★Themed Playlists

I had an idea for what thought would be a neat playlist so I am making a thread for themed playlists.

All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.

Life Less Ordinary

Ok, this one isn’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea. It would work well for a nice dinner or wine and cheese on the deck with a small group of friends or someone special. It would be great with an ocean breeze at sunset or a winter evening with a fireplace.
(One thing I do sometimes is to open two windows with bmindful. I can play through people’s playlists in one instance and continue posting or reading in the other.)

Instrumental Stuff for Affirmation Tapes
————————————————————

Finding good background music for a relaxation tape is not the easiest thing to do. Finding GREAT background music poses an even bigger challenge. I am listing some artists for you to explore. You can find a few real gems here. Of course, many of their pieces won’t work, but many will and some of them even have a considerable amount of energy which could be useful for some types of subliminal tapes. Who wants to listen to ultra-laid-back stuff all the time? I’ll see if I can find some good links, but if I can’t for all of these just scan some of their stuff on Amazon. And remember, one particular album might not have any songs you could use, but I am listing these guys because I know that they at least have some pieces that would work really well.

Larry Carlton, Lee Ritenour, Acoustic Alchemy, Pat Metheny, Phil Keaggy, Toots Thielmans, Earl Klugh, Bob James, George Benson, Enya, are some that come to mind. Movie soundtracks would also be a good source. Hans Zimmer, James Horner, John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith come to mind.

Oh, look what I found when I was trying to find some examples for you!!!
100 Greatest Film Score Composers
Also, when I went to youtube to start looking for links I typed in one of the composers names and I found that there are lots of links to many of the composers’ “greatest hits”. You can just watch/listen to one video and get a taste of the composer’s style.

I wonder what it would sound like to mix some sounds of waterfalls or rain with some of this kind of stuff.

Another thing you could do would be to find a Karaoke version of a song you love and just add your affirmations to that. You can also find instrumentals of lots of pop songs. Elevator Music. You might also try searching for trance music and some electronica stuff.
