At the risk of offending…
Just thinking at the keyboard – what is the logical end result of the policies of the left? Unless you live on Mars with Paul Krugman it is the collapse of the monetary system. Now, what is achieved by this? Well, one thing I can tell you for certain is that it does not elevate the poor to prosperity. It does destroy the middle class, so in one sense it makes us all equal, but even that isn’t true. It creates two classes, an ultra-rich class and a class that lives in abject poverty. So, dear lefty, your rhetoric about social justice is either a lie or foolish ideology. If you are on the left are you one of the ones who is just lying or one of the ones who hasn’t really thought things out? Paul Krugman isn’t the smartest guy in the room. Neither is Obama. Is your ego so inflated that you would rather cling to a course of certain economic ruin than admit that maybe you should rethink things? Obama will go down with the ship before he will admit that his ideology is wrong. How many will continue to lap up the vomit? Oh, and let me be clear – the republicans are as much to blame for the mess we find ourselves in as the democrats. My television is off, but I don’t have to turn it on to know that as I sit here pundit after pundit is trying to convince you that either Obama or Rick Perry or Mitt Romney is the solution. Why? What is the medias interest in promoting a failed establishment? Well, I believe the people spooning out this crap fall into two categories: the ones who gain from the current system and those who don’t think for themselves. The ones who benefit from the bureaucracy – at least their motive is understandable. Unions love the largess. Big corporations too. But what about the ones who won’t think for themselves – the brainwashed? What is in it for them? Nothing. Well, to be sure, there are some useful idiots that do benefit, but they do so out of ignorance or at least in spite of it. What is the cost though? The cost is a lower standard of living for our children. In reality, the piper is at the door now and those who support the current administration are lowering their own standard of living in spite of themselves through a weakened dollar. We embrace the Orwellian nightmare at the cost of our own liberty. The gilded cage is getting rusty. Is ignorance really bliss? I don’t think so. The establishment continues to try to marginalize the tea party. Why? Because the tea party represents a threat to those who benefit from the system. Who benefits from a complicated tax code? Lawyers, accountants, politicians and large businesses. Who benefits mostly from lots of rules and regulations? Mostly monied interests that don’t want to compete. Our country is off track and it has been for over a hundred years – Wilson, FDR, Johnson, Carter and now Obama. If you look at the polls it would appear that many people blame congress more than the president, well, you say banana – I say banana. It is something to be aware of, but there is something else to be aware of – and that is the tea party. It wasn’t the republicans that refused to compromise it was the tea party and I say three cheers for the tea party. Our country has moved so far to the left that any compromise with the socialists, progressives, liberals, democrats, rhinos gains nothing. What fool believes that when you are careening toward a cliff that easing off the accelerator pedal one percent is going to save you. Gridlock is far better than compromise with the left. If our nation is so foolish as to follow the progressives then we have failed as a nation and belong on the trash heap. Maybe liberty and prosperity will rise up again sometime, but if we continue down our current path we and our progeny will pay for our mistakes.

Maybe I shouldn’t have posted that. I’m going to leave it up though. What is bmindful for if you can’t say what you think to your friends.

As long as I’m goin’ postal I would like to mention something that our government, whether it be state or federal, should be doing. We should do something about people who really are living in abject poverty and for people with real mental problems who have been abandoned by our system and are living on the streets.

In response to themadcookieman’s post:
I love that you are speaking your mind MCM. I too see all the politics that has for many decades put us in this mess. For me two of the worst presidents we have ever had was Bush, both he and his father.
It is really all of our fault because we put our trust in politicians who say they will do certain things and then they do not.
For me if every person is self sufficient that would be the answer if were like that then we could all ban together to helps those who need help.
This quote says it all, “Give a man a fish you will feed him for a day teach him how to fish and you will feed him for a lifetime.”
These days is all about money and instant gratification we have forgotten how to work for the things we need not the things “we want.”
When I start seeing parents who are barely making it and buying their kids tickets to see famous artists for $750.00 each what are we showing your kids about money?
Most people are hung up about money and freak out if they don’t have the latest styles and the fanciest cars and homes. NONE of this matters you gather happy memories now don’t wait on it. Because the old addage is true “you can’t take it with you!”
Our country defines success as having money. We have children who have no parents to come home to because they are both working for “better things” These children don’t know how to fen for themselves and instead are rude and insulant. We are now creating the same scenario as “The Lord of the flies.” It“s easy to fix they need love not things.
Our country is always sticking their nose in other countries affairs. What about us and our needs? Yet we all passs around emails to “support our troops.” That’s right support them by petitioning them to come home! Then when they do come home their are no jobs her and are not really given any kind of care.
I can go on and on about the experiences I have seen but it is up to ever person to get the correct information and then we must stick together to make things right for everyone. Not just some.
I agree with you about both of the Bush presidencies, they were both terrible they just didn’t make my cut as the worst – they were close though. Both were progressives and both wasted much blood and treasure in the name of freedom.
