It makes me sick reading about how people seem to be obsessed by money. I stumbled across this site hoping it would help with negativity, but people just seem to be going on about how they want to be rich. I ve never had any and probably never will, i just want to stop waking up in the morning full of loathing and self hate!
hi jo and welcome .The lovely folks on here have been a lifeline to me throught a tough time and i see them totally opposite to you .I hope as you get to know us you will see the kind, gentle, caring people who are trying to grow personally so that they can help others .I have wonderfull freinds here and i dont know if they are poor as church mice or millionares – its whats in their hearts that matters .I’m taking baby steps learning to like myself and healing depression through natural ways and have found nothing but kindness here .love flowergirl

Hi Jo, Welcome to Bmindful a sight that allows everyone to have a say in what ever they want. Not many sights let us do that. Sure you will find threads that deal with how to create financial freedom, but at the same time you will find threads that talk about music that makes us feel good, about the 40 Day fast from all negative thoughts and actions, about ways to practice and use affirmations to change your life and your thinking.
I think you may have just dropped into one of the threads and thought all of them are like this. I personally do not see it, in fact, I see just the opposite. I see people trying to help people with other problems from marital to self-esteem to what is the best way to deal with co-workers.
Our forums range is as diversified as the people who come to this site on a daily basis. So please do not be too quick to judge and step into the real world of Bmindful and see for yourself, go in with Eyes Wide Open.
Bless you and yours,
Roxanne

I think you might like this freebie from Comfort Queen-
If I am understanding you correctly ..Yeah, I’m a bit surprised that you have seen this site as full of people “just seem to be going on about how they want to be rich”.
We all have different needs and different desires at different times of our lives. Hindsight wisdom is scattered throughout the posts. Very encouraging for so many areas. And it is not negative or greedy to desire either. We just want, of course to keep our priorities straight in the process, which is what u might be concerned about. But don’t be; I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. This site is packed with hindsight wisdom, and loving values that you will be glad u stopped by.
I think as you search the site, you will also see as a predominant theme-gratitude(: Many members here are very proud of their journeys, and are well aware that we don’t always have to feel perfect, and it is not all about feeling great and being rich. Though, feeling great and prospering often comes from various mindsets and actions, and it is ours as we think it, and do our part.
- My suggestion to you, before you judge this site, is to gently focus on yourself, and take what you need. There are threads and posts that go back before 2007, and finances are just one area that people are here to pave the way for.
Though in regard to the infamous dollar, (: let’s be honest, in this world, we need to have resources ..and finances are one of those resource-things.
Much love and respect for you and your journey,
Laurie
PS

This is a quote from Meditating Mama from the Have You Eaten Your Frog thread:
“I’ve been thinking about my frog today. I wanted to focus on my goals, but I didn’t really want to think about specific tasks. So, I decided to ask myself the following questions instead:
1) What will I do today to give more than I’ve given before?
2) What will I do today to be more loving?
3) What will I do today to learn and grow?
4) What will I do today to share and create harmony and connection?
5) What will I do today to nurture, love, and express compassion and kindness?
6) What will I do today to bring value to my business, my family, my community, the world?
7) What will I do today to receive more?
8) What will I do today to believe more?
Just contemplating these ought to be a good challenge…”
BE YOU
Thanks for your lovely comments, I now feel rather embarassed about posting this thread in the first place! I suppose the point i was trying to make was that greed is ugly in itself and can never be seen in a positve light to me, but there are many positive things i can get from this site and i will just ignore the financial stuff!
