I know you love birds! I know you love flowers! This is a parrot flower.
Poppy shared the following on recent Happiness Mtg:
"Total Knee Replacement"
BY POPPY
Completely at ease
I am two days away
To horrific pain
My knee
You see
Is not
Working for me
In just two hours
On the table I'll lay
And dream of walking
Free of fear
Of falling down
When my bones
Grind and ground
My bionic knee
Will be stapled closed
A large dressing
Will hide a
Frankenstein stitch
I'll be up that day
And walking around
And bending and straightening
And bending and straightening
The soft tissue all around
Will be screaming
"Oh! What have you done?"
I'll swell and cry
You'll have no fun!
To therapeutic torture
I'll go day after day
He'll bend and flex
And break my scar
Completely at ease
I'll laugh at the pain
Until one day
I'll walk again
Pain free
On my bionic knee!
And soon after he added this:
I appreciate the kind thoughts and encouragement from everyone. Today is my last day at work and tonight I prep myself for surgery tomorrow morning. I know what I'm in for because I had my left knee repaired 5 months ago. The healing process starts with a simple thought, an intention to be better, do better. Life truly is a journey, not a destination. Enjoy the ride!

In response to AlwaysWonderfulPossibilities's post:Surgery went well. I'm in my 5 star hotel room resting and relaxing. I signed on to Bmindful and lo and behold I was pleasantly surprised to see a thread for me. Thank you Self-Care. I'm doing a little Self -Care myself. This brightened my day immensely. You and Bmindful and all our family are just Wonderful! Thank you so very much.

I had to take out my nerve block today. I was expecting some discomfort as the numbing effect started wearing off. That has not been the case so far. My knee is doing better than I could have ever anticipated. I am sure it is nothing less than a miracle. I am shocked and amazed. Everyone has sent such love and healing energy that hurting has not been an option. Thank you one and all.

I cannot describe how much I appreciate you well wishes for me. I am in the healing stage where I am questioning why I would bring so much pain to myself. I simply have to work myself through the pain. It is the only way. It sure helps to be able to take comfort knowing you are helping me through the rough times. Thank you so very much!

Hi Poppy!
Just letting you know that I recently had a sudden issue with my left knee, and I was totally beside myself! Terrible timing! Now, things are getting much better, gratefully!!

I'm finally back among the living. Again I would like to say how wonderful and thankful I am to have so much healing energy flowing my way. I visited my surgeon today and he was very well pleased with my progress. As much as I welcome everyone's kind thoughts and prayers, I think it is time to allow this thread to fade away. There are many others on this forum that need our positive energy and prayers more than I. So please let us band together and direct our loving healing energies to all of Bmindful.
