Hello Community! Happiness Meetings were a very regular thing on Bmindful. Here's believing -they are back and that you get what you love and need. There is no right or wrong -there is simply powerful discovery and reinforcement ... for each of us as individuals and collectively
quote:
Mindfulness is an ancient meditation mode in which we let go of our fears, our attachments to control and being right, our expectations and entitlements, and our judgments of others. Instead of these popular strategies, we learn to simply stay present opening in the moment - with nothing in the way - so we can experience life as it occurs. Dr. David Richo
Wishing you the peace and joy your inner spirit loves to experience
For this Happiness Meeting - there will be a variety of tools . Please share what you love. Not a lot of planning -goes into these meetings -simply move from the energy of heart & soul.
Suggested HAPPINESS reflection QUESTIONS ( choose what you desire .. they are simply suggestions):
1. Byron Katie uses 4 questions to live a more peaceful reality based life. How do these questions reinforce more love, peace and joy for your self-talk /internal/external lives? How do you perceive others in the world could benefit from these questions? Do you like the idea of the shift that is possible?
|
Byron Katie's Four Questions
-
- Question 1: Is it true?
- Question 2: Can you absolutely know it's true?
- Question 3: How do you react—what happens—when you believe that thought? Q.
- Question 4: Who would you be without the thought?
- Turn the thought around:

Question 2 BYRON KATIE QUOTE:
“When we stop opposing reality, action becomes simple, fluid, kind, and fearless.” ― Byron Katie
Allow the above quote to assist you in something you are trying to do right now. Share what you feel comfortable and allow what you need.
3.
Please read the quote below and correlate it with how affirmations are such a beautiful tool for you (Do not limit yourself to affirmations - share anything that feels valuable re: this quote)
BYRON Katie QUOTE:
“Since the beginning of time, people have been trying to change the world so that they can be happy. This hasn’t ever worked, because it approaches the problem backward. What The Work gives us is a way to change the projector—mind—rather than the projected. It’s like when there’s a piece of lint on a projector’s lens. We think there’s a flaw on the screen, and we try to change this person and that person, whomever the flaw appears on next. But it’s futile to try to change the projected images. Once we realize where the lint is, we can clear the lens itself. This is the end of suffering, and the beginning of a little joy in paradise.” ― Byron Katie
4. list affirmations for your present moment. You can always edit & change 'em up later
5. Anything you like to share with regard to your experience with the following quote:
5. Bonus question -ask a question & answer ... others can use that and/or create what they desire

In response to ˚naturally peaceful's post:
Thank you for creating this wonderful Happiness meeting!!
Many powerful affirmations teach us to cultivate a muscle for "being in this moment."
Like all life time learning skills, the more you practice, the easier and the more natural specific skill set becomes.
In this meeting, we are being invited to "nurture this present moment."
Being in the now is the only place where change occurs!
“Radical Acceptance is the ability to face hardships with greater love and deeper awareness.
Contemplation shapes radical acceptance as a way to choose love and peace over anger and despair.
Begin by finding this within ourselves before helping others.
I like to open Happiness meetings with definitions. To me, its important to define terms, and learn the concept and, depending upon your interest, take a few minutes and search out what other writers have written.
I believe that we are fortunate to have the internet at our fingertips, and we can search until our heart's content.
What does it mean to you to "Nuture this present moment?"
Present-moment awareness: Bring your attention to the present moment, focusing on your sensations, thoughts, and emotions without judgment. Non-judgmental acceptance: Embrace your experiences as they are, without labeling them as good or bad.
- Beginner’s mind: Cultivate a curious and open mindset, approaching each experience with fresh eyes, as if you were encountering it for the first time.
Understanding Emotional Resilience:
Emotional resilience refers to our ability to cope with and recover from stress, adversity, and difficult emotions. It involves developing a mindset and skill set that enable us to face challenges with a sense of calm, clarity, and flexibility. By cultivating emotional resilience, we can enhance our overall well-being and improve our capacity to cope with life’s ups and downs.
Where does cultivating self-awareness lead to?
Cultivating self-awareness can lead to a deeper understanding of oneself, including strengths, weaknesses, values, and beliefs. It can also enhance emotional intelligence and improve interpersonal relationships by fostering empathy and communication skills. Additionally, self-awareness may result in greater resilience, self-acceptance, and overall well-being.
What is shadow work? What does it have to do with "Nurturing the present Moment?"
Shadow work refers to exploring and working with hidden or unconscious aspects of oneself. It involves uncovering and integrating the repressed, rejected, or disowned parts of one's personality that often cause internal conflict and negatively impact relationships and personal growth.
The concept of shadow work stems from the psychology of Carl Jung, who believed that everyone has a shadow. That shadow represents the dark, unconscious aspects of the self. These include fears, insecurities, suppressed emotions, and negative behavioral patterns.
Engaging in shadow work usually involves self-reflection, introspection, and various therapeutic techniques such as journaling, dream analysis, and inner dialogues. The goal is to bring awareness to these shadow aspects and work towards accepting and integrating them, ultimately fostering personal growth and greater self-understanding.
In my opinion, Shadow work can be very meaningful work. It can be useful in helping people to better perceive and understand barriers - which may hold relevance in the areas of complex emotions related to life experiences. By engaging in this work, people are able to gain access to deeper self awareness of themselves, resolve conflicts or cultivate a more authentic and fulfilling life.

Thank you for taking the time to open the meeting with
these definitions.
Like many who are Bmindful members
I have done much work on my inner /outer self …
so much so …especially over the last few years since an abrupt loss of my soulmate
that the mentioning of the word
work- in any capacity
- seems to add a rough edge to all I do.
Ease is beyond my mode of traveling
I am ready - though my only stipulation is doing things as enjoyably as I can .to forget it is work
The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his information and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he's always doing both.
James A. Michener
I have been relentless in rebuilding.
While many go thru a variety of losses - Everyone will experience it in their own unique way - needing to do their own unique work.
And as much info that is out there - loss often has given me the feeling
like I was going solo in more than the traditional sense
I am now ready to take all I have gained thru my work & go to the next level .

That there’s still a lot of love among us
And there’s still a lot of faith, warmth, and trust
When we keep on keeping on
- 1. Accept your (current) limitations in re:to time, space, energy and money
- 2. Be consistent (ongoing and a little at a time)
- 3. Success breeds success (the more you do, it will get you to want to do more)
- 4. One day at a time (with organizing yourself toward your goal(s)
- 5. You only have to live up to your own expectations.
- 6. If you don’t do as you had planned—start fresh

5. Bonus question -ask a question & answer ... others can use that and/or create what they desire
my bonus question - How will you create what you need and want accomplished with more joy than you remember ever having ?
Today I have :
Today I will:
Create the intention that - joy is who I am . That joy will manifest itself with complexity becoming ease because that is what I choose to experience.
Today I will rephrase I have so much to do
with
I have so much I look forward in doing today
