I love the energy you feel from trees and yes I am a tree hugger .
My favorite place is in the middle of a wood surrounded by all these tall ,bushy living things .They feel like lots of wise old men and women just waiting to share their peace ,strength, patience and energy.
So here is my thread dedicated to trees
The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens and nature.
~ Anne Frank
So this is my time with trees and nature ,
Words are like seeds. When you write them out, they grow into your dreams and spark the imagination of others.

“There is new life in the soil for every woman.
There is healing in the trees for tired minds and for our overburdened spirits, there is strength in the hills, if we only lift up our eyes. Remember that nature is your great restorer.”

BE YOU
Her love spread out like branches,
Reaching upwards to the sky,
Giving shade throughout the summer,
And a place to keep you dry,
So all the city’s children,
Built a treehouse round her spine,
And though they never asked her,
She still told them she was fine,
They etched their names with knives,
Along the edges of her bone,
A handwritten reminder,
She was always theirs to own,
Despite the pain they brought her,
Upwards she still grew,
Thinking if you love someone,
It’s the least that you can do,
But as the kids turned into adults,
And the winter air grew cold,
She wept sap from their carvings,
For they weighed too much to hold,
And the men all thought her branches,
Were to help their fires start,
And without a single “thank you”,
Put a chainsaw through her heart.

BE YOU
Take me to your roots, Beloved
Show me who you are
What life made of your heart
Is it still intact?
What burdens still you carry
Blindfolded in the day
As it is the darkest night...
Come and rest at my feet
Allow me to pour my love
On your hardened skin
Break free...
Shake the pain away
Drink from my palms
Swallow the cup of my dreams...
Nourish your Soul...
Become whole
Come back home
Journey to your deepest roots
Your Self is waiting
To celebrate your return
Come home, Beloved...
You wandered around
For far too long
My womb is waiting
Make it your home
Until I re-birth you
To be
What you were meant to be...
Come home, Beloved...
Come back to your roots...

Let the familiar world around you fall away, as you find yourself on a pathway. It winds and twists off into the distance and you soon find yourself heading in the direction of an area of woodland. With each step that you take on the pebbled path, you feel yourself going deeper and deeper into meditation. Once you reach the woods you can hear the noise of the leaves as the breeze moves through them.....it's as if the trees are talking to you. Listen to the sounds of the birds and the smell of the fresh woodland air. You enter the woods and after walking a short distance you come across a huge old tree. It's as though it has been waiting just for you. You walk slowly towards it, noticing all the details. Check out the colour and texture of the bark, the colour and shape of the leaves and as you step back, be aware of its height and girth. Reach out and place both hands on the tree......touch the bark and notice how it feels under your fingertips. Talk with the spirit of the tree and ask permission to connect with its energy. As you stand, tuning into the powerful energy of this ancient being, ask if it has a message for you today. Pay attention and wait for it to respond. Be aware of the energy of the tree moving through your body and energy centres. Feel and visualise the energy flowing through your hands and moving down to your feet and into the ground below. When done, thank the tree for the healing energy and messages received and gently remove your hands. Start now to walk slowly back down the pebbled path, leaving the woods and ancient tree behind. Know that you can come back to the woods again, anytime that you feel drawn to connect with the energy of the trees. As you reach the familiar entrance to your own garden, step back into the reality of the physical world and gently and slowly come back to full consciousness.
