Actually: “I induldge myself regularly with healthy rewards for quitting smoking.”
Personally, I buy myself jewelery. This is not something that would automatically be considered ‘healthy’ in most people’s estimations - but if something brings you joy and continuing joy at that, it is far healthier than either the false ‘need’ to smoke, or the feeling of ‘not being able to have’ something desired for lack of monies spent on something else that harms the body and empties the life of it’s meaning and purpose. As the years go by I find I have a few nice little things to show for the sacrifices I made by quitting the smoking. It feels good to allow myself to have something frivolous that gives me some kind of joy or lasting satisfaction, without guilt, because previously the same monies were spent on something frivlous that did not produce any real joy or lasting satisfaction.
