I’m at a point where I am resting my gaze, enjoying and picking what I want to do. I have given up striving, everything is lining up for me. They whisper to me, “me me me”, “pick me”. I say no and yes. With every no, my yeses become loud and forceful.
Have been spending a lot of time at home, because I LOVE MY HOME. I love how it’s big, open, clear, uncluttered and comforting. Lots of nooks to sit.
Work is really going ballistic. As a freelancer, it’s great to be able to sit back and relax and not worry about where the next meal ticket is coming from. I don’t do anything special, my web site is blerky, no advertising, no business card - just honest good work. Consistently now, I have had clients appear from “nowhere”. Even had one knock on my front door.
Looking forward to doing lots of gardening in the next month. Planting out sunflowers cos I LOVE THEM!
UPDATE >0.0: I now have a herb garden, a patch of spinach, a patch of corn and a circle of watermelon :) Have started some sweet peas too. I is in love with watching things grow.
UPDATE >0.1: I have made the decision to move to Tasmania, on my way out of this house, sad to leave, but know I belong in Tas. Made an offer on some property yesterday, will know soon! My mind is in that direction, in joy.
UPDATE >0.2 : It’s now almost 4 years since I made the move to Tasmania. Boy, what a ride. I’ve started a degree in architecture and am living and breathing it. It’s never too late to follow your life’s dream.
UPDATE >0.3 : I haven’t been on this site for a long time, I’m now in my final stages of my architecture degree and have moved to Launceston to be closer to uni. I’m now working in architecture and the construction industry and have recently started a company focusing on retrofitting homes to be more comfortable.
Aaah Freya! It didn’t click haha :) Hope everything is well! Thanks for the support, I hope you enjoy the new features of your upgraded membership! Hi Freya - thanks for your question - I’ve just been using affirmations consistently for about three weeks, have played with them off and on for a couple of years. (not sure if this is the best way to reply, btw - can’t find an email function on this site, tho it seems like it would have one) And you? 44 affirmations! Guess you’ve been at it a while… -Jason
Hi Freya, I know what it like to have had so many jobs. My list of employment history is very lengthy and varied also. You are very fortunate, the Blue Mountains area is so beautiful, and so many places to meditate and soak up the view. I wish you well in your quest and it’s good to see the affirmations working for you. Good on ya mate!
Hey Freya, Your affirmation, “I create my life”, is so darn true! We have choices in life, and with these choices, are consequences. The consequences of these choices, are what you are left with, good or bad, depending on how you see them. As long as you live under a positive influence and meditate on creating your life with positive control and power, the consequences will be favourable.
In response to Judiann’s comment: Judiann,
Hi again! I love the “I create my life” affirmation too. I teach this to my son, he’s only five, but he already has a great outlook on life and his own set of affirmations (his include things like “new car”, “toys” etc LOL).
I am not a “teacher” this life. I have chosen instead, to just be. I admire those who lead and teach.
Freygan, It is great to see that someone has learnt to just be, you have learnt alot my friend. I teach, and this site is truely a beautiful site to work with. The “I create my Life” affirmation, so small yet one of the most powerful one’s that can be used, we are indeed all in control of our own live’s. some have more control and ownership than others but it is about the journey and NOT the destination that helps us grow, heal and love. In Light Sarvaga.
In response to freygan’s comment: Hi Freygan,
Your son sounds lovely, and you seem to have a “way” with him. I’m pleased that you have decided just to be you, that’s your biggest creation. Good on you. I’m sure your lovely son will grow, and learn, and love, and laugh through life, with you.
Keep yourselves in the Light! Judiann
Hey Freygan,
I’m Maria and I’m from Australia too! I live in the Hunter Valley NSW. I only joined the community this week and am saying ‘hi’ to people and introducing myself so I just thought I’d drop you a quick message and add you as a friend if that’s ok.
I love reading through all the affirmations and adding new ones to my profile. I’ve been gathering a few lately and adding my own too, it’s great. Well, it’s nice to know there’s other Aussies on here.
When you’re online next, please feel free to drop me a message on my profile. Sounds like you’ve done lots of different things in your life. Check out my website if you’re ever looking for a change and would like to make six figures in the next 12 months. I’m not sure how ambitious you are, but I show people a very simple system for achieving their income goals. I work with a company in the personal development industry and it’s awesome. Anyway, you’re welcome to check out my website anytime.
Have an awesome weekend and I hope to hear from you soon via the community!

I read your list of affirmations again and this one stuck out in my mind: “I am limitless Joy.”
It’s funny how we limit ourselves or let others limit us. I know of a chronically ill woman who limits here joy to phone calls from her children.
I am chronically ill myself and I don’t do what she does and I feel a lot of joy in my faith and religion and others around me. I find joy in my new dog Paco.
But that affirmation struck a cord in me that we can find joy in almost anything. A thought came to me that finding joy along the way also overlaps the concept of gratitude.
The more joyful we are the more grateful we are!
Fantastic list of affirmations!
“my web site is blerky, no advertising, no business card - just honest good work” HA!!! That sounds like me! I don’t promote myself at all because I have too much work without it. I use my creative mktg/pr skills for clients and really enjoy it. And new clients seem to appear when I need more work (which is usually not the case … wait list is more typical). None of my friends or family understand it and see it as a negative. sigh.
In response to ZweetGreenz’s comment:
I’m booked up till end of Jan, work over the Christmas break? Unheard of in my industry!
Don’t worry about what family think too much, do your affirmations. Hmm might make up an affirmation for dealing with negative people in my life (not that I have many now).
In response to freygan’s comment: That’s excellent! I hope you still make time for fun and relaxation over Christmas. What industry, if you don’t mind my asking?
In response to ZweetGreenz’s comment:
I’m a web developer. I usually work with designers to make things work.
It’s nice to meet like minded people who see positive affirmations as a way to enhance their life. Their is a web site out their called SilverAnimals.com that sells a product called affirmation charms. These charms help remind the person wearing them of the affirmations they are working on. There’s nothing wrong with cards and post it notes all over the walls and mirrors but these can go with you everywhere you go acting as a constant reminder.
I wish you great success in life with all your doing. Judging by the affirmations on your list you seem destined to have a good life as long as you hold on to the positive affirmations on your list.
In response to handcraftedcollectibles’s comment:
I don’t wear jewellery much these days, it irritates me unless it’s made out of natural materials like cotton, stone, leather or seeds. It’s a bit disappointing, since one of my past hobbies was silversmithing, now I have lots of silver jewels I can’t wear! But this has pushed me to expand my creativity in learning to use natural materials.
Thanks for your good vibes :)
