“To boldly and or vulnerably go where no one has gone before”

Letting go involves being aware of a feeling, letting it come up, staying with
it, and letting it run its course without wanting to make it different or do
anything about it. It means simply to let the feeling be there and to focus on
letting out the energy behind it. The first step is to allow yourself to have the
feeling without resisting it, venting it, fearing it, condemning it, or moralizing
about it. It means to drop judgment and to see that it is just a feeling. The
technique is to be with the feeling and surrender all efforts to modify it in any
way. Let go of wanting to resist the feeling. It is resistance that keeps the
feeling going. When you give up resisting or trying to modify the feeling, it
will shift to the next feeling and be accompanied by a lighter sensation. A
feeling that is not resisted will disappear as the energy behind it dissipates.
As you begin the process, you will notice that you have fear and guilt
over having feelings; there will be resistance to feelings in general. To let
feelings come up, it is easier to let go of the reaction to having the feelings in
the first place. A fear of fear itself is a prime example of this. Let go of the
fear or guilt that you have about the feeling first, and then get into the feeling
itself.
When letting go, ignore all thoughts. Focus on the feeling itself, not on
the thoughts. Thoughts are endless and self-reinforcing, and they only breed
more thoughts. Thoughts are merely rationalizations of the mind to try and
explain the presence of the feeling. The real reason for the feeling is the
accumulated pressure behind the feeling that is forcing it to come up in the
moment. The thoughts or external events are only an excuse made up by the
mind.
As we become more familiar with letting go, it will be noticed that all
negative feelings are associated with our basic fear related to survival and that
all feelings are merely survival programs that the mind believes are necessary.
The letting go technique undoes the programs progressively. Through that
process, the underlying motive behind the feelings becomes more and more
apparent.
To be surrendered means to have no strong emotion about a thing: “It’s
okay if it happens, and it’s okay if it doesn’t.” When we are free, there is a
letting go of attachments. We can enjoy a thing, but we don’t need it for our
happiness. There is progressive diminishing of dependence on anything or
anyone outside of ourselves. These principles are in accord with the basic
teaching of the Buddha to avoid attachment to worldly phenomena, as well as
the basic teaching of Jesus Christ to “be in the world but not of

This is from pg; 187 Doc Hawkins along the path daily reflections.

Surrender of the personal will to the will (wisdom) of God (or

Providence or higher power) signifies relinquishment of control.

One can expect the ego to resist doing so,and it invents excuses,

counterarguments, and multiple fears in order to maintain illusory

control. The ego’s positions are reinforced by pride as well as desire

for specific results. Thus to the ego,to step back and invite the

intervention of Divinity seems like a loss;whereas,to the spirit,it

is definitely a win.

I found this Abe quote about breathing.

Deep breathing is a big part of your well-being because with that deep breathing, there is an activation on a cellular level. In other words, it is the current that carries the vitality to the extremities of the cells. And so, the more you are breathing, the more you are thriving.

Some say it is the way the spirit moves. We would say it is the way life moves most efficiently through your physical body. And fortunately, it is something that is not left to your conscious mind. You don’t have to prompt yourself to breathe, it just happens. But, you can prompt yourself to breathe more.

We encourage that you deliberately take some air in. And then before you let it out, take some more air in. And before you let it out, and you say, I can’t take anymore in, because there is no place for it to go. And we say, yes there is, take some more in.

Expand your capacity. Your lungs, like balloons, can be all shriveled up, or expanded fully. As you move on a regular basis, they expand somewhat, but they don’t expand fully. As you deliberately breathe deeper, it becomes more natural for them to get fuller, and before you know it, it will be an involuntary thing. You will naturally breathe more deeply.

And your bodies will thrive. It’s even more important than drinking water. It’s right up there with life itself.

When concentrating on your breathing, you are not concentrating on other things. And in that absence of resistance, you are also allowing an alignment of energy. So you get a double whammy with it. You’re aligning with source energy. You are literally feeding the cells of you body, allowing oxygen to breathe the extremities of your cells. Everybody comes alive. and everything works better. Metabolism works better, elimination works better, clarity works better, blood flows better. Thriving comes from this.

Stillness

There are millions of alcoholics on this planet, I was one of them. Fact is if I don't take a drink I'm not an alcoholic.

Being a somewhat complex individual I tried for many years to get and stay sober.

The complexity with me was I was unaware of the fact that I needed to understand why I could not

stop drinking if I took a drink of booze. The answer to this mystery was the key that set me free from another relapse. Saying this because if your an alcoholic and still on the relapse merry go round, and wish you could simply be free of taking that first drink then I’ll share the key that

gave me the insight and power to not relapsing again, it just so happens that reading a book that clearly defined the problem was what saved me.  I didn’t have a clue how much power I would naturally attain just by (UNDERSTANDING)why I DRANK TO COMPLETE DRUNKEN OBLIVION after

even a beer or any amount of alcohol. So understanding the facts of alcoholism may or may not be

the missing piece of the puzzle, but it was for me and what if reading a simple book was what was needed to free yourself. Your life is certainly worth the price of a book.

When you follow these five steps for fulfilling your desires, intention generates its own power:

3. remain in the state of self-referral

A condensed way of expressing my  journey or "my story" having a natural innate curiosity for right brain thinking or metapysically dimension of life.

Somehow I consciously made secondary the left brain thinking mind, by drinking alcohol as a conscious tool to the point where I activated the right brain in other words oblivion, lol.

Mainly though in my 20's I DEVELOPED the capacity to listen clearly to whatever speaker of interest was saying, drunk or sober. That has always been my best quality and also creating a foundation in my consciousness that would support all the info I deemed useful for the next 35 years, in other words if I filed it under wisdom or something I could use I remembered it, and some info was irrelevant of course so it was not part of the structure I was building. So long story short I somehow could sift through stuff and read or hear things with acute intuitive attention.

This being about 15% of my "story"

That was about 30 years ago, in those days a more accurate name could have been serenity half baked

“The braver I am, the luckier I get.”

“WE CAN DO HARD THINGS”

We are here to fully introduce ourselves, to impose ourselves and ideas and thoughts and dreams onto the world, leaving it changed forever by who we are and what we bring forth from our depths. So we cannot contort ourselves to fit into the visible order. We must unleash ourselves and watch the world reorder itself in front of our eyes.”

“I’m not a mess but a deeply feeling person in a messy world. I explain that now, when someone asks me why I cry so often, I say, ‘For the same reason I laugh so often — because I'm paying attention.’ I tell them that we can choose to be perfect and admired or to be real and loved. We must decide.”

“What I thought would kill me, didn’t. Every time I said to myself: I can’t take this anymore — I was wrong. The truth was that I could and did take it all — and I kept surviving. Surviving again and again made me less afraid of myself, of other people, of life.”

“Life is a conversation. Make it a good one.”

One can fall into the temptation of feeling sorry for oneself, or feeling angry or worried. I love the idea of this thread!

I just picked up a book I hadn’t looked at in a very look time, and loved how the page I opened up to was perfect for inspiring what really matters to me. Thank you for creating this thread. I will begin to use it for this now… sharing what works when I find it ‘accidentally’

excerpt by Dr. Robert Anthony

It is not your action that makes things happen, it is your intent. You can reduce the need for action to a very minimum by allowing yourself to focus on what you desire until you feel the positive energy begin to move within you. This energy is not based on doubt, fear, anxiety, worry or need. If you focus on what you want instead of what you don't want, you will know when it is time to take action. And when you do, it will be effortless. Doors open and the entire universe will conspire to assist you in your desire.

Put simply, you should take no action on anything until you have visualized your desire and made it real enough in your mind that your next action, whatever it is, seems like the most logical step.

How can you know the next logical step? Here is the test that you can give to yourself before taking any action. If you focus on what you desire and still feel overwhelmed or anxious, then you are not ready for any action. You know you are ready when it feels like the next logical step is effortless. There is no effort, no strain, and no pain.

What we want to do is to use the leverage of energy, the same leverage of energy that creates everything in the universe. However, we are so caught up in the reality of WHAT IS, that we feel we must create everything through mental effort and physical activity.Have you ever seen people who seem to have all the wonderful things in their life without much effort? It almost seems like they have an advantage over everyone else. Then you see the people who work the hardest usually have the least. That doesn't seem fair does it? But that's the way the universe works. Unfortunately, those who work the hardest usually have the least because they haven't learned the leverage of aligning their energy. They are going about creating their lives the hard way. They are relying on only their actions to create what they want.

Joy... I am going to enter into this game of life with great enthusiasm, with calm joy and with a deep and abiding faith in the Invisible. Every tomorrow will be better than today. My experience will continuously expand until limitations, as I now understand them; will have passed entirely from my experience. It is the life more abundant that I have sought, and now I accept that I have an Infinite Power at my disposal.✰。˚ ˚ღ。 ˛˚ 。✰˚* ˚ ★ღ ˚ 。✰Ernest Holmes

And I commend to you the simple practice of extending unconditional love to another person at least once a day, every day, for the rest of your life. You’ll heal your world in delightful and surprising ways. Yet it is important to understand that love’s power can be trivialized. “Love heals” has been a popular notion for centuries. It has enjoyed a recent resurgence that has had an unfortunate side effect. Many people who do not get well, in the sense of a clinical cure, are made to feel guilty that they were not able to care enough or demonstrate ample enough compassion to effect healing. For them, love does not heal. Love is a cruel master. This “guilt-tripping,” this illusion that we have total control, misses the point entirely. It damages the individual and it relegates unconditional loving to a technique, a modality in health and healing. Love is much more than a prescription. There is no formula that universally links spiritual perfection and clinical cures. Those who make such claims are misguided. Rather, love transforms suffering — a crucial distinction. That transformation may include a clinical cure; it may not. Cure is not the standard for judging. For even the process of death is transformed by unconditional loving. We can leave the world filled with joyful memories, an example of how to love. That’s healing of the highest order. Arid death cannot be counted, then, as failure.

The following was written my life-coach Jennifer Louden :

    • Greatest fear dissolver I never thought of myself as a fearful person — just the opposite, in fact. I was pretty fearless! After a few years of suffering, I realized that what had been shoving me into a smaller, narrower, far less rewarding life for years was actually fear. And I didn’t even know it. Anxiety, feelings of being overwhelmed, and even procrastination and self‐pity are often symptoms of fearfulness — fear of being fully alive, fear of death, fear of meaninglessness, fear of growing old. Once I saw the insidious ways that fear was ruling me, I began to learn about everything I could possibly do to dissolve it. I’m going to share one idea, an idea so small that it’s easy to overlook, yet can open the way to a far more courageous, alive life.

To thrive in the face of fear, uncertainty and even deep grief, you first need to acknowledge that you don’t want to do anything to make yourself feel better.

“What?! I don’t want to feel like my head is going to pop off. I want to feel good.”

The truth is, most of us you wants to feel better. But parts of you don’t. Like all of us, you contain a multitude of selves, and some of those selves hate change, even if it’s shifting from “My head is going to pop off” to “I can handle what life brings my way. ” These aspects must be acknowledged or they can keep you stuck — for years.

“I don’t feel like doing anything” — and that’s OK

Have you ever seen a tired, fearful child trying to get her parent’s attention? Mom keeps putting off the child, and the child’s behavior keeps escalating until she gets undivided attention. Once the parent gives the child loving attention, the child, in most cases, calms down.

Parts of you and me are like that child. Before you can deal with your fear, before you can take action to create a life you love, you must acknowledge the resistance, the whiny voice that says, “I don’t want to do anything! I just want this all to go away!”

By simply acknowledging — without judgment — that you don’t want to do anything (even fun things like taking a bath or going to yoga), you extend mercy and compassion to yourself. In doing so, you calm the parts of you that are freaking out. You stop the inner rebellion that typically results in you not doing anything (that’s how procrastination starts) or nurturing yourself in ways that don’t truly nourish you, like watching hours of TV or eating a pint of ice cream.

Love = acknowledgment

This doesn’t mean you let yourself be ruled by the parts of you that don’t want to do anything to feel better. The parent does not give the child whatever she wants — even if the child is throwing a tantrum in the grocery store. Loving acknowledgment actually restores the wise you to the center of your life, freeing you to choose what you want to do and opening up to life instead of shutting yourself down.

_So, when you’re feeling squirrelly, whiny or stuck, take yourself by the hand and say something like, “I don’t feel like doing anything, but I can acknowledge how I feel without being impressed by it. I can accept that I am feeling this way, even if only for a blink of an eye. And when this part of myself feels heard, I can ask, &;squo; What is one thing I can do to be kind to myself right now?’” ***Love, which is what acknowledgment really amounts to, is truly the great fear dissolver._***

Acknowledge your resistance and watch yourself bloom!

In life, the question is not if you will have problems, but how you are going to deal with your problems. If the possibility of failure were erased, what would you attempt to achieve?

The essence of man is imperfection. Know that you're going to make mistakes. The fellow who never makes a mistake takes his orders from one who does. Wake up and realize this: Failure is simply a price we pay to achieve success.

Achievers are given multiple reasons to believe they are failures. But in spite of that, they persevere. The average for entrepreneurs is 3.8 failures before they finally make it in business.

When achievers fail, they see it as a momentary event, not a lifelong epidemic.

Procrastination is too high a price to pay for fear of failure. To conquer fear, you have to feel the fear and take action anyway. Forget motivation. Just do it. Act your way into feeling, not wait for positive emotions to carry you forward.

Recognize that you will spend much of your life making mistakes. If you can take action and keep making mistakes, you gain experience.

Life is playing a poor hand well. The greatest battle you wage against failure occurs on the inside, not the outside.

Why worry about things you can't control when you can keep yourself busy controlling the things that depend on you?

Handicaps can only disable us if we let them. If you are continually experiencing trouble or facing obstacles, then you should check to make sure that you are not the problem.

Be more concerned with what you can give rather than what you can get because giving truly is the highest level of living.

Embrace adversity and make failure a regular part of your life. If you're not failing, you're probably not really moving forward.

Everything in life brings risk. It's true that you risk failure if you try something bold because you might miss it. But you also risk failure if you stand still and don't try anything new.

The less you venture out, the greater your risk of failure. Ironically the more you risk failure — and actually fail — the greater your chances of success.

If you are succeeding in everything you do, then you're probably not pushing yourself hard enough. And that means you're not taking enough risks. You risk because you have something of value you want to achieve.

The more you do, the more you fail. The more you fail, the more you learn. The more you learn, the better you get.

Determining what went wrong in a situation has value. But taking that analysis another step and figuring out how to use it to your benefit is the real difference maker when it comes to failing forward. Don't let your learning lead to knowledge; let your learning lead to action.

The last time you failed, did you stop trying because you failed, or did you fail because you stopped trying?

Commitment makes you capable of failing forward until you reach your goals. Cutting corners is really a sign of impatience and poor self-discipline.

Successful people have learned to do what does not come naturally. Nothing worth achieving comes easily. The only way to fail forward and achieve your dreams is to cultivate tenacity and persistence.

Never say die. Never be satisfied. Be stubborn. Be persistent. Integrity is a must. Anything worth having is worth striving for with all your might.

If we look long enough for what we want in life we are almost sure to find it. Success is in the journey, the continual process. And no matter how hard you work, you will not create the perfect plan or execute it without error. You will never get to the point that you no longer make mistakes, that you no longer fail.

The next time you find yourself envying what successful people have achieved, recognize that they have probably gone through many negative experiences that you cannot see on the surface.

Fail early, fail often, but always fail forward.

The Law of Least Effort -Deepak Choprah

Nature’s intelligence functions with effortless ease…with carefreeness, harmony, and love.

And when we harness the forces of harmony, joy, and love, we create success and good fortune with effortless ease.
“do less and accomplish more.” Ultimately you come to the state where you do nothing and accomplish everything.

Nature’s intelligence functions effortlessly, frictionlessly, spontaneously. It is non-linear; it is intuitive, holistic, and nourishing.

…when your actions are motivated by love, there is no waste of energy.

…three components to the Law of Least Effort…The first component is acceptance…You can wish for things in the future to be different, but in this moment you have to accept things as they are.

 …the second component…responsibility.
Having accepted this circumstance, this event, this problem, responsibility then means the ability to have a creative response to the situation as it is now.

The third component…defenselessness
If you just relinquish the need to defend your point of view, you will in that relinquishment, gain access to enormous amounts of energy that have been previously wasted.

You do not need to justify; simply declare your intent to yourself, and you will experience fulfillment, delight, joy, freedom, and autonomy in every moment in your life.
