Thought I am enjoying :

66 days to form a habit 

& can take 254 days to prepare for the choice to change 

(research says)

I had read some time ago that it can take as much as 66 days to form a habit , not 21 as often reported .

article in intro How Long Does It Take To Form A New Habit? by James Clear

And while I was also aware that there is a prep stage in the choice to prepare for the  choice to change  - which makes sense …

…I didn’t recall that it could take as much as 254 days in that preparation.

Part of me thought  well who cares … with affirmations and other tools I can expedite things lol

And since I am of the ‘act as if’ mentality … the number of days once again didn’t phase me. 

After all - elevated vibrations surely increase  flow & often  activated  

when we ascribe to teaching like Neville Goddard’s :

“I possess that which I desire.”

“I’m the creator of my reality.”

“My wish has been fulfilled.”

“I have everything I desire.”

“I’m living my best life.”


“Until you imagine your

desires in detail

and in real-time,

you will not activate them

So… another part of me, keeping the above in mind …

had a great idea ( for me) & if anyone else is interested…

 

 

When I allow myself to be very very satisfied

 

when using tools of higher vibration to move forward …

how could I benefit myself doing things incrementally over 66 days?

How could I benefit myself knowing preparing for greater levels of change takes time?

How could this benefit me? How might it benefit others?

Keeping ease as my primary mode of operation, when I take into consideration the full picture of things involved in day to day living , I could see  a massive overwhelming list of incompletes …

or 

I could see a progressive awesome life that receives the focus and peaceful perspective that I breathe easily and joyfully about 

I choose the latter.

How will I do this?

Its with a progressive understanding that I know 

  1. “I’m living my best life.”
    Yes , I could argue that with certain things I don’t yet know, haven’t yet done , and the actions required in any given day  
  2. or I could understand Now, being happy and healthy are my prime priorities and there are many enjoyable things that I can choose to do in very easy ways daily to be accountable to my joy. One thing I know for sure where I put my attention / focus is very important.
  3. When I choose to breathe deeply, eat when needed, in quality and quantity… that is huge. I can use my day to day  - 66 days to progress in that area. Love what I am doing and grow that focus & action daily. When I choose to move my body- no matter what my ultimate goal is … with 66 days in mind - I can love where I am and progressively over 66 days advance there. You get the plan( : So how is this different than anyone with plans of daily improvement? 

  4. While acknowledging my plans- I am compassionately caring and engaging in my nurturing . And when I see I am ‘only’ on day 1 or 2 … and in the scheme of things understanding how long change could take … the 250 plus days… I will remember I am a complex yet easy person to please … I simply want to monitor myself & give myself a break without letting myself off the hook.
