SUMMER 21★★NEWEST★★ Self Care DuringDifficultTime

Self Care During a Difficult Time
Hello community,

As open as I am with affirmations and feelings …I am not comfortable sharing specifics on the internet. Though in the spirit of self care and doing what works, I will simply say I am going thru a hard time, even though individuals have kindly been proud of my efforts each day.

So to get to the point of this post, I would like to ask for support for the basics - eating when not hungry, remembering to stay hydrated when you don’t know if you are thirsty, etc

Thank you in advance.

would it help to make yourself a little chart or small cards that you put somewhere you will keep seeing them

On them you could write simple things like ;

"have a glass of cool water"

"eat something fresh - a little salad or a piece of fruit"

"rest with a cool cloth/cucumber slices on your eyes"

"connect to nature - outside or online"

sending you love ,hugs and hope for peace of mind in the future

Thank you, it helps very much, Flowergirl

In response to ♡ ˚A Healing Ocean Breeze's post:

If you like yogurt, you can buy individual servings, so you can have variety. You could add frozen fruits like berries to make it  cool and refreshing. You could add a small 1/2 cup of granola or seeds to make it crunchy.

Keep fresh salad with salad toppings around and you could buy a few pieces of baked chicken to slice up to add to the salad, or add avocado.

You could make and bake quiche, then cut it up into individual servings and freeze it until you're ready. Make different flavors. Or buy it pre-made, then cut it up into individual servings.

“Radical Acceptance is the ability to face hardships with greater love and deeper awareness.
Contemplation shapes radical acceptance as a way to choose love and peace over anger and despair.
Begin by finding this within ourselves before helping others.

In response to ♡ ˚A Healing Ocean Breeze's post:I try to keep small snacks available. Things that provide protein like boiled eggs, nuts. Glucerna or Ensure are good meal substitutes. Cheese sticks, baby carrots, pita chips with hummus is also nice.

Words are like seeds. When you write them out, they grow into your dreams and spark the imagination of others.

Today I will stay hydrated, eat foods that my body welcomes and feel peacefully encouraged all day.

some tips I can give you is to drink water when you feel like eating but are not hungry. perhaps your hunger and thirst have been confused one for another. eat up more veggies and fruits that can fill you up for some time as a snack. eat them before a meal and wait at least half an hour.

do not mix too much carbs with too much proteins in one meal. it can be hard to digest it then. you can eat carbs and proteins in one day but just make sure you make space between the two different meals if that makes sense. cheers
