FEBRUARY 2010 Three "Little Things" In Life You Enjoy

Just had a random thought about something positive to think about :)

Name three “little” things in life that you really just enjoy so much.

1. Going grocery shopping – I actually LOVE doing this on days when it’s not crazy and crowded. Something about picking out fresh food for a delicious meal that makes me so happy (perhaps the underlying gratitude that I’m able to have such a thing?)

2. Seeing a person smile back at you first thing in the morning. Great way to start the day!

3. Saying “Hi” to my best friend practically everyday. It’s things like this that keep our friendship going strong!

BTW – feel free to come in and add to your list. Don’t limit yourself to three! :)

1. wool socks cos my fee are always cold
2. herbal teas
3. spooning with my husband on the couch
4. sunrises
5. sunsets
6. the smell of peonies

1. Laying down and having my kitty sit on my tummy purring. There is something so calming about listening to my cat purr.

2. Reading a good book that captures my attention so deeply that I lose track of time.

3. Watching my children sleep. They look like little angels – and its the only time they are quiet!! :)

I am living in many dimensions at once; the appearance of being trapped in time and space is only an illusion.

My husband had double knee replacement surgery 6 weeks ago. Prior to this he was unable to walk without a cane and was in incredible pain. His legs were so weak that they had to be straightened before inserting his new knees and his upper thighs had begun to atrophy.

Today he is able to walk almost exclusively with his cane and should be able to walk unassisted within 6-8 weeks.

We actually went out for a short ride yesterday for the first time in weeks and tomorrow he will resume coming with me on our errands.

I am grateful:

That the things we took for granted are now moments to treasure
I have my fun partner in crime shopping with me again
Every precious moment we are together

1. My kid’s giggles
2. Snow storms!!
3. naps

1. hot water bottles
2. fresh air
3. good friends

1. surprise gifts!
2. great co-workers
3. snuggling with my dog
