List Of 21 Honoring Affirmations
We are given shameful messages about our sexuality, but we don't have to believe them. We can honor our human sexuality in whatever forms it may take, and commit to using our sexuality joyfully and responsibly.
Life is not punishing us by showing us our imperfections; it is enriching us and gifting us. It is calling forth our sense of humor, our joy in being human, and our bonds with all of humanity.
The shame we've picked up, from decades of being given untruthful messages about oursellves, is easily released and healed now.
Everyone on the planet has spilled spaghetti sauce on their shirt at some point in their lives, and if we can't laugh at ourselves once in a while, then we're probbably going to have even more spaghettii sauce in our futures. So we honor our spatters!
There is a shame people are taught, about being a weak and fallible human, who often embarrasses themselves in life. But how there be any shame in being human? It is honorable to come to earth school and no one flunks out here.
"The sacred is ever present. I need not conjure it, and I can not create it. It is our midst as an unsolicited gift. I need only to do my best to honor it as I grow more attuned to its language."
Our society sometimes heaps shame on people for having experiences of poverty, failure or loneliness, but we can honor any experience we've had. There is no one who can stop us from honoring our experiences and living from wholeness.
Any experience where our earth family and earth friends abandoned us or betrayed us in some way, was never a matter of personal shame or dishonor. So we honor our ability to get through difficult experiences, and sometimes even learn from them.
There is not a single experience that is worthy of shame or dishonor. We can honor even the mistakes we have made, because our regret teaches us which values feel good to act from. Shame can be released utterly, to return to spirit.
There is not a single human who's never made a mistake. We can honor our mistakes, and let any shame return to spirit.
We can even heal shame when we see it in others, just by honoring the circumstances and qualities that they hold in a place of shame, until they are ready to allow honor in.
How would life feel if we knew that little pockets of lifeshame were not compulsory in life? I like choosing honor, over and over again.
Sometimes we say something awkward, because none of us are mindreaders. But how could there be shame in that? Let's honor our positive intentions and let any awkwardness make us accessible and human in the eyes of others.
Sometimes we are guided towarrd "mistakes" so that others can seee our humanity and relate to us. Mistakes are a part of our shared humanity, and we WANT the people around us to know that we are just like them, never perfect or above our human failings.
It's really funny to think that the spirit world helps us show our humanity to others, and that ever time we walked around with broccoli in our teeth, spirit was orchestrating this from a place of deep love.
Every time I say something awkward, or do something clumsy, I can laugh and thank spirit for showing us that we're just like everone else.
Sometimes spirit likes to say, "Loosen up; relax a little; don't be afraid to look imperfect" and it would be so cool if we were able to laugh and appreciate the gift of that. We are loved, even when we are late to our dentists appointment.
It is funny that we try so hard to be perfect, and never have to be vulnerable, because spirit's intentions for us is that we become comfrotable in our shared imperfection and vulnerability, for OUR ultimate happiness.
