I had posted fiber examples
for good health and weight goals, before; though lets pool our understanding of weight, share our scrumptious ideas, and eat nutritionally and watch calories together. I started a support thread for these kinds of efforts
Let’s get more specific here, and make it work now!
Anoushka has had some wonderful ideas, that she recently posted
What don’t ‘we’ want to do? What do we want to do more of? Yes Exercise! How’re your routines going? Did you do something cool while working out today? Did you apply some good affirmations, or other visual imagery? Did you use suggestions on a sleep tape, or did you relax, take in a wonderful idea and move forward with great success?
Share, share and share some more(:

Hey MCM! I too use Livestrong but mainly for ‘the daily plate’ (a sister site which you will find on Livestrong) which counts my daily calorie intake and calculates percentage of fat, protein and carbs throughout the day. Also calsulates energy expenditure through activity. Another bonus is that you can set targets for yourself and by simply being more mindful of each and everything you eat you being to see a change in your eating behaviour. Say goodbye to mindless eating!!! You wont do it when you see how much they clock up…
In response to flowergirl’s post:
Dried and fresh fruit. Avoid the ‘low cal’ or ‘low fat’ snack bars that claim to be healthy – they often have more sugar in them and leave you craving more. Its better to keep your blood sugar levels topped up by nibbling a controlled amount of chopped up fresh fruit and dried dates, apricots, raisins thoughout the day. Measure a bag out (so you know you are not mindlessly chomping all day) and keep with you at your desk or wherever you work.
P.S love your attitude on the vegan thing. Sounds like you have got it balanced and sensible!!

hi Anoushka ,thanks for your help, never thought of dried fruit .The vegan side is easy mentally once i focus my mind onthe animals .If i think about the calves that are taken away from their mums as the mums milk is needed for chocolate ,cheese etc it is easy
Going to supermarket this afternoon so will have a look ,love flowergirl

I need to lose about 20 lbs. It’s hard for me to get motivated to start exercising. Start doing it for about 3 days then stop. In the past I remember dancing for hours and hours. Now one dance has me out of breath. Anyway recently in a health magizine there was an artticle on the benefits of Chia Seeds and their benefits on weight loss. Went out and bought some. Let’s see how they affect me.
