I stumbled on this site and think it’s great. What a great place to meet like minded people. Wouldn’t the world be a better place if more people congregated here. I hope some of you will add me as a friend.
UPDATE: I’ve been on bmindful for quite some time now and know for a fact that it has been a positive influence in my life. Just thought I’d mention it.
Hey CookieMan~ I just downloaded your song “The Shirt” and I really liked it. You must have the girls chasing you!!!
I don’t know how I ended up on your “MySpace” page, but as luck would have it… I saw that your education was in Economics / Finance. It surprised me because I would have thought you would be a Music major with your passion for the subject.
N E Ways, I wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed listening to it.
Hi Jeff, yes will do say hello to Peter Jackson for you lol, those movies are the BEST of the BEST! Everything in his movies were so mind blowing, he such an amazing guy and very well respected here in New Zealand. I didnt read any of his books thou knew it was very popular when I used to work in a book shop, everyone had high raves for them all. This place was just buzzing with excitement when we heard it was brought to life by Peter Jackson.
Hi Jeff, you have my curiousity now in regards to reading LOTR, I will be getting it as soon as I can! I watched Lord of the Rings today, I just couldnt help myself, and your words have me hook line and sinker to now read the books, hope I am going to find the time to read them, the books are huge with fine print lol.
Hi ya Jeff, Its 9.58pm over here in New Zealand, you woke up early and nice thought you first checked into bmindful, I hope you have a good peaceful sleep tonight, oh cool yes I will certaintly be letting you know what I think of the books, I cant wait to start reading, I havent read The Hobbit thou now I will be doing so too. I cant wait to share with my son also, he is a vivid reader.
Sweet dreams Jeff, nite nite, catch up with you tomorrow.
Hi Jeff! How are things? Everything is going ok in my world lol! Weather here has been amazing, kids on the last week on their hoildays, I sure hope you get to come and visit my country too! You will love it, we have beautiful scenery here, and beautiful people here too, its so capivating! Make sure you pop in for a cuppa too and some baking!
HI Jeff! A big HEELLO to you up in the big world! Everything is going good now in my world. Mental vacation sounds GREAT! Especially when it is rereading LOTR, you taste in books is pretty cool. Soon I will be getting out the minute I finish rereading You Own The Power by Rosemary Altea. Oh and inregards to world insane, I have had a day of crazy drivers, majority of them are pulling out in front of me, pushing me over to the side, not looking in their mirrors, similar to how people are with their shopping trolleys lol. So cant wait to get my car from the panelbeaters later then I can stay home for a rest!
Hi Madcookieman, everything is going really well down here, kids and household chores are keeping me busy, Im in desperate need of a washing machine lol, it broke down yesterday.
Funny! I will keep a look out for you! I will find you one that is really sweet, knows how to groove, likes conversation, someone who is knowledgable in all topics, someone like minded as you! You will be blown away and Im sure you will have them flocking around you the minute you step off the plane when you come over to visit one day! Whoever gets you will be the luckest girl in the whole wide world!
I just love your avator! It is really awesome! He is a character from LOR aye, the main actor of all the masters? I do apologise for my low knowledge of names in the movie.
Wishing you all the best of everything! Kindest regards Dee
Hiya, I live only 20 minutes away from Lausanne :-) It is so typical that everything closes down. Quit often when I get back from a trip on sundays, I end up having to walk home from the station, cause there are no Taxis and the next bus is usually in half hour, during which time I have walked home. It is an interresting mentality though: work as long as necessary and make sure to close down on time. Do everything one at a time.
AH, just remembered an annoying experience of some years ago, when I was not living here, but had to come for a visit, arriving late sunday evening. Had made reservation at a sh… hotel close to the station (everything else was booked out) telling them that I will arrive late, Yes yes was the answer. When I arrived, the hotel was closed, locked, nobody there and no emergency number availble. It was close to midnight and I was about to cry. DidnĀ“t find the mentality interresting at all at that time.
Hi Mad cookie man - On first thoughts, due to the image conjured up by your name, I pictured a large, cuddly man who loves to eat cookies…..On reading your messages, I am guessing quite the contrary. So many women blatantly flirt with you!!!! Are you some kind of Rock God!!! Lol! Just kidding. Its great that you are ‘naturally attracting the right people’ as per your affirmation. May you always have lots of friends and be happy and secure. Thanks for making me smile today! Anoushka
I don’t know if I can come up with just one. The confrontation with the Balrog was one for sure. Also, in the movie where he is talking to Frodo about the idea that we must decide what to do with the time that is given us. Also, in the movie version where Pippin asks him if this is the end, and he describes the other side. How about when he pops Denathor with his staff! I’ve read the book and seen the movie so many times I sometimes get confused about what happened in which. I really am one of those LOTR nuts. I haven’t read it in a few years though, It’s about time to dust it off again. Have you ever read The Silmarillion?
Incidentally, did you know that the Balrogs and the Istari are essentially the same creatures? I would have to go back and look up some stuff it, but Gandalf and the Balrog, and Sauron as well are all the same. There were originally five wizards who came out of the West, Saruman, Gandalf, Radagast, and the two Blue wizards. The two blue wizards are not mentioned in the LORT, but they are in the Silmarion. Just briefly though, when they came to Middle Earth they went into the Eastern lands. The Silmarillion adds so much richness to the tale.
Hiya, do you know Antony Hegarty? One of his songs reminded me of your ‘My shirt’, but I cann’t remember which one it was. I think it was one with Antony and the Johnsons. I like them, here’s one I recently heard: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-JwTD10AXQ
And my all time favorite by him is with another group: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fb8S51M2GAc
Love his voice.
Hi madcookieman,
Oops I just left you a message but put it on my own profile (hello mary). I’m learning! I really enjoyed your profile. I love music too and go often to karaoke clubs. Music gives you so much happiness. Janis Joplin is one of my favorite singers. My dad raised us on so many different types of styles of music. Our family was always dancing or listening to it.
“I wish they’d had electric guitars in cotton fields back in the good old days. A whole lot of things would’ve been straightened out. Jimi Hendrix.”
Peace, Mary
Hi Jeff! How are things? All is good and dandy here with me :-), I am heading in the right direction for peace, love and understanding. So sorry for late delay, I have been on a few times getting affirmations and then had to quickly go. Been doing alot of working on issues that have arisen. All good now. What have you been doing? How is your website going? The weather here is sunny today, birds are chirping and basking in the sun and dirty, its cute when they do that. Sending much love and light Dee xxx000xxx
Hi! I just registered 5 minutes ago and i’m happy to stumble upon your list of songs. I will listen to them this evening, I hope they’re all positive and will help me with my business. Also, since you’re a music man, can you help me come up with positive songs I can play in my restaurant?
Thank you so much! Wish you more Music and Love.
Great set of affirmations! I really like your name, its kinda cute and inviting. I used to freak out on cookies earlier now I am more aware and avoid them but I love visiting your threads and comments. They are inspiring and extremely motivating. Living in the middle of nowhere must b so very interesting! All the time I am in the middle of something and that bugs me sometimes. Sorry to ask,but what is cauasian? Keep writing you r very motivating. Take care.
Hi there Jeff Youre right you dont know that much about me (I guess Im a bit of a mystery ;)). Well apart from going onto Bmindful of course, I like to read self-delevopment books by authors like Louise Hay and Susan Jeffers. I like to go for walks on a sunday afternoon. Visiting relatives. Eating out sometimes like I did today. Reading novels sometimes and although I havent been for a while I enjoyed working out at the gym, must try to get back into it.
Oh and of course I like spending time with my husband and daughter. I do wish sometimes though that my husband would want to go on more walks and further afield and go on more daytrips together.
For some reason on my computer my avatar is still the old one, the picture of my ugly mug! The rest of you are seeing my new avatar, it’s the Pleades (sp?). It’s a constellation, the one the Maya used to figure out how long a year was. They used the position of the pleades to know when to plant their crops. Actually they had a more accurate calender than the Europeans at the same time in history. Pretty amazing, really. They didn’t have the wheel, but they had an amazingly accurate calendar. Anway, that’s what the stars are on my latest avatar.
OK, I had to google this :-) Pleiades. Lovely. we can only see a portion of it, I would say it’s a bit of the part that shows the taurus. Now reading more about the pleiades, I am not sure if it is the same thing you are talking about, there is no mention of the Mayas. It was first mentioned by the Sumerians (spelling) and then loads of others in the area and then the greeks.
And always remember the most accurate calender was and is the persian calender ;-)
