Most have a well cleared path that they are not veering from. Others have a path that few others have seen or crossed. In response to Lake Placid's post: There is a quite a difference between a $200 bike and a $500 bike however, $500 or more spent on a decent bike is a good investment and locking it is necessary. The best thing I noticed when I started riding years ago, is that it brought back my feelings as a youth.
