Think And Grow Rich ~ Original 1937 Edition pdf

Part 1 ~ Master Key Introduction

1.Procure a neat pocket-sized notebook.
2.On page one write down a clear description of What You Most Desire in Life.
3.On page two write down a clear statement of what you intend to give in return.
4.Memorize both statements.
5.Repeat a dozen times daily.
6.Statement Expression of Gratitude

“O Divine Providence, I ask not for more riches but more Wisdom
with which to make wiser use of the riches you gave me at birth,
consisting in the power to control and direct my own mind
to whatever ends I desire.”

Part 2 ~ Mastermind Principles

Definition Of A Mastermind:
The Mastermind consists of two or more people who work in perfect harmony for the attainment of a definite purpose.

1.It is the principle through which you may borrow and use the education, influence and the capital of other people in carrying out your own plans in life. It is the principle through which you can accomplish more in one year than you can accomplish in a lifetime, if you depended entirely on your own success.

2.When you form a true Mastermind alliance with people and work with them in true harmony, you can draw freely upon the spiritual forces within you in carrying out your plan and desires.

3.It can give you absolute protection in failure, provided that your purpose is beneficial to all that you influence.
Action

1.Decide definitely where you wish to be and what you wish to be doing.
2.How much money you desire to be making and what you are going to do to earn it.
3.Form a mastermind alliance with one person in your family and one person among those to whom you are selling your services.
There’s no such thing as something for nothing. Everything, including your personal success, has a price that must be paid. The only price you have to pay is the effort to take the steps suggested.

Control your mental attitude and make yourself agreeable.

A negative mental attitude can bring you nothing but failure.

Your mental attitude is the one and only thing that you can control.

“Success” is the knowledge with which to get whatever you want from life without violating the rights of others and by helping others to acquire it.

Remember:
“Your only real limitation is the one you set up and accept in your own mind”.

If you are not in a position or role where you are not allowed to go the extra mile, change positions and market your services where it pays for you to go the extra mile.

The motive of love is one way of being enthusiastic.

Where there is no motive, there is apt to be no enthusiasm.

Three Basic Motives That Rule The World:
1.Emotion of Love
2.Emotion of Sex
3.Desire for Financial Gain

Part 9 ~ Personal Initiative

The Sixteen Traits Of People With Personal Initiative

“There are two kinds of men who never amount to much: those who will not do what they are told and those who can do nothing else.” Cyrus H. Curtis

“A winner never quits. A quitter never wins.”

An outline of the more important attributes of a person with sufficient personal initiative to give him leadership in his
given profession in life:

1.Has a definite purpose in life and paln of it’s attainment.
2.Mastermind alliance with those who are essential in it’s purpose.

Part 10 ~ Learning From Adversity

Find benefits from all experiences in life, including the negative experiences.

“You lose that which you do not use” – this includes your mind.

Remember: “Nothing can be called a failure until you accept it as such”.

Part 11 ~ Creative Vision

Two Forms of imagination:

1.Synthetic – consists of organising and putting together ideas and facts arranged in a new combination. Very seldom does someone put together something new – it’s a combination of something old.

2.Creative Imagination – operates through the 6th sense (base in the unconscious). It is how new ideas are revealed. The best ideas are yet to be revealed

Part 12 ~ Accurate Thinking

Two Simple Fundamental Type Of Reasoning: Inductive and Deductive

1.Inductive – where you don’t have the facts
2.Deductive – where you do have the facts and separate out the fact from fiction

Important and Unimportant facts

What is an important fact and how do you distinguish it from an unimportant fact?
Any important fact that will aid you to any extent whatsoever in attaining your major purpose in life.

Opinions

Most opinions are without value because they are based on bias, prejudice, intolerace, guess-work, hear-say evidence and ignorance.

“I cannot answer your question because I have no facts on which to base my opinion.” Woodrow Wilson.

A simple rule to avoid being misled by other people:
When you hear someone make a statement that your reason cannot accept as sound or you question, ask a simple forward question:

“How do you know?”
Force the speaker to either reveal the source or to reject the statement as false.

•Never accept the opinions of other people as being facts until you have learned the source of those opinions and satisfied yourself of their accuracy.

Free advice is worth exactly what it costs.

Alert yourself immediately if someone talks slanderously as this should indicate that this is based on bias.

Never disclose what you want the information to be.

Anything that exists in the universe can be proved. Where no such proof is available it’s safer to assume nothing exists.

Truth and falsehood carry with them a silent and invisible means of identifying that they are true or false.

Follow the habit of asking “How do you know?”.

Study yourself carefully as you may discover that your emotions are your greatest a handicap in the business of accurate thinking.

It is easy for you to believe that which you wish to believe… and most people do.
