Fundamentals
Let’s remember the importance of the fundamentals. We sometimes become so familiar with an idea or concept we take it for granted. I know I am guilty of this, but was just reminded of it by a tape I was listening to. The importance of it hit me so hard that I added the word “Fundamentals” to my bulletin board and decided to get out of bed and add this post. I have been neglecting the fundamentals lately. I am in the middle of reading so many books that I have “excused” myself from doing them to my own detriment. I’m going to get back on track with my fundamentals.
What are the fundamentals?
To me, they are: Daily Affirmations, Journaling, Exercise, Quiet Time, Talking to myself in the mirror, Planning, 80/20.
What are some of YOUR fundamentals?
Why are the fundamentals so important?
How do you know they are important?
Please share your thoughts.

I agree I have similar fundamentals, I also have visualization and talking to my partner about any problems I face, I let them out.

-agree with MCM 80/20 and prioritizing to do what I can when I can to make life work (better)
-Eating well, (often and healthy)
-Exercise
-Relationships and nurturing them
-Learning (formally and informally)

I love your fundamentals Laurie many of them are fundamental for me too.
Thanks MCM for a great thread. I like going back to basics once in a while. Its so important to find that grounding again.
Top of my list is gratitude and prayer sorta goes hand in hand.
I love laurie’s description of affirmations – CLAIMING THE GOOD IS ALREADY MINE So well put.
Acceptance
Love (nurturing self/self love comes in with this)
Hope (always believing in better)
Meditation (reflection or simply stopping in time and space to recalibrate energies)
A full and thankful heart..

Hi MCM – one of THE most Fundamental people on this site!!!
I had another fundamental moment come to me just now and thought I would share….
SMILING! :o)
Its amazing how a simple gesture, like smiling, can reinforce and attract goodness in all forms.
-better responses when you are asking someone to do something for you.
…and better results.
- you feel better accepting the same back (service with a smile) a positive attitude to ANY task no matter how big or small.
-Dealing with unkind behaviour graciously. By smiling at the one who is doing the hurting, you are dissolving that negative karma!
And I bet theres more reasons to smile…??
A full and thankful heart..
