What is this ebb & flow?

It’s easy to acknowledge the roller coaster of emotions I have been on of late (post broken heart/pre divorce), but now this is different. I wake up on an up note which builds gradually till late afternoon and then I drag home weary and full of angst and self doubt. I don’t mean to sound pathetic because I’m really not and I’m sure it’s not my job, my job is one of my blessings. I think it’s physiological, but is it a natural clock, could it be diet? Is this bio-rythm? How do you roll? Should I have put this in “the definition of insanity”? :) Moody Jan

Just my off the cuff take on things:
Could be many things..But to keep it simple rule out what you can, while taking care of you..And the worst case scenario..something will improve, if not everything.

Going through changes evokes change in the mind body and spirit, and I’d say you’ve been through some changes..no matter how much acceptance and positivity you have. Would you agree?
A quick lil’ inventory..
Are you exercising? Are you eating well? Have you had a decent physical? Could it be hormonal? Do you get enough rest? Do you have healthy friends/support? Do you write regularly..and do you note how you are doing at different times after activities or different times of the day? Thoughts/moods do change at certain times (bio-rhythms) . It’s normal..And the more in touch you are with you..the more you can find the remedy for Jan(:

Make it fun, and journal blocks of time->how are you doing, what did you do, and what could you have done even better..and when will you start?

Do you have an accountability-buddy?
I have one who is in bmindful..And just thought of accountability is motivating… with someone you are comfortable with(:

How are you speaking to yourself? Are you being real loving to yourself?
That’s a biggy.

Change what you can, that you know would improve your life..(health..thoughts etc), and don’t be hard on yourself.

Counteract any thought that feels lousy, with words that feel like loving hugs.

I love ya jancydat! And I hope something I mentioned is half way decent food for thought(:

Ebb and Flow ~ words by db… copyright 2010.

So natural, this fine rhythm, what is this Ebb and Flow,
My heart adrift on an ocean of lettin’ go?
I drag home weary, full of angst and self doubt,
I feel the toll on my body, as these thoughts swirl ‘round and about.
I just want to know,
What is this Ebb and Flow?

Give me seven seas of reason,
Give me faith, keep it strong,
Let my heart go the distance,
To the place I belong.
Let the wind fill my sails,
Let Peace fill my soul,
Love heal my resistance,
To this letting go,
Oh, I just want to know,
What is this Ebb and Flow?

I rise up early, set my sail to greet the dawn.
Come evenin’, star crossed, just holdin’ on,
I don’t mean to sound pathetic and I don’t need sympathy.
I’m just trying to find some blessed way to cool this fire burns inside of me.
I just want to know
What is this Ebb and Flow?

Give me seven seas of reason,
Give me faith, keep it strong,
Let my heart go this distance,
To the place I belong.
Let the wind fill my sails,
Let Peace fill my soul,
Love heal my resistance,
To this letting go,
And I just want to know,
What is this Ebb and Flow?

Could it be some unearthly body?
Or the stirring of a saintly soul?
Maybe I need religion?
Maybe it’s the way I roll?

Could it be a holy message sent?
Is there a wicked warning with these winds?
Maybe it’s a sign from the heavens?
Come to deliver me from this sin?

Maybe it’s the rising of the devil
Comin’ to battle with an ancient foe?
Well, I just want to know.
What is this Ebb and Flow?
Lord, won’t somebody tell me,
What is this Ebb and Flow?

Seven seas of reason,
Saints ‘n sinners, swear I am strong.
Let my heart go the distance,
To the place I belong
But, I just need to know,
What is this Ebb and Flow?
Won’t somebody tell me,
What is this Ebb and Flow?

Let the wind fill my sails
Let Peace fill my soul
Let my love be the only guide
To this letting go
But I just need to know
What is this Ebb and Flow?

WOW db, that’s beautiful

...what a wonderful world….

In response to jancydat’s post:
I am actually under the impression that you are on high spirit and in the flow. I was not aware of your situation, but had the impression some months ago that there were turbulances, which have now dissolved.
I believe when going through changes, it is natural for the brain to have fears. It is though up to you to not let it take over “you”. I have all the faith in your strength to keep on flowing. Love you Jan.
Besides, if it were not for the ebb, you would not be able to aknowledge and enjoy the flow.

...what a wonderful world….

So true Afi, the lows allow the highs to shine. Thanks for your vote of confidence:) You cannot imagine how meaningful the support I receive here is. Having talked and thought about this, I’m thinking (and have said to another dear friend) that I have a lot of time to myself at my job; therefore a lot of time for my mind to wander and overwork sometimes negative thoughts. Now, this seems an obvious recipe for a downturn in mood which, of course, translates through to physical fatigue as well.
I have been letting myself down. Literally.
I need to make some small pictures and brief affirmations – maybe a cube – which I can keep in front of me to remind myself of the power of our thoughts and the price we can pay when negativity sneaks in.
At my post;) Jan

PS I agree WOW! Good on db!

In response to jancydat’s post:
Keep up w/what you know works for you. I believe we all are in agreement to keep things real (true to yourself and the elements of the infamous big picture).

We all have certain areas that need more attention than others..when you choose your ultimate focus that needs you the most..you will gravitate toward that area in your own wonderful creative-beautiful-Jan way, that is uniquely and beautifully yours(:

I’m a big believer in—self care/self love. So many things can be put in that criteria for each of us if we personally take that regular time to think about what does that mean to me? Or another approach, Anthony Robbins mentions..with the question where does it hurt? Once defined, the big picture of self care and the question where does it hurt..we will all be kept busy and focused with passion/enthusiasm for a life time.

The where does it hurt question, is a wonderful processing question.
No one walks around without a stitch of something on their minds.

If it’s wanting more out of your life, give more to your life.
If it’s wanting more belief in yourself..create an image/direction of how you see your best self..and pattern your walk with your most healthy/loving/creative self.

Because..it is my view the more you do, think and feel in areas that cater to hugging your whole self—the more you can only be in that flow of good stuff better better better ..most of the time.

Much love and respect for your delightful and loving journey(:

jan i love your idea of making pictures /affirmations .db is so talented with the beauifull poem ,this is such a lovely community to belong to ,and i can almost feel your spirit lifting through thelovingposts you deserve to recieve ,love flowergirl

In response to flowergirl’s post:
I so agree with you Flowergirl!!!!!!!!

This creation of Lee’s allows each bmindful member to connect, embrace, nurture and accept self and their God-Love in each moment…and then the equally wonderful part, they can pass it on to anyone their vibration resonates with.

So many think the world lacks ‘something’. When you come here, you forget what is missing ‘out there’, and nurture the parts of you that gets hidden/lost a bit out “there”.

Then when you are in the world with those who feed on pain and negativity/misery…you can reboot with an entire community that sees love and life as one in the same….and bring it back “out there” and share without losing a thing. How beautiful is that? A community that reboots your best self..

laurie i love that
a community that reboots your best self ,that is so true ,love flowergirl

Thanks so much Laurie for “getting me” and how loving and helpful this community can be.

I agree it’s so great that we can be nurtured here in addition to finding others whose interest and faith lies in positive affirmations and LOA.

Flowergirl, thank you for your kind note. I’m sure you could knock something out pretty quickly for me with all of your ideas.;D
I wonder if there are many affirmations on file for creativity.
If we pooled our
FAITH and
FOCUSed on our creative
VISIONs we would be a
POWERful force.
Love, Positive Jan
