Isn't it wonderful that even the dynamic duo found time to exhibit their joy? Often we are so caught up in the stresses of daily life we forget to take the time to enjoy the moment.  Whether it is something as simple as extending a smile to someone or an encouraging word and actually  receiving and acknowledging their response, an exchange of the moments of life. Let us take time to share the things that have brought us smiles and giggles along the way on this amazing journey.

I live in Saint Louis, Missouri there is a saying which is true, if you don't like the whether, wait five minutes, cause it will change. On Thursday, the temperature was around 59 degrees fast forward to Friday morning it was in the teens. I volunteer at my church outreach program and normally arrive around 5:00AM.  When I got there people were outside the building sitting in chairs, wrapped up in quilts, blankets and anything else that would bring them warmth. Normally we don't open the doors until 6:00AM. There was no way I could experience the comfort of  warmth and allow them to suffer to I let everyone inside the chapel.

I asked for their patience while I made coffee, hot chocolate and set things up for them. Everyone who crossed over the threshold expressed their gratitude. They were most cooperative, quiet and patient while I ran around busily getting everything ready. By 6:00 AM coffee, hot chocolate and pastries were served. Everything went off without a hitch. Some people commented on how they had never been let in early before. I told them it's the dawn of a new day and anything and everything is possible. Their gratitude and appreciation made my heart sing a beautiful song of JOY.

I am discovering that there is always something to be joyful/happy about. Whether it is a shared smile, a warm greeting of appreciation or something scrumptious to eat, joy is always lurking waiting for you to discover it....

I had my first day back after being quite ill. My joy is the appreciation of better better health. 

... and talk about fresh eyes... All feels beautifully new... 

I could create a scroll of gratitude right now...

I am so joyful for "basics"... I am still pacing myself...though ...I am smiling from my inside out

It' is amazing how joy and gratitude go hand in hand together like salt and pepper.  When you allow yourself to take a step back and soak it all in joy is everywhere, like a gentle breeze kissing your face.

Sharing Joy is contagious, I have witnessed this myself.  When you share the twinkle in your eye and the smile on your lips with others they become joyful too for the joyful energy flow travels, such a beautiful thing and it feels wonderful.
