“You don’t have to be the victim of your environment. You can also be the architect of it.” –
“The more pride you have in a particular aspect of your identity, the more motivated you will be to maintain the habits associated with it.”–
“The purpose of setting goals is to win the game. The purpose of building systems is to continue playing the game. True long-term thinking is goal-less thinking. It’s not about any single accomplishment. It is about the cycle of endless refinement and continuous improvement. Ultimately, it is your commitment to the process that will determine your progress.” –
“Over the long run, however, the real reason you fail to stick with habits is that your self-image gets in the way. This is why you can’t get too attached to one version of your identity.
Progress requires unlearning.
Becoming the best version of yourself requires you to continuously edit your beliefs, and to upgrade and expand your identity.” –
“The score takes care of itself.” The same is true for other areas of life. If you want better results, then forget about setting goals. Focus on your system instead.” –

How many times has a day off rolled around and you told yourself -you're going to use that time to get 'everything' done ... or you aren't doing anything ...but taking it easy? And... when you go back to wanting more and have less time/focus …you're thinking: |
- "I really need to take it easy
- "There's always next week"
- "Or I'm going to figure this out yet, because I am going to have my cake and eat it too!"
Well, this is the purpose of this thread.....
“Find your true weakness and surrender to it. Therein lies the path to genius. Most people spend their lives using their strengths to overcome or cover up their weaknesses. Those few who use their strengths to incorporate their weaknesses, who don’t divide themselves, those people are very rare. In any generation there are a few and they lead their generation.” Moshe Feldenkrais
