I have been using affirmations for the past 16 years. I started my journey when I first became an assistant principal in an elementary school. I also started meditating for an hour a day at that time. As a part of my daily meditation I read my affirmations aloud each day. I read them as I start my work day and again at night just before going to sleep. I still feel, after all these years, I have very positive effects. I do not often feel stressed out at work, nor do I feel the pressure of the job, that so many of my peers complain about. I also have noted I am more creative and my problem solving ability has been enhanced. I am a true believer in both meditation and positive affirmations. I have also done quite a bit of work with quotations. I try to gather information from all who have gone before me and try to learn from all I meet along my journey. Being mindful of who you are and where you want to go is a process, not a destination. I am definitely a traveler on a journey and glad to see so many others taking a similar route.
Binaural beats are sounds with a different phase for each ear, thus you would need to wear headphones that are designed to pick up the specific low frequencies that are used for the sounds or music. My affirmations are embedded in the music.
Binaural beats: The brain produces a phenomenon resulting in low-frequency pulsations in the loudness of a perceived sound when two tones at slightly different frequencies are presented separately, one to each of a subject’s ears, using stereo headphones. A beating tone will be perceived, as if the two tones mixed naturally, out of the brain. The frequency of the tones must be below about 1,000 to 1,500 hertz for the beating to be heard. The difference between the two frequencies must be small (below about 30 Hz) for the effect to occur; otherwise, the two tones will be heard separately and no beat will be perceived.
Hi Poppy, Thank you so much for the beautiful message you left on my profile! I’ve have just read through your profile. I have recently started using a Binaural beat program, but have not had a lot of experience with it. I believe it is very good way to be more creative. Again thank you for the kind words!
Love and light! Anne

Hi Poppy, I like your affirmations. I think that I will borrow your “I become more and receive more every time I help someone.” because that is so true.
I look forward to hearing from you in future postings. MM
