When the deepest part of you becomes engaged in what you are doing, when your activities and actions become gratifying and purposeful, when what you do serves both yourself and others, when you do not tire within but seek the sweet satisfaction of your life and your work, you are doing what you were meant to be doing. For me, setting my intention for the day is done as many ways as I can. When life is full (with work, family and selfcare), it is so important to keep an eye on where I say I want to go, and follow up on me.
When I respond to those who truly care about me…I find I self-talk… what I just did and where my focus is…This helps me create boundaries for my time, also assist my plan in the works, and allow for support, which I enjoy receiving & giving. One of the best things I’ve ever learned regarding receiving support…it is not something I depend on, its the wonderful icing on the cake. My self talk has to be the bulk of my support I receive. No one can know exactly or how much another needs…but when it happens it provides an unexpected reward.
Writing is like rewriting my goals…and doing that truly helps my focus. And like Mara, I find daily writing valuable in a daily journal…it includes thoughts, feelings, ideas, beliefs & affirmations. When I’m bit tired…and even when I have a lot of energy …I ask myself questions to get into more of that feeling of where I am in the moment.
