire at the socioeconomic level I currantly enjoy. I do put away the max for retirement but many seniors had their income lowered recently, etc. I also want to just pay off my debts I accumulated while I was on disability for my broken arm. So, I think that’s it for me tonight.

Thanks for listening
Morgandy

Blessed Be
Morgandy

In response to Morgandy’s post:

Morgandy, Thank you, for sharing your story. You are truly an inspiration.

I use this site for my members on my support group i own it lifts them tremendously, it is for mental illnesses, the affirmations work the best for they are easier for them.

Hello All!

I am from Texas. The reason I am here is because of a dear friend I met long ago. He brought me here over two years ago, and I finally realized why he lead me here.

My story is this, I’ve had a rough past few years. Once, I was a straight A undergrad, with alot of potential ahead of me, but after my family and I went through some trying times, I eventually gave up my degree and begin working a full time job to help support my family.

I have had my share of ups and downs, and have been trying to get back to the once positive and delightful person I was before. Over the past seven months I had made alot of progress until I found out (many months after the fact) that said friend mentioned above had passed. It shook me pretty hard, and while flipping through some old messages between the two of us I found the link he left me to come here.

I am really looking forward to being here, and hope that I will be greater than I was before :)

let me welcome you illusions… you have come to a great place….. Kathy

Hi! I found this website while looking for my new amazing future in work! I am a HUGE believe in attraction as I’ve seen some amazing happenings since I’ve first learned about it. This site helps me so much and it has only been 10 minutes. I am so excited to find this knowing that this helps me stay on a correct health and happy path. I am 25 and will be 26 in March. I have a beautiful girlfriend that I care about so much. She is always there for me providing all the help I need!

Everyone has their ups and downs but I choose to always look up. You cannot reach the top if you are always looking down in fear of falling!

THANK YOU!!!

Hi everyone,

My name is Martha Di Giovanni but friends call me DOC. I just moved to Seattle, WA after leaving an emotionally abusive relationship. My husband drained my spirit, my creativity and my life. I had to move to Seattle to live with my son. I want a new outlook in my life, even though simple, I want to achieve what I never did in my 56 years of life.

I found this website and did not pay to much attention to it until now. I want to do my passion which is “Art.” I want my creative juices to come back. I want to get a job, a little place I can call home and do what is my passion. I believe that with “bmindful” and with the beautiful affirmations I found might be the place to achieve my goals.

Right now I need that support that will help me achieve what I am pursuing and I hope I can make new friends here.

What’s up Doc? Glad to have you here! Can’t wait to seeing some of your art!

I was though grateful for finding this site because it offers me a chance to interact with people who are looking to make a powerful change in their life as well. I am in the proccess of reprograming my mind for building my business as well as become more confident in myself and also approching women.

Harley Duck, I have got to tell you that I am THRILLED that you have joined bmindful. I am a huge music fan too, though, I am VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY old and you probably are much more UP on what’s HIP these days. I dig art and animation too! And where did you get the name Harley Duck? That is a very cool name in my perspicacious opinion.

Hello, I’m Stefania, based in England. I’m been a fan of positive thinking and affirmations for many years. I discovered works by Walt Whitman, Florence Schinn,Ernest Holmes and many others. Reading books and listening to podcasts helps keep my spirit strong and keeps me motivated. It’s uplifting when I feel down.

I’m busy each day working on multiple streams of income channels – both working for others and for myself. Voice acting and crafts are my passions, so I often try to use those talents in a spiritual way when I can.

I’m so happy to have discovered this group, just while surfing the net. I guess it was meant to be, I was looking for bmindful even though I didn’t know I was!

Cheers everybody, looking forward to getting to know you.

Hi everyone, I was recomemded this sight by a key worker of mine. I’ve been suffering depression due to an illness that is undiagnosed but have been told that i have a cyct on my pineal gland and that it could be causing some of my symptoms and will affect my mood because it is possible the cyct will cause depression because of where it is. I have been having CBT and NLP as well as coucelling and found that reading posative affermations helps quite alot. I am open minded to try anything that helps make me feel more possative. I am excited to have been told about the sight and hope that i can share some of the things i have lerned as well as learn from others. Looking forward to reading all about it. x

Hello everyone! So happy to finally be able to devote some time to bmindful. My name is Che Garman and I have been an active proponent of using affirmations for many years. The Affirm Your Life website was created in July, 2009 and has been a full-time job for me right from the start. Affirm Your Life is currently on multiple social networks… something which I am still learning to handle as I go along. I am most active on Twitter, finding it the perfect platform to inspire and motivate (hopefully) 82,000+ followers.

I have always wanted to post the best of Affirm Your Life’s affirmations to bmindful, and also to become an active, contributing member. I believe that I can finally make the time to do this – at least on a weekly basis :)

Looking forward to meeting everyone as the weeks progress. And wishing everyone a life that is inspired and empowered!

Hi I’m WolfWillow (Marina) – I’m an Internet veteran looking for something different. The same old tired social sites are … well … tired :) Bmindful has really good energy, and I’m interested in spending time here – I’ve used affirmations for years, and this site is the motherload! :) I’m a single mom of 2, and I live in western Canada :) Love & Light to All :)

The simplest things are often the most true. ~ Richard Bach ~

Hi everyone,

I’m entering my last year of law school this coming fall. The past two years of school has highlighted the areas of my life that need work. It has only recently come to my attention that I don’t know the first thing about loving myself and treating myself with the kindness I show the people I care about.

I finally realized that until I learn to appreciate myself, the world and the people around me will always feel like a burden. I see now that until I take care of myself, I won’t have the energy to take care of others. And I want to be able to take care of the people I care about. I don’t want to be tired of the world. I want to live and wake up every day loving the fact that I’m alive for another day.

I grew up in an environment where nothing was ever good enough and negative motivators were the primary teaching tools. I grew up not knowing how much this affected me in my daily life and interactions with people. I want to be able to show love, affection, encouragement and support for the people I love. I want to be open and expressive about my feelings. I spent so many years building walls because that was the only way I knew to protect myself from the pain, guilt, anger, sadness, and frustration.

I don’t want to battle with myself inside anymore. I want to learn to take care of my feelings and not just try to brush them aside because I’m worried that the dam will never close once I open up.

I am glad to have come across this website. I think the encouragement and support of a community that shares similar goals will be immensely useful for someone who is trying to take this one tiny step at a time.

Thank you for creating this website, and thank you all for being a part of it.

Hi seedubya and welcome here .I’m looking forwards to chatting with you here on the forum .

Acknowledging that you don’t care for yourself can be a big step forwards ,you know where you are starting from and where you want to get to .

Baby steps are good ,listening to how you talk to yourself ,treating yourself ( a special cup of tea / bunch of flowers ) .As you start gently you will start to notice ways in which you can be kind to you .

It is a healing journey and you are not alone .

Louise Hay has written some wonderful books “You Can Heal Your Life” is very helpful with learning to love yourself .

Sounds like this site will be helpful for you.

Once you get to know Twain, you’ll never be the same.

Hi my name is janiceroga here,

But you can call me Jan, I am here to gain more confidence in my life. I tend to help people and tell them advice but I don’t know why I don’t follow my own.

I have trouble taking compliments and want to give to myself as much as I give to others it is way hard for me though.

I am working on my affirmations and read a lot of books by Louise Hay but it feels as though it is not sinking in “yet” I am working really hard at it.

I own and run a support group and I help so many others there but when I can love myself I think I will be of more help to them there.

I love it here and reading really lifts me I am so proud to be a part of this community.

I will post more later this is all the time I have I feel safe so to speak here, and feel wanted and I like that a lot I am on my way to healing I can feel it and the meditation is helping a lot as well as the affirmations.

Thanks for reading Peace Jan

Hi there, I am Lori.

I am new to bMindful; just a couple weeks in and I am loving every moment of it.

I’m not one to talk a lot about myself; I have Aspergers, so communication or even self-insight can sometimes be a challenge. I have a lot on my profile page, if anyone cares to stop by and read.

I am a constant work in progress and very proud and excited by how far I’ve come over these last 2+ years and even more excited to see where else life will take me… It’s been an awesome ride so far :)

Anyway, it’s so nice to be here. Just love the site, Lee and Mel.

Thanks for having me, Lori K

Hi Smile11rwb :)

I choose to believe that everything goes well and my belief becomes manifested as a bountiful harvest of abundant joy and happy events.

Hi Everyone, thank you Lee and Mel for creating this site! I only just discovered it yesterday and am excited to see what unfolds. I am about to turn 49 and have been a believer of positive self-talk and affirmations for about 15 years. What brought me to your site, though, is part of my personal journey to heal from my childhood and to have a healthier, more loving relationship with myself so that I can have healthier relationships with others in my life. I have come a long way since I hit bottom last year, and my life is already filled with so much more joy and positive mental health than I’ve ever felt before. Still, I find myself gravitating towards checking email and peeking on facebook, to look for responses to ‘affirm’ myself, which I understand now to be an unhealthy habit-I own my own power, I have learned, and I get the wonderful responsibility of affirming myself. Still, I find it hard to break the habit of peeking at email and facebook, despite this understanding, despite the affirmations I say all day and keep with me. I am hoping that this site, and the company of like-minded people, will help me on this next leg of my personal journey.

Good luck to everyone here as you travel on your personal journeys!!

Hi there!
I have a wonderful feeling that you are going to do JUST FINE!! You are going in the right direction and that is half of it right there!
Just don’t be hard on yourself and realize you are always in the right place at the right time!! Even tho it may not always ‘feel’ like it…but you still are!
So nice to have you on this site! :)

Howdy. I’m Penn Savage, a communications and confidence coach. I’ve been teaching the value of positive self-affirmation for years, as well as how to use them effectively. I also utilize them daily for myself.

I’ve learned a thing or two over the years about how to improve on the common practice. I’ve learned how to write a better affirmation, how to integrate it into your life more seamlessly, and how to get more mileage.

I’m looking forward to getting to know all of you, and sharing my ideas about how to upgrade and supercharge self-affirmations. Its time for the science to evolve. Its time for SA’s to start delivering on what they have promised. I am fully dedicated to the mission of making inroads into that territory, and I hope I will have your support as you do mine.

Many of my experiences and technique-improvements are detailed in my recent book “Prayers to Self”. My aim is to elevate the conversation, and this is a book about looking upwards as well as forwards. You can find it here: https://gumroad.com/l/zaDW

I look forward to being a contributing member of this exciting community!

Hello everyone! My name is Lori. I’m from Springfield, IL USA. I’m 54 years old. I have three children, one has crossed over to the other side. My son (who has crossed over) was mentally ill and took his own life. I have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder although it is not a concern any longer. I have found that I no longer allow my past depression to define me. After letting that go, the depression also left. I have ups and downs like we all have, but I am thankful that I choose to not allow depression into my life. I am a social worker and work with the mentally ill. After realizing I can heal myself, I long to help those I work with realize the same, although I can’t make others come to any realizations; they will do so when they are ready and able. I use affirmations to deal with any and every seemingly insignificant part of my life, and it makes me a happier, more fulfilled person. I’m in the “personal summer” of my life (menopause – LOL), and it seems that I am having a difficult time controlling my mood and easily become angry. I’m not happy with the tone of voice I use with others, which seems to be more the culprit than what I say. This is what made me go hunting for some new affirmations and brought me here. I look forward to making friends in this community. Peace and love to you all.

I Lori!
A belated welcome! I’m Kathi. Thank you for introducing yourself and for sharing a little about yourself.
I really like your avatar! I’m a cat lover, and I have the sweetest tortoise little girl, named Clover and she is something else! Glad you’re here and wish you incredible personal success, new tools, new perspectives, new friends and most of all I wish you joy!

Hello all! I am a new member to bmindful and I love all the posts and affirmations. I am happy to be part of this community.

I want to know everyone’s feelings on creating affirmation CD’s and replaying them to yourself. Currently, I have a CD with affirmations I recorded with baroque music in the background. I let the CD play on repeat all night while I sleep. I also play my CD on the drive to and from work everyday. Even in the office I let my affirmations play lightly in the background.

I’m starting to see some changes in my life and I want to make sure I am on the right track. What are some other things I should be doing? I’d love to know what bmindful members are doing to manifest their dreams and desires.

hi to all our newbies – it is lovely to see new people here and I hope you are settling in ok .Please join in on the threads .Love and peace ,flowergirl

Happyman ,I would love to record my affirmations and listen to them but have not a clue how to do it .I like having meditations playing during the day even if I am not actually sat listening to them and love gentle music playing during the night ( no lyrics they wake me up !)

I do enjoy writing them out though and find it so relaxing

Hello! I am Saroj Ahuja working as Marketing Managerat SRM InfoTech, Delhi, India. Looking forward to have great connection with everyone here and lets have some insights along the way/. Thanks

Hello Friends, Johan Smit here, Sarvaga Light. I have been Member of this wonderful page for many many years and only just today received an email, this email has excited me to update my blog and say Namaste to you all. I have always looked at the World through different eyes and even from a young age had the ability to feel energies from people but at the time had no idea what it was and what to do with it.

As I matured I began to realize that I had a gift, a gift to assist others and allow them to feel. To feel the love that is within them and to help them unlock that door so they can be all they can be and more.

I am what some would call an “Intuitive Healer”. I am also a Reiki Master however I use the term Master very lightly as we never master anything, this comes from the Ego mind set and this is not who I am.

I am just an extension cord so to speak and I just link you back up to where you came from.

I also have strong psychic perception and also use this skill during sessions to get clients to a point of understanding. There is much to learn about each other and of me.

If you are working on the law of Attraction then that is only part of the puzzle…. I what you to also focus on who you are.

BE Gentle
BE Sincere
BE Supportive
BE of Service.

NAMASTE

Wow, good thing for the checklist on the profile page or I probably wouldn't have done this. I usually bypass these in most forums but I want to transform that little red x into a green check mark just because I can.

I may as well introduce myself while I am here. I Am iZUHM THA iNFiNiTE, that's not just an online handle it's really my name. I am even in the process of changing it to be reflected on "legal" documents because like most of ancestors used to do was change their names to reflect who they were actively being. It fits with who I Am currently choosing to be, the self expression which I have to keep the ego from wanting to assume that identity and make it an identity based on my past. If you've ever read The Power Of Now by Eckhart Tolle you'll have a good idea of what I'm talking about in regard to the ego.

I won't get into the meaning of my name here as it has many different aspects to it but I may possibly write about it in the future as people are often curious and ask.

I know typically this iz where we share some background info on ourselves but that will never tell you who I am as none of that defines who I am right now. It's not that I have a dark past but like most people I've had low lights and highlights throughout my ever changing life situations. Some of what I will share in my posts will give people glimpses of those moments but I would much rather you get to know me for who I truly am and not who my egoic mind would like you to think I am. My ego iz not a bad thing but it no longer sits in the drivers seat of my life. The ego can now only keep working as a sign pointing back to my authentic self which iz what I want to create space for it to keep manifesting.

I like to write which has brought me here. I do many other things such as direct live web-series talk shows mostly for a grass roots multimedia company called IE Live Media Group, where I serve as the Studio Manager as well. I will also be directing more traditional television shows and will share about those projects when I can. I produce my own shows, a Hiphop culture show, called OnDaGrindTV, which I've been doing since 2011. I have been an active hiphoppa for many years and involved in the music industry but I love the independent side the most and I feature mostly independent artists but I have and plan to continue working with many "mainstream" artists. I have a spin-off program that has been seen on IE Live TV called "OnDaGrindTV Presents Tha Come Up" which I tried something new, going unscripted and have since reformatted the program and went back to scripting which will make it a much sensible show...lol. That didn't work too well but I really wanted to experiment with it so I did.

I also have a few other projects I will be premiering in the very near future but the one I'm really excited about iz High Vibe FreQz which iz a program all about expanding consciousness, self exploration, and personal development. This has lead to me having to rename my own multimedia company because OnDaGrindTV didn't really allow me much room to expand into other things. I will be revealing the new company name at a later date but it will encompass all that I love to do in media, arts, and entertainment. At the core of everything I do it's all done in a space of love and joy for creation and inspiration.

I like to write about life in general. It's what brought me to this wonderful community of bmindful. I love the power found in affirmations which iz what had initially attracted me to the site. Then I discovered the forums and the really positive inspirational people that often post their own amazing thoughts here and my appreciation for the site continues to increase each and everyday. All that I share are my experiences that I know may not work for all people, may not resonate with all people, and that's a wonderful thing in itself because I love the uniqueness in people as much as I do our oneness that we share, I am merely sharing what has been my own experiences that may possibly offer a new perspective to others, some practical methods to try for themselves, and find new perspectives and practical methods that others are willing to share with me to expand my own YOUniverse.

All kinds of wonderful and beautiful things are here for me to experience, and I DO welcome those experiences.

I always bring out the best in other people and I am welcomed wherever I go

There’s no such thing as fiction. Our experiences are constructed within our own imagination. What we believe iz possible iz what we’ll experience. The life we’re living now iz only imagined in some of the minds of other infinite parallel versions of you.

I am very new to the Affirmations but i find it pretty interesting and want to try it out and see if it can help me in a long term process, well to keep up the discipline i joined the community.

I am Alpha(not my real name), i live in India and am studying Civil Engineering. Over the years of engineering i have successfully not completed many tasks that i wanted to master in such as playing guitar and learning spanish, I learned that i lack in maintaining consistency and this is one of the many attempts of improving it. Though I did not know about affirmations before yesterday but i did read many books which were based on self development some of my favorites were "rich dad poor dad" and "think and grow rich".

I am a very social person and am looking forward to making friends in this community.                    Have a great day.

Welcome once again Alpha! So glad you're here...Its a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

  • First and foremost... because I am believing you will  prosper greatly from affirmations, and the forum. ( Btw wonderful books/authors you've mentioned. And Napoleon Hill awesome! )

Another reason I'm glad you're here is a very selfish reason ...

  • As all of us  here are creating, enjoying & helping ourselves... it seems to magically trickle  over into  helping others.
  • You see, this is a very inspirational place! We gain so much from one another.  I'm looking forward to learning from you too!! blessings!  AlwaysWonderful Possibilities (aka selfcare)

Hello all, I am Kacy. I live in the US, and am happy to have found this web site. Thank you Lee, for creating it.

Hello kacy :)

Anything that anyone gives attention to, becomes true

Hello everyone.  My name is Kath.  I am very new to affirmations having only heard about them this morning :)

I have been having counselling after a relationship went very wrong and I became fixated on him (still am to some extent) as much as I know that he has moved on and is seeing someone else. I feel very stuck in wanting a second chance.

The counselling has helped but has unearthed that during my life I have missed out on such a lot because of low self esteem.  I never expect good things to happen, if something goes wrong I just take it on the chin because its to be expected.

Anyway - I was given the challenge of turning all my negative thoughts into positive ones - and I have found it really difficult. But after a bit of googling this morning I came across affirmations.

My first one is ' I believe, trust and have confidence in myself'  The first few times that I said this out loud I could almost feel a shift in my mindset.  So I am going to give it a go.

I just need one that says to me ' I can have a happier life with a good man and i dont need you'  So any help or better statements would be great.  Unfortunately we still speak and see each other so I need to get past this.

Not really sure yet how many affirmations I can have at one time as I dont want to overload my mind. But I have to work on my self esteem so wish me luck and heres hoping for success.... No !  I will succeed

Hello everyone, my name is Ilijana. I am from Croatia, and I live with my mom who is currently sick and can't walk. I enjoy positive affirmations, law of attraction, and reading anything from Neville Goddard to fanfiction about my fave fictional characters.

If I did so I would be inaccurately perceived as having MPD.
