★Who the Heck was Jimmy Doolittle?

I had this idea for a thread. Please share information about people you think people should know about, but probably don’t. This would also be a good place to share important speeches. Maybe one of you will post the “I Have A Dream Speech” and tell us what it means to you, or perhaps the Gettysburg Address and your thoughts on it’s relevance. I would dearly love to read some of your thoughts on these wonderful things. Who was Charles Steinmetz? Who was Friedrich August Hayek? There are lots of people who touch all of our lives in profound ways, and yet many of us know little or nothing about them. Did John Adams or Mother Theresa say or do something that has special meaning for you? Who the heck WAS Jimmy Doolittle? Too much important stuff is being ignored and forgotten in a world that sometimes feels like it is spinning out of control. Stories and thoughts that you share here will, I hope, be a touchstone of strength and inspiration for all of us.

In response to themadcookieman’s post:

I have mentioned that I really loved the book “The Wizard” the story of one great inventor named Nikola Tesla. Here is the information of another follower of his. Thomas Henry Moray. I found this sentence to be true about people who are truly ahead of their time.

“They find themselves isolated from the rest of the world because they would not accept the dictates of big business and the outside pressure groups.”

We need more great thinkers instead of the computer doing everything for us. Why don’t we invent like we did when we were kids? Instant gratification has taken the place of creativity.

Do you ever feel like bmindful has become more of a stuffy billboard rather than a place to share and discuss interesting things. I do. Let’s liven this place up a bit!

I just recently found out about a guy named William Wilberforce
I’m surprised I never heard of him before. I guess they didn’t think it was important to mention him in my “Joys of Socialism”, er… I mean Political Science class.

I believe that if it weren't for the suppression of inventions of people like Tesla and Reich, and I am absolutely serious about this, that we would no longer be using fossile fuel at all, we would already have advanced technology in literally printing food, creating rain in drought stricken areas and, again I am not kidding, we would already have flying cars. The bankers/illuminati/elites, whatever you choose to call them, have cost humanity a century of development.
