heres mine today ,just watching a programme about the fantastic Abba and this one touched my soul ,love flowergirl
oops forgot the link
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVnMDYSaYA4
Thanks for posting, fg! Did you know that you can make you link a “live” link by putting some text between a couple of quotes and then follow that directly with a colon and then pasting the address right after the colon.
Give it a try sometime if you feel like it. I may not be very good at explaining, but I’d be happy to help you learn how to do it if you have any trouble.
You’d put in something like
“Abba Song”
then right after that second quotation mark you would put the colon
Then you would follow that colon with
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVnMDYSaYA4
no spaces between anything
What you would wind up with would look like this
Abba Song
All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.
— Gandalf, J.R.R. Tolkien
I’m Alright
Life Less Ordinary
thanks cookieman ,this is just a try
“Beatles song “http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6tV11acSRk
did I miss something out
ok, lets try again,
You would type this
“Beatles Song”
then right after that without any spaces you would put a colon
now, right after the colon you put the address
In your example the colon would be followed by
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6tV11axSRk
see, the first part is
“Beatles Song”:
then right after the colon is the address. You can use copy and paste and just put the address right after the colon.
I’ll test it out.
——
okay, so I tested that address you have and it didn’t work.
I’m going to test another one.
Together I’m sure that We Can Work it Out
“Beatles Song”:
Okay, so I tried several times to make one with the address you have and I could never get a page to come up with that address. Try again and see if you can get one to work. I’m sure it’s something simple and once you get one to work you will go “oh, I see now”!
All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.

No need to apologize, FG. It’s not a rule! It’s just an option. When I copied and pasted that address though, it didn’t open up a video for me. It just opened up the youtube main page. What was the video you wanted to post. I don’t mind doing it for you, I’ve done it so many times I can do it without thinking. Is a liver bird someone from Liverpool or something like that?

This is one of my favorite songs, it reminds me of my mother. She loved this song so much. It’s in Spanish. It means “swear to me” about a woman who loves her man with all her heart she asks him to swear to her that he will never cheat on her. She cannot even fathom the thought of him being with another woman.

wonderful song and I can see why my daughter loves this man
just found another canon cd ,I could listen to this music all day and night
this song means a lot to me today as I have been doing some emotional digging and healing and yesterday was a bit stuck .
today I heard a wood pigeon and thought of this song and I’m back on course moving forwards .
The Pigeon is the totem of goals, focus and perseverance. This unassuming bird holds the qualities of home, security and maternal instincts. Those with this totem have often experienced unsettling childhood’s and are constantly challenged to find security and clarity in all areas of their lives. The Pigeon totem assists us to find the stability and home that has been lost to us in the past. The Pigeons gift to us is the ability to accomplish through our attunement with the nature. If a Pigeon has come to you, it’s message is to set clear goals and to keep your sights and sensitivities focused on where you want to be. Do not be concerned with HOW you will get there, only how it will look or be when you arrive
Once you get to know Twain, you’ll never be the same.

FG, your “Power of One” post made me think of The Power of Two
I think you’ll like it. Back when I used to play we did this song. And that make me think of Love Song for a Savior ‘cause it’s another one of those sorta obscure tunes we used to do. I think you might like it too. Here is Jackopierce doing Three of Us in a Boat it’s another one of those neat little songs that I like for some reason. my brother who is 4 years older had all their early albums and used to get so angry with me borrowing them – I can see why now .He also has the Beatles, Rolling Stones and lots of others
Here are a couple songs I want to share today.
Ooh Child
Ooh-oo child, things are gonna get easier
Ooh-oo child, things’ll get brighter
Ooh-oo child, things are gonna get easier
Ooh-oo child, things’ll be brighter
Some day, yeah
We’ll put it together and we’ll get it all done
Some day
When your head is much lighter
Some day, yeah
We’ll walk in the rays of a beautiful sun
Some day
When the world is much brighter
I’ve been waiting on the sunset
Bills on my mindset
I can’t deny they’re getting high
Higher than my income
Incomes bread crumbs
I’ve been trying to survive
The glow that the sun gets
Right around sunset
Helps me realize
This is just a journey
Drop your worries
You are gonna turn out fine.
Oh, you turn out fine.
Fine, oh, you turn out fine.
But you gotta keep your head up, oh,
And you can let your hair down, eh.
You gotta keep your head up, oh,
And you can let your hair down, eh.

Did you know that JD Souther is on the television show Nashville? I started watching that show with very low expectations, but I actually like it. It’s shallow as all get out, but, dang it, I like it. It’s about as deep as Dallas, as in J.R. and Sue Ellen. And what was that other show way back a long time ago? The one with Blake Carrington and Alexis? It ain’t Shakespeare, but, dang it, I like it.

Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood Santa Esmerelda Version.
That makes me feel passionate. Here’s a little more passion for ya…
Passion, Grace & Fire
Children of Sanchez
Without dreams of hope and pride a man will die
Though his flesh still moves his heart sleeps in the grave
Without land man never dreams cause he’s not free
All men need a place to live with dignity.
Take the crumbs from starving soldiers, They won’t die
Lord said not by bread alone does man survive
Take the food from hungry children, they won’t cry
Food alone won’t ease the hunger in their eyes.
Every child belongs to mankind’s family
Children are the fruit of all humanity
Let them feel the love of all the human race
Touch them with the warmth, the strength of that embrace.
Give me love and understanding, I will thrive
As my children grow my dreams come alive
Those who hear the cries of children. God will bless
I will always hear the Children of Sánchez.

You guys ever heard of the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville. That place was in a movie before and is in the television show Nashville. Well, I tried to play there once, but didn’t get to. I was in Nashville with a friend of mine, a musician I used to play with, and we went to the Bluebird on songwriters night. To play, at least back then (I don’t know if the way they do it now is still the same) you showed up and put your name in a hat with the other songwriters who want to perform. Unfortunately (maybe fortunate for the audience) our names didn’t get drawn. Just wanted to tell you that little story.

Nice one!
Here’s a good one for you guys – That’s Life
That’s life, that’s what people say.
You’re riding high in April,
Shot down in May.
But I know I’m gonna change their tune,
When I’m right back on top in June.
That’s life, funny as it seems.
Some people get their kicks,
Steppin’ on dreams
But I just can’t let it get me down,
Cause this big old world keeps spinnin’ around.
I’ve been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate,
A poet, a pawn and a king.
I’ve been up and down and over and out
But I know one thing:
Each time I find myself flat on my face,
I pick myself up and get back in the race.
That’s life, I can’t deny it,
I thought of quitting,
But my heart just won’t buy it.
Cause if I didn’t think it was worth a try,
I’d have to roll myself up in a big ball and die.

Well, I guess we’re not – at least not any more psychically connected that we are with anyone else, lol – ‘cause I never heard THAT Even Now before. You guys are makin’ me laugh out loud!
I don’t know why, but these songs popped in my mind.
Cars
The Robots
Rapture
Fab Five Freddie told me everybody’s fly
DJ’s spinning I said my, my
Flash is fast, Flash is cool
Francois sais pas, Flashe no deux
And you don’t stop, sure shot
Go out to the parking lot
And you get in your car and you drive real far
And you drive all night and then you see a light
And it comes right down and lands on the ground
And out comes a man from Mars
And you try to run but he’s got a gun
And he shoots you dead and he eats your head
And then you’re in the man from Mars
You go out at night, eatin’ cars
You eat Cadillacs, Lincolns too
Mercuries and Subarus
And you don’t stop, you keep on eatin’ cars
Then, when there’s no more cars
You go out at night and eat up bars where the people meet
Face to face, dance cheek to cheek
One to one, man to man
Dance toe to toe
Don’t move too slow, ‘cause the man from Mars
Is through with cars, he’s eatin’ bars
Yeah, wall to wall, door to door, hall to hall
He’s gonna eat ‘em all
Rapture, be pure
Take a tour, through the sewer
Don’t strain your brain, paint a train
You’ll be singin’ in the rain
I said don’t stop, do punk rock

I Know There’s an Answer
by The Beach Boys
—————————
I know so many people who think they can do it alone
They isolate their heads and stay in their safety zones
Now what can you tell them
And what can you say that won’t make them defensive
I know there’s an answer
I know now but I have to find it by myself
They come on like they’re peaceful
But inside they’re so uptight
They trip through their day
And waste all their thoughts at night
Now how can I come on
And tell them the way that they live could be better
I know there’s an answer
I know now but I have to find it by myself
Now how can I come on
And tell them the way that they live could be better
I know there’s an answer
I know now but I have to find it by myself

Up by Jason Mraz, Life Is Good
(From the US. fall tour)
Lyrics
A little like Gene Wilder now coming out of the tower now
In a glass elevator that could take you all the way to the sky
Ain’t trying to fool you now got nothing to lose no how
So be in it with the limitless image of the intimate
thinking what you’re getting is love
All you need is love
Ain’t it nice to get out of here?
Already out of the atmosphere
Well if the glass doesn’t shatter but it wouldn’t really matter
It’s the love that is lifting us up
All you need is love
We’re going up, up, up flying away
We’re taking the higher route taking the ceiling out
We’re going up; we’re flying away
Never coming down; we’re living it up, living it up!
What happens when your light goes out?
No one there to give you mouth to mouth
Don’t let the breakdown jump on your acclaim that a brother be a hero now
Cause I know you know because once you know you’ll always know
It’s your own, your own, your own love that gets you where you want to go
We’re going up, up, up flying away
We’re taking the higher route taking the ceiling out
We’re going up; we’re flying away
Never coming down; we’re living it up, we’re living it up!
Yeah, we’re living it up, living it up
You know that it’s good cause only good love when it’s really love
You can just love, love, love anything it’s your destiny
A little like Gene Wilder now coming out of the tower now
In a glass elevator that could take you all the way to the sky
We’re going up; we’re flying away
We’re taking the higher route we’re taking the ceiling out
We’re going up; we’re flying away
Never coming down; because we’re living it up, living it up!
We’re up flying away
We’re taking the higher route taking the ceiling out
We’re going up; we’re flying away
Never coming down; because we’re living it up, living it up
Living it up, living it up
