<p>I feel it would be better to focus on the opposite.
I always learned the subconscious mind negates negatives, which would turn this affirmation into: &#8220;Codependent More&#8221; 
Something along the lines of: I choose to become more independent every day, should work better in my opinion.
Of course I do not know to what specific belief pattern you catered this affirmation.
