★HappinessMeeting˚December 'Merry Ease'

Our theme this week will be Ease into the Holidays and the New Year and…Beyond…

See the source image

Questions To Ponder For This Weeks Discussion

1. As the holidays approach, many activities, thoughts, feelings circle our lives. How does ease come into play so you can truly enjoy this time of year? Are you waiting for something to happen before you can enjoy…or even believe others can be joyful without some ‘main event’?

2. With the New Year comes an opportunity for a new beginning. We make resolutions to do more, be more, get more, free up more… Have you found wonderful ways to allow more of what you desire?

3. In terms of ease, how are you able to shift away from materialism to enjoying not only this time of year though al times of year ?

4. Do you trust life… the Universe… the Creator to be a source of resource? Do you feel an inner guidance system working for you allowing your co-creating…? How do you cope/handle resistance?

★we thank you in advance for your wonderful participation…in ways that you choose★

It is impossible for you to be late.
Just Pop In & Out…however it works well for you
It’s really simple…The only requirement is caring about yourself and others.

Reminder with these meetings…save to your favorites…Just like any other thread on Bmindful, you can always bring your fresh energy to it anytime after the meeting date(:

  • ~
So no matter what this season means to you…Bmindful wishes you ease… Health Peace Love & Joy …. simply always…
  • And no matter what this time of year symbolizes by way of celebration… May it be glorious … truly meaningful specifically to you this time of year…filled with love, peace, & joy.

★we thank you in advance for your wonderful participation…in ways that you choose★

Words are like seeds. When you write them out, they grow into your dreams and spark the imagination of others.

… ease… and trust… allowing… co-creating… enjoyment…not just during holidays… though-out the year(:

I was having a conversation with a friend today about ease…I’d like to share a bit of that here(: It will seem like it has nothing to do with today..the holidays…or the future and creating ease…though it feels quite connected for me(:

***~reminiscing with this person about childhood~*** Many moons ago (smiles), when I was a very very young teen …I remember getting ready to go out to a dance, or go to the beach …sometimes with our young guy friends…and some times… to just go as we all did…(just the gal-friends) to meet up with new faces & dance…or simply socialize.. with our peers [wonderful innocence in those days].

My best friend and I spent ALL DAY getting ready for our little evenings out… It was the most exciting enjoyable energy …this preparation. Decisions of what to wear…how to style our hair… which cosmetics we’d experiment with…. [I spent hours on my hair… I changed my clothes a ‘few’ times…] (:

We’d listen to music…(before the dance-all day). We would laugh, and anticipate with high positive energy …our upcoming fun…And it was a party before the party. There were only thoughts of a wonderful delightful evening…and our social-things generally were. The getting ready was quite spectacular too.
Why share all of this in regard to ease and the holidays …and beyond?…Because those long prep times was the joyous ease in life…It was the …the anticipation of fun…celebration of fun… the having fun. It was like fun couldn’t fail(: It just was.

That is what I do my best to have in my life today…even though often everything feels like it has to be done in microwave-speed… And I find myself desiring to pull back… and simply move at the pace that allows me to enjoy(: That is the pace I want to be in for everyday-including holidays…anticipatory-joy …. creating the time desired…for the life I see in my minds’ eye. To rest on pillows of gratitude and appreciation, and Thank the Creator of the Universe… for the doors that are always open and the Guidance to walk toward them/through them and receive only wonderful experiences. I can’t help but see this joy for everyone…It’s just a matter of stepping back…and revising appearances…with the gifts we’ve already been given(: Happy Holidays everyone! And as far as the New Year I Am/WE Are guided by Good and it’s All Good.Thank You God(: Amen. /I find when I do this at my job…(the gratitude & appreciation)….come from a place of love & acceptance…work doesn’t feel as much like work…as I’m sure it is ‘supposed to’.

I find I do this with the business of living ideas…when my hubby & I are doing our brainstorming/planning/being -it’s about creating that relief feeling…of not carrying the world on our shoulders…as the world seems to tell us we are responsible for. It seems the desire to create/give more occurs…when it feels like a choice. Oh yeah…things generally are(: I choose not to complicate today or tomorrow… I choose a passionate life…a life of greater and greater ease. It starts in the heart…creates wonderful feelings… It allows Greater connection to others…I’ll give it to God…and we’ll co-create our Party and the Merry ease is mine/ours for the asking(: Thanks for the opportunity to sharethis-great reinforcement for what I want to keep experiencing whenever I can
… ease… and trust… allowing… co-creating… enjoyment…not just during holidays… though-out the year(:

It seems to go hand in hand with ease, the season, the reasons for everything, and everyday(:

You have just described what others might call in the flow. I call it being in the groove. You were allowing yourself to be completely natural. You were not feeling any resistance (or societal expectations) of what you should do. You were just being yourself as free as a bird to have fun. For those brief hours you were not carrying the weight of the world, or feeling adult responsibility. Isn’t that our natural state before we are taught by our environment to be competitive, winners and losers, beautiful, ugly ect.?

Words are like seeds. When you write them out, they grow into your dreams and spark the imagination of others.

1. As the holidays approach, many activities, thoughts, feelings circle our lives. How does ease come into play so you can truly enjoy this time of year? Are you waiting for something to happen before you can enjoy…or even believe others can be joyful without some ‘main event’?

The holiday season is often a very stressful time of the year and I have had my fair share of ups and downs. I remember how excited I was as a young child on Christmas Eve, awaiting Santa in the morn, and as a young teenager, visiting my cousins and grandparents and having a wonderful time. I remember my first Christmas away from my family, all alone, in a hostile country serving duty for my country. How sad and angry I was to be put into such a situation. I remember my first Christmas with my new wife and each of our children. And our subsequent celebrations as our children grew. I remember Christmas without my children just after my divorce. Now it is several Christmas’s without my parents still with me.

My point is, I chose my feelings during all those life events… some happy, some not so. Most of the time I wasn’t really aware I was creating my own happiness or sadness. I felt I was being victimized most of the time. Not any more do I feel that way. As I have grown older, I find myself letting go of distractions that once ruled my feelings. I am letting myself be okay just the way I am. Sure I want to stay active, learn and grow, but most of the time I am a casual observer of my life. I just let it come to me. I enjoy myself. I have passions in which I devote my time. I am happy and appreciative. All of my needs are being met without me being frantic and stressed out.

Thank you for your response Poppy(: While it was a meaningful post to me…I had thoughts of deleting it… Didn’t know if I was clear with my preparation for dates-example(: Thanks for hearing me(: The way you interpreted it was exactly what I was saying…!!! I Am living a Divine plan

Hey everyone! :-)

Over the years the holidays have definitely meant different things to me and i’m sure my perspective will continue to change as I get older.
I fondly remember them as a child with the feeling of rewarded for getting older, each year a Christmas would come around and in all honesty I wouldn’t really think much about it. I just knew it was the time of year when Santa came and we would eat and watch a lot of boring Christmas specials on TV.
I got older and more cynical through my teens and grew negative of the holidays believing that we were all being “brainwashed” into spending to feed the corporate world.
It wasn’t until my early twenties that my opinion changed again with a feeling of indifference. I enjoyed socialising but I still didn’t get what all the fuss was about, I couldn’t experience Christmas like I could as a child so I didn’t really understand what it was all about.
Well now i’m in my early 30s and my understand has evolved again mainly through experiencing Christmas with my partner and her family as well as personal growth I can see how Christmas brings family together and how instrumental it is as the biggest holiday of year to tie together all the seasons.

That was a long way round to answering the first question of being joyful without a “main event” My opinion is that I think its the event that brings people together and the social obligation to give gifts, although is forced is still very powerful and can heal rifts and can strengthen bonds between family members and friends for years to come.
Without events like Christmas we could very easily get used to the weekly cycle of life and lose connection with those who aren’t directly involved in our lives. These events give us a push to remind us of this fact :-)

I’ve never got into the tradition of new years resolutions I never feel like I can find the right resolution that I want to commit to but maybe this year I will give it a try as long as I can find something.

I feel there is a lot of opportunity for me in the world, particularly because I was born in the United Kingdom I think the key is to listen, act and believe anything is possible to make it a reality. The world is full of resistance its absolutely everywhere but I’ve found the more positive I am as a person the less resistance I face. Also I try to spend as much time as possible with positive people :-)

Happiness threads are truly gifts…

It gives the gift of evaluating significant things and the beauty of knowing you will be sharing with like-minded positive people… with lovely diversity.

I will definitely make a point of returning tomorrow!!!(:

Thank you bunique’s: I really enjoyed reading your post…!!! and will take in the wonderful points you’ve shared… for tomorrow’s post(:

And thank you Poppy for kicking off this meeting and again sharing things which I know also have added much to my already happy-self which always appreciates the reinforcement…

I Am living a Divine plan

haven’t read any posts,other then acouple ?s
First was about ease, well like most blokes I keep the fridge stocked with
spirits,so I can at least act spiritual.
2nd? Do I trust the universe in my daily existence.
My answer off the cuff is yes I think I trust the universe,to be honest I do
so because it’s the wise choice.
To say more on the topic, when I think about the 2 or 3 choices to select,
I must put the greater portion of my daily mindset that it is “a friendly
universe“and things may improve politically, enviromentaly spiritually etc.
I kind of see things this way, wrong or right and also some left.
I can hope and beleive that source will channel me or Joe Montana and score
the game winning touch down as the clock runs out.
In other words remain hopefull.
The alternative makes no sense to me,think the worst beleive in doom and gloom, doubt everything just to be able to say,“you seeI was right you were wrong. You could say my investment is in hope and source or god,yes it could be wrong, but that’s a small price to pay, because there is not many prizes
for investing in negativity and finding out you were right.Grammer to be edited later.

Thank you all for all that you’ve shared!

So, Happy Holidays to All!

This is my favorite time of the year! I love having all seasons, but winter time is special. This is the time of year when the earth freezes and its rests, and this is the time when true country folk would bring out the winter chores, and when women started making quilts, or making their homes a busy little hub, a family hub… busy making good memories!

Thank you Poppy and Just for me, for keeping these Happiness meetings going!

And to All of Bmindful, I have truly found these meetings to be of great personal value. It fact, its pleasing for me to reflect back to where I was in my life when we first began these meeting!

I know where I was in my life then, and I know where I am now, and I am grateful for the momentum and for all of the people that I’ve met and the doors that I’ve opened.

Today, I took one final exam, and next week I have a comprehensive final. The test today felt great. I feel pretty good about it. The big test is the comprehensive…

I am amazed at all that I’ve gotten through this semester. As I look back, I do see that I have taken steps forward with trust, and with releasing things and allowing new things to enter into my life.

For me, for now, I absolutely embrace my health. I am making healthier food choices, eating more greens, salads and eating less meat. It feels great.

And, I am keeping my vibrational energy positive and healthy. I enjoy my time. I enjoy my thoughts. I enjoy my now. My work and my thoughts just flow. Everything I need, I trust, and the universe provides!

My sleep is excellent, and I wake up with gratitude. Today, I had ease and comfort. And, as winter sets in, I am totally ready on the inside! Love it!! Time to make health happen!!

In response to Soulgasm’s post:

I read your post late last night and wanted to respond, but was just too tired. It’s early morning where I am at now and I awoke with the thought grammar is not important here, neither is spelling, nor punctuation. The important thing on this forum is the valadation one receives that their thoughts are accepted, valued, and appreciated, even if they differ from ours.

I had to laugh when I read, “… like most blokes I keep the fridgestocked with
spirits,so I can at least act spiritual.”

“2nd? Do I trust the universe in my daily existence.

I enjoyed your unique way of expressing yourself and your points are well taken. My hope is that I have interpreted your post as you have intended.

1. Trust the universe because it’s a wise choice.
2. Be and remain hopeful that in the end, the Source will take care of you and the Joe Montanas.
3. Invest your energy in trusting and hoping in The Source/God … All that is right and good in the universe, rather than focusing on the man made negativity of our world.

In response to Kathi’s post:

Kathi it is my pleasure to co-host these meetings. I find they are of great personal value as well.

Congratulations on setting and moving forward on attaining your personal educational goals. When I look back on what I had to do to attain my education, I wonder how I did it? To be truthful, I’m still a student. Being open to continual learning isn’t ever easy. The learning is in the struggle. At my current stage, I’ve learned the final exam is called life.

I want to personally thank you for taking the time to respond to our little happiness meetings. As the day progresses, my hope is that you will pop in and share. I cannot express how pleased I am when you validate these meetings. I must confess I have no idea how hard you work on maintaining and improving this site. All I know, is Bemindful is a great place to be, and it always hasn’t been that way. So thank you, thank you, Thank You!

All Month Long Meeting “:http://bmindful.com/forum/thread/7762/happinessmtgdec-23-merry-ease-#post108952
Committee agrees(: “

All Month Long Meeting
intro of our very first meeting was on July 23…. and our first meeting was on July 29th. The energy on the site needed a little reminding…of the great place Bmindful is & who we were and why we’re here… to enjoy… and share with one another;hence the Happiness Meetings were born…
It gave us something to anticipate joyfully with the things which personally interested us….and how we want to feel…and how we want to grow…(what works for us & what doesn’t) We had a few growing pains with it…because What In The Heck Was A Happiness Meeting…and What Time Does It Start? How Do I Join? And bottom line…it is with great ease, that I say…you’re always welcome…and the structure is minimal…(: It’s every Wednesday…Although this one will be going all month long due to the holidays and the topic is ease… It can be applied throughout the year…and shared about in a number of ways. For those who want to share about their lives..or offer a link to a video…It really is all good(:

At the end of a year can you imagine the # of topics and # of meetings…that are basically threads with sharing, growth, joy in mind that you can always go back to on any given day.
My hope all of the Happiness Meetings will soon have a category area of their own…for members not only to stop in for the first time… though for participating members to watch or recall the things that have worked for them &/or their growth(: And of course to create a space for anyone to jump in anytime(: Anytime(: We love you community(:

In response toJust For Me's Post

December is usually a busy month for all of us. I think a month long meeting where everyone can come and discuss how they deal with the hustle and bustle of Christmas and the New Year would be beneficial. It can definitely be a stressful time of the year. Expectations may run high and disappointments are a possibility. Further thoughts on how to ease into and out of the season would be helpful.. Just my thoughts on a month long Happiness Meeting dealing with Ease, Flow, and LOA..
we thank you in advance for your wonderful participation…in ways that you choose

Hey Kathi congratulations on completing your exams and best of luck for when you get your results :-)

Soulgasm i’m not sure Joe Montana will be scoring anymore touchdowns but i agree in remaining hopeful in life. Positivity is definitely the key to happiness.

Poppy I really appreciate the kind words, i’m pleased you’re happy with the progress so far but I really hope to be able to contribute much more in 2016!

Thanks to everybody for your thoughts.
And Poppy thanks for your encouragement regarding my thoughts.
And even though Joe Montana is retired from football,he was my favorite
NFL player. They say 50% of being an athlete is physical,Joe was an artist
because he more than believed,he knew the power of desire and focus,
and somehow was able to instill that tenacity into every player at halftime
and when the game was on the line.
Thus 4 superbowl trophies, the hall of fame and so on.
A reporter asked him once,“Joe do you ever fear losing a game”
he replied “I usually don’t consider losing an option,in other words fear and
doubt are not in the huddle”

Once you get to know Twain, you’ll never be the same.

Getting past fear and doubt and having a laser focus on what you want are great assets for football players. I’m a big football fan too. I liked watching Montana play, but I am a Cowboy fan even though they are big losers. ( Greg Harding) I am saddened by the way the NFL has allowed players and teams to become so violent. — domestic violence towards family or women/children. I don’t think winning is everything. It’s how you play the game. True in life also. Being kind, considerate and good to yourself and others is more important to me than running them over, bullying, pushing them aside to get what you want.

The Journey/A Lovers Dream

To my mind
Time is unknown
My body yearns
For a retreat

I lie awake
Weaving thoughts
Eyelids dropping
And popping open

My chest is tight
There’s a burning
In my back
My legs tingling

If the light bulb
In my brain
Could be
Switched off

Tired
Past tired
Heavy bodied
Darkness undefined

I see your face
I hear your laughter
Your warm embrace
I’m drifting

So far away
You are
Not here
Nowhere

Alone I search
My eyes burn
From the strain
Faded images

Oh that you were here
Or I there
It matters not which
I whimper a whisper

Bring me your hand
To hold I long
To comfort
Your soul

Through the lightless void
A shadowy image appears
Cautiously, slowly I approach
The phantom

A gnarled fragile lump
Emerges into
A glimmer of light
A lamp flickering

Painfully squinting to see
The light grows
Grows brightly
Blindingly moving

Ever so fast
Approaching
Frighteningly so…
Challenging…No fear

Calmly illuminating
Brilliantly bright
Full recognition
Laughingly so

A friend
No doubt
A lover
Yes so

You see you
I see me

—-Poppy

The best gift one can give themselves is to recognize they are worthy of the highest love… Love of themselves. This love is not easily recognized or attained. But if and when you realize and accept yourself as you are and determine where you want to go, the journey is pure joy.

Thank you both for encouraging me to write what I hesitantly call poetry. It is really freedom writing-a form of self expression where you abandon standardized writing conventions and use as few words as possible.

I do appreciate your kind words.

A BIG PART OF THEPUZZLE“I TEND TO THINK HAS TO DO WITH THAT FANCY WORD
TRANSCENDANCE,WHICH KIND OF MEANS TO “GO BEYOND
I GUESS THAT’S WHY YOGI’S TEND TO HAVE NAMES LIKE (SWAMINAKBEYONDTA)
OR (ISHTAFROMTHEGREATBEYONDRA)
I THINK ALSO IT’S NOT SO MUCH ABOUT COMPLETELY TRANCSENDING SOMETHING,I THINK
THAT’S WHY I THINK IT’S A GOOD IDEA TO STRIVE TOWARDS PROGRESS,PERFECTION
IN MY OPINION IS COUNTERPRODUCTIVE,IN OTHER WORDS I GUESS WHAT I’M SAYING
IS,PROGRESS YIELDS A MUCH HIGHER RATE OF INTEREST,THAN PERFECTION.

The Bridge

Thousands of gently twisted steel fibers of life

Build the weight-bearing cables that support the fragile bridge of you.

Extraordinary bridge that spans an evolutionary vision into wisdom and spirituality.

Unadorned and simple bridge that easily carries the most heavy weights of self and individuals.

All questers, seasoned travelers, carry unfathomable, invisible baggage

that you handily shoulder on your back during the journey.

A most interesting bridge!

A bridge that by design has yet has not a predetermined destination. The traveler selects where they want to go… or what they want to be.

The bridge guides. It whispers in your ear late at night.

It shouts during the day…“Do your greatest good.”

A difficult journey at best. The bridge ascends ever upwards.

And the distance of the bridge, you may ask?

A walk in the park, crossing the desert, climbing the highest mountain,

or taking the first step, it’s up to you.

If one is aware,

Conscious,

Alive,

The bridge will embrace you with her love and carry you to your destination.

While I enjoy all the posts here at the Happiness Meeting, Poppy, I was deeply touched by your poem The Journey / A Lovers Dream, truly beautiful! It took me away, somewhere I’ve not been before, and for that, I thank you!!
