calling my angels

50 minutes of beautiful calm music

Okay. Here is my song for the day. Forever in Blue Jeans

Okay, now listen to the intro. It sounds simple, right? Well, I’ve played guitar for around 35 year now, and that little intro is kickin’ my butt. Now, normally I wouldn’t say what I am about to say. It is going to sound braggardly and I don’t mean it to. Here it is and why I’m going to say it: I have friends I play guitar with on occasion and they frequently look at me with a puzzled look and say something like “how are you doing that” and I usually say “I don’t know”, “here, I’ll slow it way down and see if I can figure it out”. ( I’m laughing out loud now as I’m typing. ) I guess it’s easy if you already know how to do it. Not to self: remember, understanding others sometimes take a little conscious effort.)

All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.

Life Less Ordinary

I always seem to be in a chatty mood when no one else around here is! Maybe we need a chat box.

All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.

Then I wouldn’t be filling up a music thread with completely unrelated sillyness.

(sharing this old post from an old deleted thread)(Maybe the moderator can fix the links, I don’t know.)

I LOVE Little Wing, by the by. Dig the Steve Winwood too. Ever heard Stevie Ray’s version? Little Wing LOVE IT!!!!! Of couse, we can’t over look Sting and Hiram Bullock’s Little Wing either. Sadly, Hiram Bullock died a couple of years ago. I can’t help but mention a couple of other great losses to the music world since Hiram Bullock came to mind.

Chet Atkins and Maynard Ferguson have gone to the other side too.

Chet Atkins Vincent

Do you think Jerry and Chet get together and jam on the other side? Chet and Jerry

Here’s a little Maynard, Summertime I guess Gabriel will have someone to great to Jam with Now. I suspect Stevie and Hiram hang on the other side too. I guess Jaco probably plays bass in the Heavenly House Band. Laurie, I’ll bet you can dig THIS! Do Right Woman, Do Right Man and The Weight How about a little Ella? Sunshine of Your Love Or maybe some Etta? Come Rain or Come Shine

All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.
