Has anyone used affirmations for help in moving on fromhouses, relationships etc .
I have just read a fantastic book by Sarah Ban Breathnac called Moving On , i bought it from Amazon at a silly low price because i love her Simple Abundance book .
She has gone through divorce ,house moves etc and explains so much about feeling stuck and how to use the 6 Simple Abundance principles ;
gratitude
simplicity
order
harmony
beauty
joy
listen to this folks
“the way a woman feels about her home reflcts every bit of this emotional baggage .It is what is felt in a home that nurtures a womans heart or shatters her soul .
This explains why my heart sinks when i walk in our house ,its a storehouse of hurt feelings ,sadness, illness that we have felt in the 15 years we have been here ,and feelings left behind from the people who lived here before us who were very unhappy.
So im going to choose one of my affirmations concerning our home today and focus on that .

today im going to carry on with a major declutter that i started half heartedly a while ago .There are 2 thoughts im keeping at the front of my mind
1) from now until we move gives me the time do do the healing work on myself so that im not taking the locked in old feelings from things in the past
2) the thought of moving gives me the motivation to clear through years of stuff i have used to insulate myself from moving forwards
When im ready for moving the right house will appear, at the moment it would take us a week to pack as theres so much stuff .We also need to decorate and do some repairs .
I know the universe will lead us to our new home at the right time ,in the right area .love flowergirl

Inspirational I love the things you refer to. Very helpful things to consider. The part that inspires me the most is you!
I found this too. Something I liked from a clutterdietblog with some items by Brian Tracy They fall in line with your thread, but the book you have sounds inviting.
As much as like simplicity..I too hang on to various kinds of things which let me have a taste of the visual memory..that gives me additional comfort from all kinds of memorable times. I associate memorabilia of some sort from what I love, that can make simplicity a bit complex(: I will check out the book you love a lot…and see what I can get out of it. Thank you(:
My hubby and I make part of our week a time for decluttering..because we both enjoy goofy remnants from things we’ve enjoyed. It is so comforting going to the trash bin or giving things to others who can now enjoy stuff we really no longer ‘need’ Thanks for your post. Thanks for you.
Lots of love flowergirl(:

hi RRFS ,thanks for your kind words ,i am a fan of this ladys books since i saw her on Oprah years ago .She reminds us to cherish those moments – a cup of tea in a pretty cup and saucer, the first snowdrops, daffodils in a jug .
I am very sentimental and have kept every card and drawing from my kids ,their first shoes, etc so i have boxes full to go through but im going to make a memory box for each one and put some pictures into scapbooks then they really are treasures rather than having about 10 storage boxes full that i never look at .
I love that word goofy ,its good to hear of a couple as close as you are .

hi coachhouse ,thanks for your kindness , i think its about listening to what you are telling yourself ,then looking at your affirmations and the distance between was getting too big for me . .When i read mine and visualise my life that way it gives such a feeling of peace .

Flowergirl, this is what I believe it is truly all about…starts and “stops”. I just don’t believe what we call a “stop” is truly that at all. It is a pause….(smiles)
You are an inspiration…because you always pick yourself up from any point…forgive yourself for where you ‘thought’ you should be…and accept yourself yourself where you’re at. We can only move forward from where we truly are. I lov ya! You are always tremendous. Keep on going…You know what you are doing…I applaud you!
