When I show caring for others it causes a ripple effect. When I speak of the Ripple Effect I am not suggesting the euphoric effect of drinking cheap wine, but rather more like the ocean waves as they never end their cycle of moving in and out. It is the reciprocal kindness that occurs between people and is observed by others and they in turn commit to sharing kind acts and deeds just as much as those who are touched by the kindness they experience. The wave of kindness ever increases as it spreads throughout the universe.
Kindness
An unexpected gift arrives at your door
One of simplicity or complexity
It matters not, nor who its sender be
By touching deeply a ripple occurs
Exploding kindness in the air
And is breathed in by passers by
They in turn act kindly as the pandemic
Spreads kindness uncontrollably
Infecting without an antidote.
The Ripple Effect of Kindness/Hope
What is hope?
A wish, a dream
An intention?
Rhythmic waves washing ashore
Into the hearts of men
Rescuing us from drowning
In our own selfishness
A soothing, comforting effect
A gift unexpected from another
Concentric circles rippling forth
Never ending from a kind deed
Returning to the sender
In a most unusual way
It is kindness in the face of despair
That gives hope to the world.
