Years ago I posted this thread and I am wondering if anyone has continued doing RAK’s? I am more convinced than ever being kind to others brings unlimited kindness back to the giver.

Words are like seeds. When you write them out, they grow into your dreams and spark the imagination of others.

Thank you Poppy for creating a page 2
This was a great idea before & very welcome now.

I have relearned as I take good care of me intentionally, I am
more easily able to give to
others spontaneously
As I prepare to return to the work force - the only way I can even desire to do that … is to remember who I am in the area of service … how like you said gives to the giver - in ways that are over the top …& feeds the soul .

Thanks for posting this!
Yes, I agree: doing RAK's definitely plant fruit bearing seeds - and those seeds of kindness come back many times over!
I rescued a litter of kittens in end of 4/2023. That was the end of my first semester, and little did I know - those kittens really turned into vital little Demi Gods to my Cosmo-Cosmo kitty and to myself. I resuced 4 kittens plus their mother. The mother got spade, and Cosmo, who is 22 years old - he got promoted to PaPa Cosmo! I kept 2 of the 4 kittens. I kept MyHe, the Seal Point Siamese and his jet black sister, Jade. Jade truly had superior intelligence over all the cats, including Cosmo! She is quite the Lepard, total top tier Ninja. She is the complete deal... OMG, did she fall in Love with PaPa Cosmo, and he still is whelmed with the power of her intrigue... and she is very powerful!
Over time, I ended up taking care of the Mother of the kittens. I call her Mama. She refused to help me name her anything, so I just kept Mama. So, Mama is 1 of the dominant females in a pride of 5 cats. There are 4 females and 1 male. I feel the 5 outdoor cats every evening, before the sun goes down. Then I check on them around midnight, and I do foot patrol. I stamp around, collar and call the cats, make myself known to the raccoons and possum. And - I make sure to have enough of a presence to let the Coyotes know that this pride is protected. I call on the Fish and Wildlife Department, and I ask for flea medicine and de-wormed, and I feed and water them twice a day, and they relax and they eat in peace when I'm there. I stay until their dinner is done, then I clean their fed bowls, and I hose down their food area, chase off all other critters, make sure Coyotes stay out.

That is pure love!
thanks for sharing, Life is about making excellent choices!
I mentioned recently about coming into contact with many community resources for myself … Though, a highlight of this is I am sharing with others who have experienced quite a bit and tonight - I was able to do that again
grateful to give !

Thank you!
These cats are precious!
They deserve a permanent, loving home and they would have their best life possible if they bonded with a human family or single individual.
Life is wonderful and animals need humans, and humans need animals!

it’s great that you were able to share their contact info!
Its awesome!
This re-enforces my belief in the goodness of our generation.
Its not just our generation; its the goodness of others who care enough to share; and they share what they have!
When I was little, my mother talked about what it was like to survive the 1930’s in the Great Depression. Her mother was good to many strangers. Every time someone knocked and asked for food, water or any work — she never turned away someone who was hungry. She would cook them 2 eggs and toast, and they could stay outside to eat, and leave their dish when they were done.
My Mom taught me that those who have should give to those who have not. She told me to never turn away someone who had no food.
i am grateful that she taught me to be decent and kind!

That is a beautiful story about your mom & what it taught you .
I also don’t believe people should be without a meal.
So much depends on proper nutrition .
I wish more people took the time not to just fill their bellies , though cared about what they ingest.
I also wish - with that in mind - that they helped others eat with the wisdom they take in about nutrition. Imagine the world - Real health… clarity & the greater ability to pay it forward.
I checked in on someone I was helping .. & she went to a food bank . She was one of the last ones in line at a food bank - almost nothing left … and they weren’t very kind either … she said. She is older senior … and it didn’t sadden me.. bc I know there are dysfunctional people everywhere… It just made me want to help her find kinder /better resources ( treating others with respect & dignity)
I won’t go into her needs - I just know no matter how we hear about the woes of the world- it just takes 1 kind heart to help another .
It is my hope - those who are reading this - do what they can to share what they can - when they hear someone is in need of a healthy meal …
& Do not give up hope
.. help others find informed resources
(Don’t give up hope)
