Evolving in a warm sea
Floating round and round
I find myself comforted
By soft sounds

Whisperings and touchings
Reassuringly kind
I abound around
Grasping mind

Bigger and grander
I become
Fully developed
Joyously welcomed

Moving beyond my sea
Sight blinds me
Sounds frighten me
I sing a joyful cry

Clutching close
I’m held so tight
Warm and gentle
Into the night

I sing my cry
For what I might
Soon my song
Speaks words delight

My world opens
At a crawl
I toddle about
Steadying the wall

Still I change
Ever so fast
How long will
My joy last

The earth rotates
In its path
I begin to see
Me at last

Speeding time
Quickly turns
I’m half grown
I’m on my own

Still I seek
Who I am
I travel
On my path

To destinations
Still unknown
Evolving in a warm sea
Floating round and round

I find myself comforted
By my own sounds
I am found

It is me
Who I am
Perfectly here
Where I abound

A beautiful daughter
Is born to me
