I am an accountant at a large regional hospital. I love to read & mentor others on a spiritual journey. I am working on trying to move toward more spiritual endeavors in my career. I am presently gathering information to write a book, have just started to compose a website (see above).
In the few weeks since beginning my profile and affirmations on this site, I have been well blessed in life! Although I generally enjoyed my job, I have since been given a wonderful opportunity within my department to move my skills to different areas. This is a very positive change in my life and a definite step in right direction - as I feel these are two of my strongest skills - training/teaching others & computer systems management!
1/1/08 I have just added another page to my website, where I am listing my affirmations by category. Feel free to take a look and let me know what you think! May 2008 be the best year of your life!!
Hi Nannasc,
I’m Maria from Australia and I’m new to this community so am putting myself out there and saying ‘hi’ to people. That’s awesome that you are pursuing your dreams of writing a book - congrats! I love your affirmations, they are brilliant!
Feel free to post a message on my profile when you’re online next :)
Maria
Thanks, Ain, for your comments! I see that you are a student. What are you studying? Using the positive thinking while in a learning mode is a wonderful thing to do - as you are much more receptive to new ideas & more open to learning new things!
Welcome to the Bmindful community! I have been working on this positive thinking/Law of Attraction/Positive affirmations for about a year now. It is just amazing at the changes that have taken place in my life during that time.
Keep up your work - may only the best be in your future!
hi nannasc, thanks for your comments..i’m studying Bachelor’s Degree,Arts of English, from Universiti Putra Malaysia. i have read a bit about positive thinking, law of attraction and positive affirmation..but, i don’t know how far it works on me bcause i still don’t know how to apply in my life..i hope u can explain a bit how does it works on u and how to start it..
Feel free to contact me further if you have any more questions or wish to discuss this further. There are many good books and sources of information on this subject if you like to read - or even listen to audiobooks or view DVD movies.
Probably the best information about the Law of Attraction can be found the on the website, http://www.abraham-hicks.com/. Another good source is the movie - The Secret. Basically, what we think about most is what we attract into our lives. What is in our lives now is brought about by our thoughts. So, if you wish to change an area of your life and find yourself thinking something negative, you need to move from negative emotions (fear, hate, jealousy) up to more positive thoughts. This can be reinforced greatly by using affirmations for areas that you wish to address.
Another key factor is gratitude. We must be grateful for what we have in our lives - all things. For with every problem in life there is a hidden lesson that can help us in life. We have to seek that lesson in all things. With an open & positive mind, it is easier to see.
Here is some information straight from the Abraham-Hicks website:
1. You are a creator; you create with your every thought.
You often create by default, for you are getting what you are giving your attention to wanted or unwanted but you know by how it feels if what you are getting (creating) is what you are wanting or if it is not what you are wanting. (Where is your attention focused?)
Anything that you can imagine is yours to be or do or have.
As you ask yourself why you want it, the essence of your desire is activated, and the Universe begins to bring it to you. The more intense your positive feelings, the faster it is coming to you. (It is as easy to create a castle as a button.)
You are choosing your creations as you are choosing your thoughts.
Your loving Inner Being offers guidance in the form of emotion. Entertain a wanted or unwanted thought and you feel a wanted or unwanted emotion. Choose to change the thought and you’ve changed the emotion and the creation. (Make more choices in every day.)
You are a creator of thoughtways on your unique path of joy.
No one can limit where you can direct your thought. There are no limits to your joyous journeys to experience. On the path to your happiness you will discover all that you want to be or do or have. (Allowing others their experiences allows you yours.)
In response to Philip’s comment: Thanks! Best of luck in your journey with positive affirmations!
In response to Leana’s comment: The same to you!
Hi Nannasc, I have certainly benefitted from reading your wonderfully chosen affirmations. Your chosen path to become a metaphysical speaker and writer is a mighty aspiration ~ my mother made a similar life decision and utilized her psychic gifts to help others. She was able to support three kids as a single mother doing readings. You go, girl! I love that those of us who enjoy affirmations are busy creating positive change in our lives. Without even trying, we impact others and the world around us as we strive to maximize our potential. Please keep adding those great affirmations as they really help me.
Hi nannasc,I just visited you’re website, what a wonderful place to visit,it’s beautiful.I hope you don’t mind me commenting on you’re son’s bipolar.I just want you to know that there is actually quite few things you can do,along w/ the meds. The doctors probably wont tell you this, but diet and chemicals are a big factor w/ any kind of immunodeficiency, because thats what it is.You’re son’s immune system is compromised, and anything unnatural in you’re sons life is going to affect him in a negative way.One of the worst problems in this world is the electricity. You might want to check out the website Earthcalm.com.They have helped me when nothing else did.If you are interested in what you can do,let me know.Again,I hope I’m not sticking my nose where it’s not wanted.Love and Peace to you and you’rs.Dawn
Hi,it’s been awhile since we talked, just thought I’d stop by and see how you and your son are.I found another program you might be interested in,it’s called sleeptracks.I just started using it about two weeks ago,I can’t believe how much better I’m sleeping. The creator claims it also helps ADD.I know I’m able to think better and I have more energy now that I’m sleeping better.Well,I hope all is well with you and yours. Dawn
In response to ladybug’s comment: I would love to hear more about sleeptracks. I often have problems sleeping.
Thanks for asking about my son - he is still struggling. But he is on the list for housing and has gotten food stamps started. So things are much better for now. Just hope the housing comes through soon.
Namaste Nannasc. Thank you for your delightful message. The end-of-life segment of our journey is rich and full of everything that is absolutely priceless, beautiful, and good. Illusions fall away and clarity prevails. I am quite sure I receive more than I can possibly give; or at least that’s how it seems much of the time. So happy to hear that your life was enriched and blessed during the last three years of your parents lives. I hope you continue to make regular visits to the Assisted Living Facility. Your presence makes a beautiful difference for everyone you visit. So glad our paths have connected. Until next time, Gracey, aka, Pat
I laughed when I read your profile… Not because it was funny, but it scared me how similar we sound. I am about your age and spent 17 years as an accountant and business analyst working with financial software systems. Fairly happy in an unconscious way… Then, in a state of total unhappiness, I learned about the metaphysical world, affirmations, unique spirituality, New Age, etc. It was like coming home to a comfortable pair of slippers. It just fit!
I loved your website. It reminds me of Sedona, Arizona. My two oldest children live in Phoenix, so I love to visit that area.
Good luck, peace & happiness! Thank you for sharing your story.
