Hi and thanks for visiting my profile and for adding me as a friend. I look forward to getting to know all you amazing and brilliant positive affirming people. I hope we will all take this valuable site and forum, very seriously and use it to all our best advantage. I thank you for sharing your valuable affirmations and thoughts. I hope that I will be able to offer you valuable help or advice as well.

I have found, recently, through experience, that by repeating my affirmations while applying EFT ( Emotional Freedom Techniques )I feel and act more congruently with my affirmations. It has really helped me remove many blocks and replace them with the positive FEELINGS of my affirmations.

I choose to begin many of my own affirmations with something like, ‘I am in the process of… ( my affirmation here ). I do this because it was explained to me by an LOA trainer/expert that when we repeat an affirmation as if we already possess it, yet we know that we don’t, we are sending a negative vibration (doubt or honesty ) up against the positive vibration ( the affirmation )and we usually don’t get anywhere. They cancel each other out. For example; if I’m affirming that “I now weigh 180 pounds” or “I am healthy and wealthy” AND we KNOW that we are NOT, then our sub-conscience is saying ” What are crazy” or “Yeah Right” and sending out negative “vibrations” to the universe.

When we say the affirmations as if we are in the process of receiving what it is we desire, that resonates with our sub-conscience as well as our conscience mind. Therefore, when we say, ” I am in the PROCESS of finding the perfect woman/man for ME” we are congruent with that in both our mind and body. It is something we would have no problem believing. I would say that being AWARE of your FEELINGS or VOICES in your head, when you repeat the affirmation, will help you determine if the affirmation you are using, suits you.

Hi John, thanks for your notes on the threads. I practice NLP and quit often look for new technics. You mention LOA. I am not familiar with it, so I googled it. What I could find on that is ‘Loesungsorientierte Ansatz’ engl. ‘solution focused therapy’. Is that what you mean? Thanks. Wish you all the positive energy in your progress…

Hi John, I understand your sentiments about beginning your affirmations with “I am in the process of….” The danger is that you will attract “in the process of attracting” what you want which is not the same as having attracted it. (hope that makes sense)

Having said that, I think it is a great way to train newbies into using affirmations as “in the process of…” is certainly more believable therefore making it less likely they’ll quit.
