new★★A life of no expectations

Anything that anyone gives attention to, becomes true

Having a conversation about expectations could be very powerful...

From my own life experience, I can say that it took me years to learn to distinguish how I had allowed a lot of pain and suffering due to being unaware of my expectations. Learning about expectations is a huge and necessary part of taking responsibility for our self and for our joy.

Everyone has expectations. We just have to be aware of them and how running our unmet expectations impact us and our ability to have relatedness and how to have trust, safety and other desirable qualities that come from having healthy and loving long term relationships.

“Radical Acceptance is the ability to face hardships with greater love and deeper awareness.
Contemplation shapes radical acceptance as a way to choose love and peace over anger and despair.
Begin by finding this within ourselves before helping others.

I my life experience, when I took responsibility for my expectations, I was able to have the freedom to discover how having expectations was undermining me and my ability to have healthy boundaries with healthy relationships that are based on being honest, authentic and being known for who we really are and what we are really committed to generating.

You can look at and listen to how many times the word "we" is either said or written. This is really valuable.

I love the energy of hopes and dreams!

It doesn't matter what the result, its the energy of possibilities I love the most!

BE YOU

Great topic - expectations!

BE YOU

We are living in a culture entirely hypnotized by the illusion of time, in which the so-called present moment is felt as nothing but an infintesimal hairline between an all-powerfully causative past and an absorbingly important future. We have no present. Our consciousness is almost completely preoccupied with memory and expectation. We do not realize that there never was, is, nor will be any other experience than present experience. We are therefore out of touch with reality. We confuse the world as talked about, described, and measured with the world which actually is. We are sick with a fascination for the useful tools of names and numbers, of symbols, signs, conceptions and ideas.
Alan Wilson Watts

BE YOU

People live on the flow of the daily reality and they surge on the waves of hazy expectations. They can experience pleasant junctures and try to catch and enjoy each special moment that is offered to them. Until life takes them by surprise.
