It is my opinion, there is a fear of cockiness that keeps people from valuing who they are and what they appreciate about themselves.
Oh yes, there is also the 'infamous-other'
The 'others' somewhere in your energy field you let in that are noisily/ or inconspicuously addressing you disrespectfully
You then realize this is the contrast ... which moves you into those better places that has you meet and greet yourself in only the best of ways.
