★Giving & Receiving

  • 2013-03-25-032513_ILLUSION_webopt-thumb.jpg

Here are some things I found the other day as food for thought:

    • I’ll start with 1 view from the Talmud.
The Talmud discusses 8 levels of giving. Here is a list from ***least to most charitable***

1. Giving begrudgingly
2. Giving less that you should, but giving it cheerfully.
3. Giving after being asked
4. Giving before being asked
5. Giving when you do not know the recipient’s identity, but the recipient knows your identity
6. Giving when you know the recipient’s identity, but the recipient doesn’t know your identity
7. Giving when neither party knows the other’s identity
8. Enabling the recipient to become self-reliant

I do the “pick and mix” thing with books too(:

BE YOU

said simply… the more you give the more you get….. so if we want financial wealth lets be generous… even tho I knew that intellectually, it wasn’t until I internalized it that I began to see it work…. Kathy

Last night, I ran my hand along the book shelf to ‘pick and mix’ something to read before bedtime.
I came across some loose paper wedged between two books. It was a list of Goals I had written during a time when I could not see the wood for the trees. I started my affirmation journey, as many did after reading the many books about ‘the secret’ – though I had been reading similar literature years before that, this was the book that actually got me to right stuff down.
Before I tell you what I found I will just highlight the basic principles:
Writing positive things down in one column/crossing negative things out on the opposite column

Know no limits – don’t think of how you will get there just believe in exactly what you want

Gratitude

On each page there were lists referring to different areas of my life – financial, health, relationships, family etc and there was one thing that was on each of those lists in one way or another:

“The perfect wedding”
“To have plenty of money for the perfect trimmings for our wedding”
“To re-unite all our family at our wedding”
“To form lasting relationships with my in-laws” and it went on……

Meditating Mama and Laurie will remember this time, just over a year ago – my wedding had been cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control and we were in a very unsure predicament.
Well, On April 10th 2010 we HAD the perfect wedding – beyond my wildest dreams. We somehow had the money, were given financial assistance from all directions and our family were all under one roof on the most perfect day of our lives!

There were other things on the goal list too – all of which are true today….other things that are on the verge of being true.

So, with Gratitude in mind and heart – I began adding to that list – with no boundaries as to HOW or WHY or DO I DESERVE? Etc – I just put down my innermost desires. I snuck it back in-between those books to re-visit in another 6 months or so. Some of the goals are more immediate – but I trust the process. I manifested before, so I can do it again! The change in my attitude is amazing (even the way I used to write was a little uncertain) Not any more!!!
Go ahead – re-visit some of those basic principles – IT WORKS IF YOU WORK IT!!

A full and thankful heart..

Hi Laurie… thanks for all the insights….. I am going to print them and keep them close by…. thank you so much…. Kathy
