Consider Plato’s words. Don’t they still ring true?
I recommend listening to these in the order I listed them – that is how they go in The Republic.
You will be amazed by how much of this is reflected in today’s world.
Don’t we kind of live in a tyrannical, oligarchy that grew out of democracy run amok? You know, the US is supposed to be a Republic, but it isn’t anymore is it?
One thing that I think that is really neat about Plato’s Republic, it’s a famous work, but, obviously not everyone has read it or even has a desire to, is that it is Socrates that is speaking in the work. If you click on the links and listen to them the person who is supposed to be speaking is Socrates. Pretty neat, huh? Well, it is to me anyway and I just wanted to share that with you guys.
