June ‘22★★Newest★★Supportive Series of Let’s Talk-Resilience & Self Care

I am going to keep this simple because simplicity is the way I like it.

Grief is quite a ride and so are many other things in life.
Let’s talk about the things that really help us. I know it will be useful to me and hoping it will be helpful to others.

Wherever we are is right where we are supposed to be:

My definition of greatness

is to be greater than your environment,

to be greater than your body,

and to be greater than time.

And if you do, you will be great.

I mean, that’s it!” – Dr. Joe Dispenza

What I learned today … is I just don’t know everything I learned today …

and I learned that’s okay.

Grief is a process, and you never know what will trigger something … and it can be very depleting . The worst thing I have understood is to discount the experience. It is very normal especially in the early stages of grief.

When I cry it is very depleting. Though guess what? That is not the bad part. The bad part is not giving myself a break for not being where I want to be. Now that just creates insult to injury…. literally.

I literally need lists like you wouldn’t believe to make sure my basics are being respected. This thread is about giving ourselves a break though become brilliant on our own unique basics.

As dark as things sometimes get for clear and at times not so clear reasons.  Out of fragility our strength will eventually make a comeback.

In response to ♡ ˚memorable solid resilience's post:

Let's Talk Resilience and Self care:

You've chosen a very valuable and worthy topic.

The rules are different when it comes to grief and grieving.

Resilience is found, but the grief process takes so much energy, and the process requires that we face and transform all of one's life, when you are breathlessly trying to hold on tightly to love.

Resiliency is a necessary and a natural gift that changes moment to moment. Theorists have studied the stages of grief, and these theories are helpful in that these passages are identifiable and being able to understand and communicate the loss, confusion, the incompleteness, the pain, its intensity and the need to process the love as well as the impact of the loss.

Resiliency is built, it is created, it is crafted and it is spontaneous, just as if you were being reformed, knowing that you will never be the same.

“Radical Acceptance is the ability to face hardships with greater love and deeper awareness.
Contemplation shapes radical acceptance as a way to choose love and peace over anger and despair.
Begin by finding this within ourselves before helping others.

In response to Joy Grows here's post:

thank you, Kathi.
that is beautiful!

The reality is that you will grieve forever. You will not ‘get over’ the loss of a loved one; you’ll learn to live with it. You will heal and you will rebuild yourself around the loss you have suffered. You will be whole again but you will never be the same. Nor should you be the same nor would you want to.
