★8 Ways To Connect [DR. ANDREW WEIL]

Feeling whole and connected to the Earth and others takes effort, but it is rewarding work. By bringing your focus outside of yourself, you will learn to reach out to people and to the world around you in positive ways. Giving of yourself, from spending time with friends and those in need to taking care of the environment or a companion animal, also promotes positive interaction.

Here are eight steps to help you get connected:

I AM
Peaceful:
Emotions, Sensations ,
& Feelings

What I,ve heard from someone years ago,I think it was Wayne Dyer that said,“you can still love yourself and have compassion for yourself even
if you are perhaps, addicted to something“and the more I thought about
that statement,I said to myself,that I have a few choices,a)I can
continue to hate myself because I,m not abstaining from the cigarettes,or food or any of the several dozen potential vices.
b)I could decide I,ve had enough of this addiction and I think it,s
time I find a way to quit.c)I could continue with the addiction and be
gentle with myself, and just nuture and respect myself, knowing that it will run it,s course, and all the self criticism, could be adding fuel
to the fire, that I know I,m eventually gonna have to exstinguish anyway.
Option c is the one I,ve went with over the years.
Usually addiction starts out as lots of fun)then it becomes fun and
also trouble)then mostly trouble, misery and self destruction.
Then recovery, hope, gratitude and another one of lifes storms weathered.

“To boldly and or vulnerably go where no one has gone before”
